Ohtani looks like he's having the time of his life. Really happy for him and happy to see players that can enjoy the game.
That's crazy I've never seen a player with this much attention but he deserves it he's incredible
Australian here. Baseball is a really small sport here but one of my friends played for aus in high school so I watched. This guy has single handedly got us and a whole
Young generation following baseball
Havent follwoed Baseball since Griffey in Seattle. First time ive been intrigued and its becaue of Ohtani. Keep it going.
he was smiling through the entire inning 😁
Trout said his secret weapon is his smile.
He seems so happy to just be there! Humble boy..

Pathetic. You're not Japanese, but want to be Japanese, because you're Jealous of them. you can't be Japanese of course, so now you're harassing the Japanese.😒
@qp3 You're embarrassing us Korean everyday! Stop trollong!!
You rock Ohtani
Ohtani is a solid pitcher
He’s more than solid
And a hitting machine
He’s sooo cute.
He’s alright
Statistically, his splitter is the hardest pitch to hit in the entire MLB. That's a bit more than "alright"
I love how Shohei does his wind up. So good for the game of baseball.
He’s the total package (and so good looking too!). Ohtani has it all - a class act!
so happy for him, he deserves the success!
Damn , this is probably the best first inning he pitch this season , he didn't need to conserve energy , so he just went 100 mph right away .
I thought about that as well. He knew that if something happened it wouldn't mess up his stats. He needs to pitch that way.
That's what I like about the All-Star game: Seeing all of the pitchers used and getting their time to shine.

Seriously though, somebody give this guy a break. He's not just carrying a franchise, he's dragging the sport back into the headlines. How many days does he get off after this?
I don’t think he wants any.
He loves the game too much. Remember he came to the league not because of money but to play as a 2-way player. God bless!
2 July 16 vs Seattle
Ohtani is sick but... have you HEARD OF VLADDY?
@@thisjustin352 I can hear all day about Vladdy's fastball velocity. Tell me about it!
I love this guy. Also those uniforms are unreal.
Shohei didn’t have to do the all star game and home run derby. Did it for the fans and for baseball. He loves the game.
Right? He could just easily did what the astros did and decline the invitation but he always wanted to experience the all star game and loves the fans and people.
well said man!!! always a smile on his face and ever gracious and accommodating!!😀
homerun leader of the american league pitching to the homerun leader of the national league.
mind-boggling.
Eleven years have passed since the earthquake, and his smile, born and raised in the disaster area, gives us courage.
Gosh!!!
