How to Beat Champion Cynthia & Garchomp in Pokémon League
Orange: So far we've actually been able to one shot every Pokemon

Had to stall with my medicham and it was a tie
With Tiny Tim as the new Champion, that only means one thing...
*Cynthia's gonna go back to Undella Town to haunt more innocent trainers with her piano*
She then mails the piano to Super Smash Bros, who then sends it back in time to Hisui.

signify anyone’s team annihilation as Cynthia brings
the pain with competitive items and Pokémon.
I can agree on that. It took me several tries to beat her. Honestly if I had changed up my team to what I have now, I probably would have a better time against her.
That’s what makes Cynthia so much fun to take on! She’s a real challenge to so many players!

Imo, she's overated. Sure, Garchomp is really her only notable Pokémon apart from Lucario, but the 4x weakness to Ice is such a disadvantage. You wonder why Empoleon is a great starter and why any high level (Solid special defense and good nature, too) Pokémon that can still tank a shot and still OHKO her Garchomp. Her team is pretty weak, annoying, but weak. You really only have take in type advantage, the perfect IVs/EVs they have, and to get rid of/or expend their items as soon as possible. Never played Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, but this is was still easy. Just grind before you enter the Pokémon League and you're good. This game made it so much easier with the Great Underground. My only issue was not being prepared in terms of what Pokémon she would put out, with that out of the way, you're still bound to use Full Restores and Revives. If I had known exactly what her rotation was, the battle would've been quicker.
I can agree to some extent on that, but I’d actually like to challenge him and his team to a battle one day. That battle had me on the edge of my seat, but I’d like to see who would win between the two of us.

Man, Cynthia's Milotic was an absolute beast. It actually ended my first try against her. Though, my favorite moment against her was the double KO I got against her Garchomp. While it just survived my Gardevoir's Moonblast, when it came for the kill with Poison Jab, it knocked itself out because the Gardevoir had Traced its Rough Skin 😅
i think this really goes to prove that togekiss is probably the one most op pokemon to have in bdsp

Awesome job, Munch! This fight has me holding my breath almost the whole way through, but I knew you’d take Cynthia down. Can’t wait to see you take on Post Game, and I definitely can’t wait to fight Cynthia for myself! Also I died laughing when you cursed at Milotic; it just caught me so off-guard! “You son of a bitch”, LOL!!
Cynthia's theme is easily one the of the best songs, in my opinion. It genuinely terrifies me, as I know how tough she is. My stomach knots and I get twitchy.
Sneaking in the dragon ball z music like we wouldn't notice
Milotic with the Flame Orb (and what I presume means it’s Marvel Scale) made my jaw drop when I battled Cynthia like I felt actual fear cause that is not something you normally see in main story battles. The E4 has small moments like that even in your first run through it. Like Heracross with Flame Orb to Guts Facade. And I just happened to Thief Alakazam to see if had a Life Orb. These team comps are not messing around, they’re pretty competent for what’s not even considered post game.
they nailed the Elite Four imo, they truly felt elite
She was okay until Milotic, then her garchomp wiped me out entirely…
Same her garchomp took me 3 damn tries
I did it first try
Me too but I just had a Pokémon that outsped her garchomp to defeat her
So i had a mey level 67 with super effective 65 torterra and a level 61 manaphy the manaphy 2 shot garchomp on my 3rd attempt of cynthia my azelf luxray and dialga fainted

Everyone I’ve seen has struggled more against milotic more than garchomp. Such a tank

Idk why people have struggled against the milotic. I used Dry Skin toxicroak. 🤣
Yeah, Milotic is definitely the worst one to face, in my eyes. Eventually you’ll be able to knock them all down with less than 6 Pokémon. I boosted my Gardevoir on Milotic and then I one shot the Garchomp.

Having roserade was very useful here, against milotic, garchomp and gastrodon, however my team was struggling against the lucario instead 😂

I lost three time to Cynthia because her Garchomp swords danced. Then on the fourth try my Infernape got me the win. My full team Infernape, Garchomp, Lucario, Electivire,Lumineon, and Weavile.

Milotic was my MVP for Garchomp! Competive ability raised her spAtk everytime gastrodon lowered her speed with rock tomb. +6 dragon pulse cause Cynthia used swords dance instead of just attacking!
Orange and Rival Butt are like Goku and Krillin
The gym leaders can be rematched DAILY.
Rival Barry can be battled at the fight Area on Saturdays & Sundays.

I beat the elite four and Cynthia in one go alone with my team being in the level 50-55 range. Wouldn't call it easy but it wasn't too difficult either. Had to use up alot of potions and revives!

I literally cried during the hall of fame moment.
I have never played a pokemon game before and only watched your videos on RUclips orange. This year I finally got the switch and played this game through the end and when I saw that me and my time "will be remembered for eternity" in the hall of fame+ when the credits rolled and my character was riding her bike back to home, I couldn't help but ugly cry out of nostalgia.
The milotic was super easy for me. I knocked it out with sheer cold.
Congrats Orange! You did great! Most people get swept by the Garchomp XD

Cynthia was the toughest battle of my life. Overall my favorite Munchingorange series ever. MVP is defiantly Toko he carried against many elite four members.

The MVPs of my team were Zatara the Gardevoir who took out Cynthia's Spiritomb, Gastrodon, AND her Milotic.
And Lynns the Magmortar who dealt with her Roserade and Lucario.
I also have to give credit to Zsasz the Ursaring for helping me within the Elite Four, especially with a Shadow Claw to Lucian's Bronzong's face!
Especially Caitlin Snow the Mamoswine for one-shotting Cynthia's Garchomp despite having a Yacha Berry!
Can't wait for the Gym Leader Rematches AND the Sinnoh League Rematches. They're quite challenging!

Anyone else easily destroy Cynthia? Or maybe I just got lucky...
I used a Haracross with Bulldoze to lower its speed then finish it with Megahorn! (I'm aware that it has Rough Skin, but I wanted to show how tough my Herecross truly is)
I didn't easily destroy her, but she wasn't too difficult when you have a properly planned strat and trained team. Make good usage of moves like Taunt, U-Turn, etc.
I even beat her in original games with ease...
i used a garchomp 3 lvls higher than hers and earthquaked her whole team lol
I was lucky to take out garchomp with my togekiss’s dazzling gleam with a critical hit while the rest of my team fainted

Yo Mo Idk if anyone told ya yet. But that outfit in the final cut scenes was in game! Its called the Spring Outfit or something like that. You should see it when you go to change your style

I took longer stalling out all the recovers on her Milotic with my Luxray going from Discharge to Thunderbolt on each move taking out the health her Milotic just recovered. My MVPs were Torterra, Houndoom, and Luxray.
The rematches are much harder. The hardest rematch of the gym leaders is Crasher Wake. You'll find out soon enough. Still have yet to beat Crasher Wake in the rematches

Cynthia, one of, if not the strongest champion of the Pokémon games. The war flashbacks are coming back to me. That soundtrack, those Pokémon, the Full Restores. Truly, a terrifying final opponent.
People talk about the garchomp, but I honestly had more trouble with that Milotic.
