Hi Melissa, I have a 23 GX460 that has triple beam headlights and I noticed that in the most outer beam led there is a dark spot when the lights are on and the drivers side spot is much much more pronounced than the one on the passenger side. I’ve researched on this and have heard this is to prevent blinding for on coming drivers. Is this true and normal or is my headlight defective? And why is it so pronounced on the driver side and it’s shaped like an eye. Thanks in advance!
Hi. With Lexus, green usually means a safety feature is turned on. Not all of the controls in the vehicle have illumination. I would have your Lexus dealership service department look at it to confirm. Also, make sure the Brightness control for the dash lights is high. If it is, then all of the lights on and around the dash that can come on should come on. Thanks for checking in with me.
You would need to see Service for that. I would go ahead and turn off the Auto High Beams for now and see if that will stop it from giving you the warning lights, but Service will be needed for this. Thanks for checking.
Hi Richard, if you are making a full turn then the indicators will turn off. If you are changing lanes and the vehicle is equipped with the lane change indicator feature, just use a soft press of the stalk. The blinker will flash 3 times for your lane change. The flash amount is customizable by your Lexus dealer. If it is not equipped with the lane change indicator feature, then you will need to bring the indicator stalk back up to the neutral position manually. I hope this helps. Hi! If you have the Door Mode turned on for your dome lights, then at night any exterior lights that the car has for welcome lights should turn on. Usually when you approach the car at night the puddle lights, lights in the door handles, parking lights, etc. will come on to help you see around the vehicle. If you unlock from the key fob, it will flash your parking lights, but the headlights don't turn on until you start the vehicle. I hope this helps.
Hi! I know Lexus released a front facing dashcam that is compatible with a variety of different models, but it does not include a rear-facing dashcam. I'm sorry I'm not trained on after market equipment to make a recommendation for you. I would check with a reputable automotive after market installer and see what they have available. Hi. If you twist the knob at the end of headlight stalk all the way to the bottom, you will be selecting DRL Off and the Daytime Running lights should turn off. Hi Thanh Duong, I'm not aware of the system allowing just one high beam light to turn off and not the other. I have seen F-Sport packages with cornering lights that are designed to illuminate one side as you turn in that direction. Keep in mind that daytime running light are also designed to turn off on the side when a turn signal is flashing. Without knowing more about your specific vehicle and the package on it, I would recommend taking the car in for service to make sure that it is working correctly.
I noticed in the settings there is a timer for interior and exterior lighting. When I leave the lights in auto and I leave the car the headlights stay on for about 30 seconds. I am concerned for batter drain and wanted to know if I can change that time to be 5 or 10 seconds instead? 2022 RX 350 F sport. Thank you!

Thank you for your guidance.I have a question about my new 2023 Lesux ES 350 that water keeps dripping out from outside the two mufflers even in the afternoon when temperature is around 60 F. I live in California and the car is idling ovenight in December.
Hi! The car should not sit at idle overnight. It has an auto shut off feature that should turn the vehicle off after idling for about an hour. It is a safety feature that was started a couple of years ago. But as a best practice, make sure you are turning the car off each time after your drive. And when you remote start, make sure your garage is open if you are parking inside. If you continue to see condensation dripping, I would take it to your Lexus dealer to have a technician look at it for you. Thanks so much for tuning in with me.

To turn off the auto headlights, you would need to also turn off the DRL, they are linked. Other wise you would keep them in Auto or by Manually only select the Daytime Running Light by twisting the control up to that selection.
@@NorthsideLexus there is not an option to turn it off. Theres 3 options, auto, parking lights and low beam. Maybe I could set the 'auto' option to off (that is only DRL) would be great. Thanks for the reply
@@supralover92 Hi :) Check the "Parking Light" selection/ On some models it is actually the Day Time Running Lights and not a smaller parking light. Let me know what you see when you select that and look at the lights up front. Another idea, would be to change the sensitivity for the auto headlights. Menu > Setup > Vehicle > Vehicle Customization > Light Settings > Headlight Sensitivity > change it to the lowest setting. How about that?

Hi RR. It looks like for a 2006 RX330, the headlight time to shut off is about 15 seconds after turning the vehicle off. See page 99 at this Lexus Drivers link for the Owner's Manual. In later models this time can be adjusted in the Customized Settings. For this feature to work, the headlights must be in Auto. Then bring the whole stalk down one more click to the Auto position. Then you can use the dial that is also labeled "Auto" to adjust them all the way to the top to make them the most sensitive. That should get them working correctly for you. I hope this helps.
That will depend on which model and year your Lexus is. Some you, just need to press the button again, others you need to press the button and bring the headlamp stalk back to the regular (not high beam) position. Hope this helps. :)
And I suppose if you hit + it will increase the sensitivity and the headlights will not change to high beam as quickly than if it is in a lower or - setting?

@@NorthsideLexus I guess in my 2020 RX350 the interior lights are either on or off...no brightness adjustment. I was hoping there was a setting to make them brighter.

You can make the lights on the gauge cluster brighter through the up and down arrow buttons to the left of the steering wheel, but the cabin lighting is either on, off, or door mode (for automatic function). Hi! If you turn the Fog Light into On it will be synced with the low beam headlights so if they are set to come on automatically the fog light will com eon when they come on. If you manually turn on the low beams and the fog light is selected to on, they will also turn on. There is not a separate auto feature or sensor for fog lights. I hope this helps. I have a 2016 lexus rc200t. It only has the auto head lights. How can you turn them off (not the DRL) because it is so sensitive.. or you can't?

Is there any way to raise the beam slightly on dipped headlights I find it quite short especially on motorway please.

@@NorthsideLexus I guess in my 2020 RX350 the interior lights are either on or off...no brightness adjustment. I was hoping there was a setting to make them brighter.
@@mellowjammer That's correct. You can make the lights on the gauge cluster brighter through the up and down arrow buttons to the left of the steering wheel, but the cabin lighting is either on, off, or door mode (for automatic function). I am working on a video for the channel about the interior lighting and will make sure to point that out. Thanks again for watching and being a part of our community here! @@Leena1324 Awesome! If you need more help please let me know. I used to have Auto wipers and loved them. My new NXh has Intermittent wipers and it took a couple of times to get used to turning them on manually, but now it's no big deal and I love how adjustable they are. Both systems have great perks :)

Does the fog light stay on when it is in on mode with the light on auto mode or does it only come on when it is necessary?
Hi! If you turn the Fog Light into On it will be synced with the low beam headlights so if they are set to come on automatically the fog light will com eon when they come on. If you manually turn on the low beams and the fog light is selected to on, they will also turn on. There is not a separate auto feature or sensor for fog lights. I hope this helps.
