Anyways, I welcome you buns to a video on the notorious Yanderedev, who has been kind of not the best dude online. Somehow people still don't know what kind of guy this is, so today I am talking yandev- where the game originates from, and where it all went wrong.

It's actually a stolen art in deviantart from a random person and he just changed the colours of it the artist did not make the art for him
the art was in no way related to yandev or anything. HE TOOK IT AND RECOLORED IT
the community found her instagram a while ago and she's just a normal person living her life. idk if she's still drawing or not. if I recall correctly, she lost interest in art and does clay sculpting?? or smth?? idk.

He got the idea for FNAF *because* of criticism. Someone told him his characters in a game he had released prior looked stiff, and unnerving, specifically like creepy animatronics. Instead of crying about it, Scott went “Hey, I can do something with this!” and went on to create one of the most popular game franchises out there. Moral of the story, take criticism!
just saying this, the art by the child that yandere dev mocked was in no way fanart. it was not related to the game at all.
Also, the child got absolutely crushed by YandereDev and stayed inside a shell for a long time. Luckily, they're getting out. God,, YandereDev is a dick. :(

Not to mention most of his characters are underage and there’s 2 adult rivals. I don’t care what this man says, schools have grade levels so it’s impossible for everyone in a high school to be 18 years old. Let’s consider Taro’s younger sister too, it makes no sense to have his sister be younger but still 18 because that’s just not how it works. There’s no excuse for them all being 18 other than yanderedev not wanting to admit he’s lewding minors

earthwurmz don’t forget that Yandere Dev doesn’t have a big team. It’s just him for the most part. It’ll take time, and we need to try to be patient regardless if we really do like the game

Even before people started turning on him, if you watch his twitch streams pre-2016 and how he interacts with people, you'll notice his issues straight away. One time someone in chat mentioned a glitch, and then he was just like, "WHERE? WHERE? I don't see it! WHERE? Oh, you were mistaken? F*cking idiot." I was just like, uhhh what?

YandereDev actually got a partnership with a company to help speed along development for Yandere Simulator...
He lost this partnership because he wasn't 100% in control and he couldn't fathom taking a break from updates to optimize the code. Not to mention the fact he threw a fit when the person/team they had porting the games code into C-sharp did the coding better than he did, and he didn't want to learn a faster more efficient way to code.
He lost a partnership which could've lead to Yandere Sim being close to if not actually finished by now because someone else coded better than he did and he didn't want to improve.
Its obvious he's milking Yandere Sim for everything its worth to keep the money rolling at this point.
Oh dang I thought it was just cuz the company couldn’t change the efficiency of the code because of how it was fundamentally structured. I guess I shoulda known that there was a little yandere dev charm sprinkled in there too.
And after that he refused to give them 31.000 they spend on him.

Yandere Dev clearly has an issue with the idea that he needs to add everything to his game before he can finish anything. And is in denial that maybe he needs to start again due to the 6 years. He just needs to rewrite 6 years of else and if statements to variables that rely on sequences and events that will run that code when necessary, and then to finish the first rival that has been in the game since day 1 and has only stood under the tree in the front of the school. If he would hire some developers with the $360,000 he has made for the last 6 years then he would have his demo out and he can proceed to move it into a Beta stage and release it to the public. Most developers that volunteer would take a rate of $15 an hour, meaning as long as Yandere Dev is honest and cleans up his reputation he would have the support and therefore money to continue the development of the game, and plus he needs to pay $100 to steam if he wishes to have it sold on the platform. So he needs to grow up, take responsibility, contemplate his next steps and get back to focusing on what he originally intended.

