a woman was literally crying on the BBC in the UK around Christmas because government guidelines meant she couldn't see her family and she has terminal cancer so she was terrified that she would never see them again...yet these celebrities have the entitlement to wreck all sorts of havcoc...its disgusting
Guidelines don't say that people can't meet up under any circumstances. That's only if you're so afraid and can't leave the house. You can still meet up every once in a while with friends or family as long as it's not too many people, you can still go on walks and exercise. The woman with cancer crying because she can't see her family is sad, maybe it's different where she lives but she can still go see family, I think maybe it's also fear that she'll contract covid. These influencers are doing too much but she can still meet family and be safe at the same time.
@@Prince_the_One Maybe her family was outside the UK and closed borders meant she literally wasn't allowed to see them. (for reference, I didn't watch her segment. I'm just giving a benefit of the doubt perspective)
The audacity of Kylie and Kendall Jenner disabling their Instagram comments because they can’t handle valid criticism over their lack of basic human decency. They think it’s bullying and that they’re victims lmao. They’re killing people
Also Rita Ora was lying about the fact that she got tested when she arrived at Egypt. They don't do that here, they only check your temperature at Cairo Airport. Also in Egypt a small number of people are following the rules and wearing a mask properly so everyone basically has/had covid (like seriously we are giving the USA a run for their money) so I wouldn't be surprised if she actually caught covid and kept it a secret since people called her out.
Lol I remember her basically giving that same response in the midst of an embarassingly long screed when the whole Kimye-Taylor feud was brought back through no fault of Taylor Swift's, and yet Kim's been throwing parties while Taylor has only been dropping music and taking walks with her boyfriend.
I am tired of people idolizing Kim K and her clan... they are NOT ICONIC, they are not people to look up to 😒 neither entertainment because that's how they enter in your brain
rewatching this video in 2023, and dude. this is genuinely a master piece. the section where D'Angelo puts the videos of covid-19 affected people next to influencers/celebrities having parties is genuinely CHILLING. 10/10 D'Angelo. This is a fucking masterpiece.
@@JadeReloaded i read that in finland speeding tickets are tied to income. Years ago it was on the news that a rich man got a 50,000 euro fine for speeding
remember when almost all of these influencers were preaching “stay home” at the beginning of the pandemic for the sake of looking good? sick of it and sick of them! thank you for making this D’Angelo
Everyone was saying stay home of course. It’s a damn year later and they still expect us to stay cooped up in her homes? And don’t guilt trip me because I lost 3 family members who never left the house and only died due to misuse of the hospital ventilators.
@@SJP43 the whole reason we have to stay cooped up is bc of dumbasses like the people in the video. that’s why its so frustrating, because if those people would’ve just STAYED HOME things would not be this bad rn. also, no ones preventing you from going out as long as you have a mask + properly social distance. dont act like somebody’s forcing you to stay home, people are just forcing you to keep others safe.
my grandma died of covid last year, she was also my piano teacher, she died a month before my exam. She practically raised me and gave me my entire musical education. The worst part is i always fought w her because i didn't want to learn piano. Her death hit me hard and i now practice piano every day for her. She was a big [art of my life and hopefully ill make her proud one day. stay safe everyone
@kiw1 that's a beautiful skill and art that you're continuing in her honor✨ I'm sorry for all the grief and sadness you're going through, hope you can find peace and healing!
My husband is dead from Covid-19. He died on Christmas. My children no longer have a father. My mother in law lost her only son. We were extremely careful and I am still careful, keeping my kids at home and only going out for necessities. I HATE every person who flouts the guidelines or refuses to wear a mask. I want them to feel the grief and rage and helplessness that I do. I want them to be afraid of losing their home and worry about how the bills are going to get paid. I don't know how we can make them stop unless they are heavily fined or criminally prosecuted.
@@serbaneva4737 Yes! If a fine can effect whether we can pay our rent or car this month it should have the same effect for people with wealth. If the reason to fine people is to encourage them to not do that again hit them as hard as they hit us normal people or it wont mean anything to them.
Some countries base their fines upon income (speeding tickets cost mor for the wealthy). It makes sense if it is meant to punish and deter certain behaviors, then it needs to be at the level that appropriately gets an individual’s attention and should adjust accordingly.
I feel like people don't understand: we're not mad at them because they're rich. We're mad because they have the funds and resources to stay safe and they choose not to. Meanwhile, people who don't have jobs and can't have funerals are putting in all possible effort to keep others safe. It's pretty basic capitalism at its finest.
