I've been watching baseball for 45 years, and Shohei Ohtani is the best.
I feel like I just watched a CAREER highlights video. He did this all in one season. Absolutely insane.
It was fun checking in to see what he was gonna do even as yankees fan
Hope he stays healthy we then would need a monster size popcorn to watch his career highlights after he retires =))

@@norpriest521 real question? If so let me put this in simple terms. So there are players that pitch right? You would call them pitchers they don’t usually hit and if they do they are trash, but there are also players who hit you would call them batters. The special thing about shohei is that he does… BOTH and both really well at that

Dude can hit. Dude can pitch. Dude can steal. One man army. Dude is young and suave and has time on his side. Good role model stays out of trouble. Can wait to see all the records he will set and break.

What I like about Shohei is that he is so humble. He is insanely good (I think the best player in the league) but he isn’t cocky about it.
He needs to go a team that cares about winning (hint hint the Angels aren’t that).
They are completely wasting his career, and they’re on track for their 7th consecutive losing season.
Firing Maddon was a good start as he wasn’t effective but they’re still also in a very hard division especially with Houston eons ahead of them.

Especially right now that he became a national hero, I bet MILLIONS of girls are sliding their dms on his IG. But too bad Ohtani is married to the sport, even the things he buys are helping his body to improve his game (pillow for sleep, and other body apparatus).

Ohtani is the best player we have seen in our lifetime.
Like Babe Ruth, he will be known and talked about for many generations.
The best thing about him is he doesn't showboat or shove his success in his opponents' face--no bat flips or stare downs.
His main goal should still be getting a ring which is very unlikely with the Angels as the team is a dumpster fire and on track for yet another losing season at the bottom (or close to) of the AL West

I have soo much respect for Ohtani for having one of the greatest season in baseball historty, as a person who played college ball myself, to hit a baseball is the hardest thing in all of sports but to pitch at a high level, it's off the charts, Mr.Ohtani I bow to you, Amazing!👏

He picks up trashed from the ground always before getting ready, which he does to clean his heart and spirit, and he pays respect for all the teammates and rivals, even for them umpires. His performance is the result of clean and pure sportsmanship, and hard works of trainings and respectful behaviors.

I am an Angels fan and this comment pisses me off because you're COMPLETELY right. The Angels absolutely must make the playoffs or this year if they want him and Trout to stick around. It may be too late already.
Fuck Arte, fuck Perry, and Fuck Jerry Dipoto because he's still largely responsible for the Angels' shortcomings because the fallout of his negligence is still very much happening even though he left a couple seasons back. Oh and DOUBLE fuck Arte and Brad Ausmus for turning a blind eye and pretending they didn't know what was happening while rampant drug abuse happened in the clubhouse. Their negligence got Tyler Skaggs killed and they both need to be prosecuted. They won't because they threw a trainer under the bus and let him take the fall, but I cannot buy for a fucking moment that they weren't privy to what was going on like they claim...