I also feel like he’s too stuck on details. Creatives need to know when they should skip on working on small stuff to continue working on the bigger picture.
For instance, Osana is the tutorial/demo but is given an unnecessary ultimate body guard to make her harder, and he didn’t even start her until all kill methods were available. Like what’s the point of that, when we just want the win state down to get started on the actual game.
90% of his support money is for hiring moderaters for his YT, Reddit and Discord.

i really like the game- the concept, the missions, the characters- theyre cute and nicely done- i just wish the developer was a better person
I wish the developer could actually decently code... I think he has a lot of good ideas and concepts for the game, but is unable to do to his shite coding skills and MASSIVE ego...
I think we all do. I've been dying to give Yandere Simulator a chance, but I'm not going to until YandereDev decides that he's going to focus on fixing this broken ass game.

edit: i saw yandevs video, osana is getting released today (August 31)... even if she does get released i'm still not gonna consider playing the game, Yandere dev has to admit that his coding isn't good, and that he should rewrite most things.
Also probably half of the stuff in game isnt even legally Yandere dev's, yet he still complains about the game *Love Letter: My true feelings* having the same model as Yandere Simulator.....
His excuse is "they're just placeholders", but the first rival is being released and theres still no new models.
If there are going to be new models then the animations have to be re-made to work with the new models, unless they can make/find a model with the same body proportions... which is unlikely.

I used to really like this game, but that was years ago. I think he’s definitely got some problems, and the game will most likely never be finished. Kind of sucks, but I think just about anyone can recreate this game in less time than Yandev.
actually, you can't recreate the game in less time than yandev. Dr. Aepis was fully called out on it plus other people had scrutinized what he showed in his videos-which isn't a lot, someone else pointed out it looks like he was just using a mod to modify the school, plus his original yansim knockoff, Heartbreak, which he had been working on LONG before Love Letter.

You can expect Yandere Simulator to be done by 2141. By then, Yandere Dev might be a head in a jar with a robotic clamp to grab things with.

My sides hurt... My sides hurt SO much from laughing at Yandev's self entitlement. His grudge toward this one person who told him they wasn't interested in working with him had spiraled into him lashing out at anyone who tries to outshine him.
This is similar to how good people in movies, books, and videogames (funny...) turned evil. Their desire for greatness slowly corroded them into a person that they probably said they would never become.
If I was to put his motives into some terms, they would fall in line of Power, Achievement, Stimulation, and Self-Direction. He wants to be the only one who creates 3D simulation games involving yanderes, putting himself on a pedestal so others (mainly the person who said they wouldn't work with him) can see how amazing he is. Yandev display the same traits that the That Guy in Dungeons and Dragons. There ARE people who can do things a little bit more efficiently than him, but NO... HE have to be the ONLY person to do. Yet he whines and complains about all his fans contacting him, blaming them for slowing development down.
I know this might sound ridiculous of me to DnD alignment to this situation, but I see him as a Chaotic Neutral (or Neutral Evil with a tendency to be Chaotic) person. This conclusion was drawn from his motives I just mention. I just hope that he would look at himself and wonder if his loved ones would approve of his behavior.

Exactly. In fact, almost all major games that I know of have MANY MANY MANY people that helped create the game. Honestly, hearing a game was made by one person only signals to me 2 things. One, either it’s a low-quality game, (NOT SAYING THE DEV IS BAD ALWAYS) or they’re horribly lying. Both are bad. Having many people to work together on a game in my opinion is what allows it to be a good game.

Yep, the kids in Yandere sim were high school aged( their uniforms suggest middle school) around 15 or 16, until someone pointed out how creepy it was to have panty shots of students be the currency.... then he said they were in college, but it’s been akidemi HIGH since the start of the game and college students don’t wear uniforms

I love listening to these/occasionally glancing at the amazing artwork while I’m drawing. I also learn visually, (meaning when I see someone doing something, I usually know how to do it myself I guess?) so this also improved my art style and my anime drawings significantly, too! Thanks!

i wish the game would get a new developer, its a fun game but it would never get finished because it has a toxic, stubborn and lazy dev who doesnt understand programming and has a huge ego.
he does realize, the longer stalling he does on this game, the more the "hype" is gonna die down-
amazing game concept that genuinely attracted so much talented people!
a lot of cool fan content is out there and i used to consume it like a fiend, but now knowing how bad yandev sucks just totally tainted it :(