I’m mad because I have to be terrified everyday of my mother catching the virus and dying. I’m mad because I know if she does we won’t have enough funds to handle medical bills. I’m mad because people aren’t helping just nip this in the bud. I’m mad that people are incapable of not thinking of others before themselves for a few fucking weeks. I’m pissed that every night if I start thinking about what might happen. If cough for a moment I’m terrified because I know my mother wouldn’t be able to live through it. Im mad that they choose fun. I’m scared, and I’m pissed. And I started tearing up while writing this I’m sorry if this sounded harsh. I don’t want to be mad at people for “living their lives” but it hurts so much to see this blatant... carelessness I guess. Anyway I hope you all are doing alright in these times ❤️ much love
I love watching rich people go and party while having watched my grandma almost die of covid she caught from working at the hospitals. I love seeing it after I’ve watched the nurses in my family come home crying because they held a patients hand as they took their last breathe because of covid. It’s so sexy of them
It’s heartbreaking, so sorry for your loss . I’ve lost my mom last December nd the worst part is I couldn’t see her for the final time b4 parting ways forever….. Dis so called influencers nd celebrities r nothing but worthless pieces of garbage .
@@Alicia-kp8bg at the time 57, so she had to work because that’s far too young to retire. they don’t give a damn about healthcare worker’s health, as evident by the fact that positive healthcare workers still have to go to work
While they party, my mom works 70+ hrs a week as a nurse and she’s absolutely terrified of catching the virus. She’s over 60. And the amount of people coming in sick keep on rising. I just don’t want my mom to die...
Hi! I’m a new RUclipsr and was hoping I could have a little support! I started about 2 years ago and have already grown a successful amount! I do lots of cool vids and love and notice every single subscriber, thank you!!!!
Can you explain what that means? I am not a native english speaker and even though I suspect the meaning, I would like to understand fully. Thank you and be safe everybody!
And here we are 3 years later and over a million people died from COVID in the US alone. I hope these influencers so very proud of themselves and how they contributed to those deaths. I had COVID pneumonia a year ago and it was the worst thing I’ve ever been through. I barely made it was in the ICU for a week and wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’ll never pay off that hospital bill. I hope they’re so happy with themselves.
Jesus. I'm sorry that you had that experience :/ I'm lucky enough that my covid experiences were mild, though it did make my OCD spiral and prolong a traumatic legal proceeding. I hope you're doing a little better now. The American health care system sucks.
Its so frustrating that people with 0 talent have so much popularity, I honestly wish Trump had taken down the app, would have been 1 good thing for him to do lol
As someone who recently blew up on tiktok , I can back this up. There are literally SO many children who support me which is why I need to be careful, because a lot of them tend to defend me because they "think I'm cool". For other tiktok stars who are FAR more famous than me to ignore that is dumb. If I can acknowledge that when I only have 5,000 followers, then those with MILLIONS of followers should be able to do this too
"I don't think people realize how jarring it is to see person after person value their temporary comfort over your personal safety." Yeah every essential worker is basically traumatized from this exact thing right now.
"but no we don't give a shit because we're rich and could probably pay for the entire vaccines making industry and still be multi millionaires but instead we're gonna make shitty content that no one over twelve watches so we make money at the expense of the public health and safety"
not just essential workers... I've lived my entire life with a life-threatening chronic illness.. and I've never been "accommodated" by the mass public to ensure my safety. TBH, with Covid, I've actually felt safer in certain situations than I have before because masks are mandated in most public areas. It baffles me that some people truly believe they can "sit out" of this GLOBAL pandemic. Please y'all, stay home and stay safe
@@sigh_oh_bin not even just the public, but family as well. it has hurt so much to see people that I live with act like everything is normal when I have multiple autoimmune issues and with live with my grandmother. and not to speak negatively to the vast majority of essential workers who I know are doing their part and make incredible sacrifices, but I've seen at least 5 healthcare workers do outrageous things like go on vacation, go to parties, etc all under the false safety that they've been vaccinated (which burns me because I still can't receive one despite being severely immunocomprimised). I just recently saw a girl make a "witty" instagram caption on vacation in florida about how hard her antibodies are working. We're all from NY, where nearly a year ago our hospitals were the most overwhelmed in the country at the time. it's just insane to me how some people act, even the ones who have been directly affected by it.
