I can’t believe she lost everything she worked for with one mistake. I mean she knew the stakes of taking a risk but it’s still sad. Especially for such a complete idiot. And he didn’t even get punished for his actions. Man that sucks
I find it so sad that this whole culture revolving J-Pop as well as K-Pop has this narrative of "The Idol belongs to their fans". These people see Idols just as an object of their entertainment, rather than a human who might also want to have a life outside of their job.
Dating isn't a privilege, it's a right every person old enough to do so should have...

Late, but according to leaks apparently the company was aware they were dating since 2019 but only dismissed her because she got caught. That seems to be the stance on dating this particular company has which is “don’t get caught” if it’s a small enough incident they’ll sweep it under the rug, but they probably felt this one got too big
This is really sad. She was living her life the way she wanted to, but people cancelled her. The industry probably needs some improvements

let's be honest most of Japanese idols fans are neckbeards who don't see idols as people but they see them as their "precious waifus" and that's why a lot of them go into shock like a rabbit getting thrown into water because they've lost grip of reality and don't realise that these girls that they idolize are actual human beings that have their own lives and that they'll never have a chance to be with them

Thank you for the video! I'm still a big fan of her!! I shared your video on her H!P fandom page, I hoped that the guy was at least worth the while, but seeing his reputation made me only feel worse for her.. Worst part is that she has been with the company for so long and was voted the best vocal of the company at the time, even ranking higher than Oda Sakura from Morning Musume. She's always been effortless, her vocals being amazing!! I hate it that she didn't even get a graduation ceremony. You never know, maybe she was planning on graduating. I do believe that some older idols like Takahashi Ai, have been dating behind the scenes and was living with her now husband, but she decided to graduate from the company so she could be open with her relationship. Don't know if that's a fact though, I can't read Japanese yet. Either way due to the pandemic another Juice=Juice member Miyamoto Karin and a member of Angerme as well postponed their graduation, because they wanted to graduate with audience. It's sad that all of that has been taken away from Sayu, she has always been Queen Sayubee and will always be a queen!! Loved the fact that she started out as a biiig Tanaka Reina fan xD We have that much in common!

Juice=Juice losing Sayuki reminded me of Morning Musume losing Fujimoto Miki. I was hoping Sayuki and Yuuri's relationship would end up like Miki's, but if all of this is true, its honestly just infuriating. This is exactly why H!P needs to get rid of the love ban, because this certainly won't be the last dating "scandal". They really slipped up by pulling her out of J=J.

Yukibunns, I have a question (unrelated to the video): When/how often do you need to invert your digital drawings? I know people say it helps to "point out spots that look bad" that you won't normally see but I don't really know when and can't sense when it's a good time to flip the picture.

Not her, but I generally do it the entire time I'm sketching to be sure things look even from both directions. There's also the feeling of "this looks weird, but I can't place why!" that sometimes forms when drawing, and that's usually a good time to give the piece a flip to see how it looks.
Side advice: Never work on a piece (or even set of pieces) for longer than 6 hours at a time. Eye strain and wear is a real thing and can make you miss or even make mistakes while working on your art.
I'd say whenever you think something looks off but your not sure what you should flip it, but don't flip it too often or else you're eyes will adjust to both sides and you'll miss mistakes no matter what

And, correct me if I’m wrong, Japan should have (or has) a normal singer/ pop star industry that should be a prevalent option. Or like i said, they either dont know theyre getting into or they go into it really young. I am aware that in the end it is their fault. This really shouldn't be a thing. These are human beings with real feelings. I've seen many idols even say that how they act is staged anyways and is
not their real selves. (Mano Erina being one that comes to mine saying "Most of what I said was scripted.") But they must uphold that "Innocent" persona at all times.
People over there have these picture of idol girls/woman as holy, pure untouched wonders and the moment they stray the path, it's all over.

Actually, if both companies knew this is crap. Her company’s job is protect her position in the group because it keeps fans at their feet. So it would’ve have been in their best interest to make sure NO ONE saw her traveling to his place, or being seen together, or warning with maybe some proof he’s a scoundrel and seeing 5 women. That is what management staff is for. I could go on about situations with kpop artists but if you are here for this you probably know about that scene as well.

If I had to choose between becoming a _K-pop idol_ or a _J-pop idol,_ I would choose K-pop idol hands down. Not just because I'm a lot more familiar with K-pop, it's just not as horrendously strict as being a J-pop idol is. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
