I watched the wrong video guy to explain rear door height adj he had me doing waay too many steps thru the big menu screen that i couldn't remember

You should have mentioned that when you double touch the PBD button on the hatch back it will close and lock the entire vehicle and the mirrors fold in.

Very useful video! I still have one question. My 2014 Lexus Rx350 has two buttons side by side underneath the lift handle on the rear hatch. When I press the rectangular button located just to the drivers side of center the power lift hatch opens. But...there is as smaller round button just to the passenger side of center. What does this button do???

I have a 2010 Lexus RX350 and my tailgate has us all perplexed. It used to lift up when I touched the sensor pad, but no longer does. It will, however, open remotely from the fob AND the button inside the car. I believe newer models have a lot more control of the operation of the tailgate, so I'm not sure how or if the touchless sensor can be made to work again. All comments more than welcome! Also, LOVE the video.

Thank you. I needed an extra 2 inches of max height on #5 setting. This did the trick. I later found it in the manual on p. 134 for my 2017 Fsport.
So it is possible to make it go past the #5 setting, to make it go even higher?

Thanks. No, I do have the premium package with many luxury features. Honestly, if they'd had one with either the upper trim luxury package or the F-sport, I would have chose either one. However, I'm happy as a clam with the one I have. Thanks, again.

Because of you, I bought a RX 350. My ? is why does my rear door not open when I place my foot under the bumper? I was told by the dealer it would. I checked to ensure all settings are on.

I have a 2012 RX350 with less than 22,000. Its in new condition (factory maintenance schedule followed) and It’s kept in the garage and driven weekly to keep the battery up and to stretch its legs (50 miles around the loop). They are nice suvs, but I like driving the Tundra 1794 better. Lock in 80mph and it’s the smoothest ride I’ve ever been in with exception of the old heavier cars of the 50’s and 60’s. Someday we will sell the Lexus and someone with get an outstanding used car.

Lexus really should include a sensor to prevent the rear hatch or car trunk lid from bumping/crashing into low ceiling heights or low objects when automatically opening.
The RX rear hatch does have a pressure sensor built in so when it starts to meet resistance it will stop opening and close this can be adjusted by your local lexus dealer.
I have a 2007 Rx350 and it does have a sensor, it’s really sensitive though which is pretty annoying
After watching the video I learnt that you can adjust the height to which it opens.

Does the touch free PBD come on all 2020 RX350s or is it an add on? I thought it was standard on the 2020s. My sales dealer nor I could open the PBD touchfree. After numerous attempts he said I didn't order it for my vehicle. I tried using your video but still I couldn't open it handsfree

Thank you so much! It’s an honor to help you!!! You can look at the window sticker if you have access to it. Or you might want to try locking the doors and then press the “lock” button three times and hold it down on the third press. Make sure you do this outside😉. I hope this helps.
On my GS350 when I push and hold the unlock button for a few seconds on the key fob it allows me to open all of the windows and moonroof. Is this feature on the RX350?

Nice. I just purchased a 2005 RX 330 from an auction, because i hate car payment. After my Acura i decided i needed something like this. The only issue is the car is not perfect. I had a used Audi, and a turbo blew in 6 months of me having it. 4500 to fix it??! No, keep the car. car issues...
In the handle area, I sure wish that button feature was available on my 2013 Lexus 350. A little button is there, I can feel it...but it doesn't do anything....... :( Unfortunately the nearest Lexus dealer is 130 miles away and the local Toyota people don't know everything about the Lexus.

Is it normal for none of these functions to work while the car is running? Everything works fine when the car is off, but when it is running in park I cannot open the tailgate and need to shut the car off before I am able to open it

That's the thing with these various Lexus models. On on my 3rd one, but have always been meticulous with the upkeep, too. People always have a nice comment when they see one that is well kept. Good for you guys.

Does this work for the 2014?
Some aspects do work for the 2014 model. The touch-free portion doesn't work for the 2014 model and the settings that can be changed with the steering wheel buttons are not on the 2014. Also, the opening height memorization is not available. I hope this helps and thank you so much for stopping by!

That's not true!!!! You don't have to have the key with u to open it! You only have to do that if the doors are locked. But if it's unlocked u don't have to have the key with u to open it up.

what is the use of button under the rear mirror?
So I guess "hands free" really doesn't mean hands free when opening tail gate. The whole reason for hands free is if you have your hands full (groceries). Using your palm is no easier than just pressing the button. Strange.

Gus Gambatese doesn’t need to be your palm, can be the side of forearm, in cases where your arms are full.
You can hold the side of your forearm over badge if hands are full

can you open the door 1 more time... I think I missed it. ..
One problem I'm having on my 2017 Lexus RX450H that when I remote started, the driver door will not unlock when press to unlock either with the remote or either pressing the unlock from the passenger door. Only way to fix this problem is to unlock the door manually from the inside driver door by manually opening it. I have taken it to the dealer and like always works there but won't work outside the dealership. Does someone know how to fix this problem?