I struggled with serving customers and having to listen to how tough working from home/furlough/retirement is, meanwhile I have to bite my tongue as they keep getting closer and touching things and wearing their masks wrong or not having great hand hygiene. It sound small but it makes everything at work so stressful, and yet the mantra is "at least they're paying us, at least I still have a job". The worst is when customers openly tell you they're on holiday. During a third lockdown. FFS.
Doctor Mike wasn't just the poster boy, he was literally yelling and half crying at people for spreading misinformation about Covid and D.O.'s. He's terrible. Even smiling during his apology.
@@TheRizagirl yikes he was trying to spread misinformation about them? Smh they’re still doctors. Probably WAY better doctors than he is. EDIT: Oops! Found out he is a D.O. himself and he was just trying to defend them. But he sucks for being a hypocrite and going out to parties during a pandemic.
I hate that "betrayed" feeling I get when I think about what Dr Mike did. I liked his content and I trusted them. So now I just feel like a fucking moron.
Watching this 9 months later. Things are much different now and it just goes to show how shortterm the memory of the collective is. Everyone is acting like everything is back to normal and we'll complete forget that millions of people died in 2 yrs from a virus that was initially preventable.
you're not wrong, i've known of multiple people that, despite their progressive views, have shown up to university events after being exposed to covid and spreading it around. it's so stupid and frustrating. people have already forgotten
I cringe when I think of the way I behaved at 20. Many studies show that the brain doesn't fully mature until 25. This is not to excuse the behaviour in this video but just as a blanket statement, a 20 year old is generally not yet a fully functioning mature adult capable of making fantastic decisions.
you know the “popular” group in high school who are all literally popular for being stereotypically attractive but have literally no life skills or personality ? yeah, everyone made that group famous on tiktok literally for the exact same reasons, causing their egos to sky rocket. now these adults are receiving positive reinforcement from millions of people for being involved in the same petty high school drama
this is putting it perfectly. the fact that they are being so raised up for being horrible, inconsiderate people is also normalising it for so many others who "follow" them. influencers are just the personification of what many people dream to be and have, yet they have nothing of real value like oh i dont know, empathy for the millions dying?
Influencer: "I needed a vacation because being an influencer is stressful." I'm sorry, what. What do you think the rest of us are feeling? I lost my f***ing business... there are people who have starving children because of the pandemic. And yet YOU deserve the vacation above others...
ikr that shit infuriates me, I've been unemployed for a year, the state didn't have enough money to give people unemployment so I never saw a dime, I can't even get a job as a dishwasher, I lost my insurance, I can't afford my own medications, I'm going to have to move back in with my abusive parents, and these fuckers are like "oh woe is me I do stupid things online and people mock me for it. hur de dur imma take a vacation to bali to cleanse my chakras" fuck these people

Watching this nearly three years later is surreal. In the past few years, I lost an aunt and two cousins to Covid-19, and I couldn't attend funerals because of safety protocols. Everything is basically back to “normal” now, but just two weeks ago, AP reported that even mild Covid 19 infections are causing irreparable damage to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems that can go undetected until it’s too late. That makes what these influencers did during a time when there was little information about the disease, no vaccine, and no other form of treatment for symptoms even more egregious. Their careless disregard for the people around them is going to have a lasting impact that they don't realize. I hope the parties were worth it.
Facts and half of their mansions are actually rentals too LMAO and they have to have like 10+ other “influencers” living with them to even afford it so they really need to humble themselves and stay tf inside
Me too and I feel like charlie was set up a little didn't the parents and Dixie know that they would have fans at the Bahamas and then because they decided travel not only did they put peoples lives in danger when people found out the hole comment section of Charlie's and Madi's video was hate and they were getting the most backlash like the parent's just caused Charlie all that hate and now she is getting a ton of backlash and people are even saying she looks bored and stuff because of them going to the Bahamas
Too common of a mindset. "Your RUclips apology wouldn't have happened on its own because of your guilty conscience" and frankly we owe the next generation better than what we were left, and this ain't it chief. We're failing like the boomers failed us. Truth hurts.
I lost my partner to COVID. We were in a long distance relationship. That means that I couldn't go to the hospital to be with him or be at his funeral. These people who treat COVID like it's nothing disgust me. My partner was healthy and not in the age category where he would have been considered "at risk". He just had a lot of bad luck. Rest in peace Andrew I miss you so much. You will always be a part of me.
Its so gross to hear these tik tok idiots say “in this business we need time off and vacations” while us healthcare workers have been working day in and out short staffed to try and save people’s lives. It’s disgusting
my mums doing uni work at the same time as her placement work in a hospital and shes handling it as best she can meanwhile tiktokers apparently need breaks to go to the bahamas every other day
my grandfather died from covid. i wasn't even able to attend his FUNERAL because we lived in different countries. seeing these people party, go out without masks, while i can't even attend a loved ones funeral, is a huge fuck you right in my face.
“Everyone who woke up and choose their *temporary comfort* over the safety and LIFE of everyone around them... is disgusting.” Yes yes yes. This is truth.
Pretentious bluster from a ... RUclips celebrity. The guy who produced this video IS the problem. It's his class of self indulged nobodies that have too much power over society.
Funny how Kendal Jenner says she doesn't understand why people would criticize her for having a party when everyone around her is "tested constantly" when most people couldn't get tested even if they're exposed. Tone def is an understatement.
Right? Or hearing how they’re doing 30 minutes results for them but us regular have to wait up to 2 weeks for results to be able to go back to work. I had to take 5 days off and it was unpaid just to know I wasn’t exposed. Soooo tone def
“we’re getting tested everyday”, is not an excuse!! Standard testing isn’t 100% accurate, let alone rapid tests. Even if it was accurate, one could have been exposed without knowing and be a carrier for several days before testing positive or showing symptoms. It’s just so stupid, taking all these precautions for what??Are they waiting to get Covid or something? I saw this model on Instagram who had the privilege of knowing she had been exposed and therefore went into quarantine, but didn’t see Covid symptoms until day 12!!! Unfortunately she had been ignorant thinking that masks and regularly testing was enough. Even James Charles caught a cold (which is contagious) around Christmas time. Like babe... I’m glad it wasn’t worse than that but you obviously haven’t been careful enough. No one could ever be. That’s why social distancing is the best you can do. It’s honestly mind-blowing that so many people still don’t understand how illness is spread especially after we’ve entered a pandemic.
I know this vid’s old, but it still hits. I lost my dad during the pandemic, and a year later, I’m still numb with grief. I’m not angry. But I am ashamed to admit that I wish every person who broke government guidelines needlessly, feels the same grief millions across the globe where forced to feel when selfish people made selfish choices beyond anyone else’s control. You deserve you livelihood taken, you deserve to live on the level we all do
“Celebrities are getting their worst fears confirmed. Which is that they’re not special they’re just rich. Celebrities are no longer above the law. Which means nothing because they have enough money to where breaking the law is not illegal it’s just inconvenient.” I’m so sick of rich people being reckless and endangering others that are just trying to survive...
Being rich has nothing to do with compassion. The money you have is separate from the fact that you lack compassion. This issue starts with the parenting and upbringing. Kids so what they see
@@cryingeyebrows2773 They should give a fine as a percentage of income, so the richer you are the bigger the fine. Even then it'd still not be fair to the working class but it would be a step in the right direction
My son was born a week before lockdown, he hasn’t met any family. We can’t afford insurance since work has been cut back, and my husband works at a hospital. My entire family and all my friends live on another continent. My daughter has not been able to play with her friends for a year. We live in an area where no one takes the virus seriously and we get laughed at for wearing masks and staying home. My mental health is plummeting. I’m 8 minutes into this video and I want to cry. These people are literal trash.
I can't even buy toilet paper without people trying to stand next to me, I asked nicely if they would move back, they completely ignore d me and I left in tears. I already have multiple health problems, and I just want them to act kind.
k so this one took me a while to get through in it's entirety simply because it cuts so deep. When my mother was dying of non-covid related illnesses, my father and I were not allowed to go in to see her together in the hospital. At one point she was inside a room, and we had to talk to her from outside her window, like she was a prisoner. When she was in ICU, we couldn't see her at all. When she was on her last moments, they would only let one of us in per day. Luckily, she hung on long enough for both I and my father, along with one aunt of mine, to see her before she passed. And the idea that these people are willing to put an already strained health system in even MORE risk because they had to go to PARTY felt like a literal stab to my gut. If you are at a party (THAT ALL LOOK SO UNFUN BTW) during a pandemic, I will assume that you are the basest version of human disregard and that my mom's life, specifically, didn't matter to you. So if you catch these hands, I cannot be held accountable.
i'm a subscriber of yours and i've watched the video you've uploaded the day you posted it and couldn't help but cry with you, and seeing how someone could enjoy their party knowing this could kill those who are at his party or their loved ones and still wouldn't give a single fu*k, we should be worried about those ppl not covid cuz these heartless ppl have no cure
As a nurse who has literally held a covid patients hand as they died- with no family around- this video meant a lot. I’ve taken care of people’s loved ones, young and old, who have been critically ill with this disease. It’s hard to see people be this selfish!
If anyone actually deserves a trip to the Bahamas because of the stress covid has caused them, it's health workers like you. You know... The people who are actually dealing with traumatising and heartbreaking shit 😔
I work in outpatient Primary Care and our practice has lost upwards of 20 patients to covid not to mention the dozens more who caught it and are suffering complications. My practice serves a majority older Latinx population. These people don’t have the option to work from home to keep themselves and their families safe let alone get faulty rapid testing so they can party or fly to a private island. It infuriates me to see people be so callous and wildly irresponsible.
I work in the ER. The “emergency room”. People try to enter without a mask. Regular. Citizens. The amount of screaming that I hear in the hospital, telling individuals “My condolences”, telling coworkers that they have to go home if their temperature is 100 degrees or higher. It is an ongoing list. All whilst taking pills everyday for my own mental illnesses. I thank you for making this video presentation. I send blessings to you and your family.
bless you and everything you're doing and dealing with on a daily basis. i really wish everyone had d'angelo's sense, or maybe just basic human decency.
I hate when Charli's fans say "she is just a teenager leave her alone" like is that hard to understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic? Even my eight year brother is aware of the situation lol
My heart breaks when I think of the children I babysat before the pandemic (4-8 years old). I hope your little brother is coping well, my heart goes out to you guys ❤️
Well she obviously understood that this is a problem, he even shows a clip that she knows. I’m not a fan (barely know who she is tbh) but she’s while old enough to understand, she can’t control what her parents do/where they take her. She can’t be held accountable for their choices.
Noah Beck really said that the “bussiness” that he’s in is so tiring that he needed a vacation meanwhile my father who is doctor and works 12h everyday hasn’t taken a day off in months... ok my guy
Mine is too and hes putting himself at risk to potentially safe other people. I really cannot stand people acting as if this virs isnt deadly and doesnt have to power to take away people who i love and need
Rewatching this in summer ‘23 and wow…. it cuts deep to know how flippant influencers were back then and how literally nothing has changed. Wild. 10/10 video, man. Glad to see you back at it with banger after fuckin banger.
This pandemic is exposing how empty these peoples lives really, truly are. They cannot be alone for more than a second with themselves before hosting a party or some dumb get together. Tragic
Right?! I noticed this too because they can never be satisfied with anything simple, it always has to be some sort of spectacle so they have *something* to share on media.
I am so grateful every day for getting myself out of this lifestyle ... realizing years ago I would have been chugging four lokos at my friends houses instead of isolating and working on my mental health. It’s been rough on me for sure but I’m so proud of myself... fuck these self entitled people.. period.
Exactly, they complain that “the pandemic has been so hard for my mental health” “i need to disconnect” but the ONLY thing they do is travel and post on social media. Bunch of clowns. They will keep on pulling this sht until something bad happens to them or their loved ones. I have been almost a year in quarantine, I live alone and I suffer from depression. It’s been so freaking hard but I will never take that as an excuse to endanger others’ lives. F that.
when bryce hall said ariana grande calling him out was "unnecessary" all i could think of was 'oh like your party?', gonna have to do better than that if you wanna play the victim hun
Covid feels like a fever dream man. I cannot believe I have lived through everything in this video, and that so many people sadly had to fall because of this. I’m so glad you made this video even all these years later. My condolences go to everyone deeply affected by the virus.
I think a lot of them especially tiktoks "queens" 🙄 like charli and dixie and addison.. Have some "paid for followers" to reach such high numbers as well
Thing is we can change the millions of followers part of that ... the talent part not so much The only way they’ll care is if it impacts them financially common knowledge sponsorship is based of followers and engagement so unfollowing = wage cut
The worst part is they will see this, ignore it and carry on. There is this new wave where those influencers don’t apologise anymore and just pretend they don’t see what’s wrong
The problem is their child fanbases who can’t understand why they’re so awful and the platforms that host them refusing to de platform them for such awful things
You are so right! I had completely forgotten Dr. Mike did that. Well I was on a ventilator for 10 days last year so there’s lots of things I have forgotten but still. We do a bad job remembering many things like this.
My aunt had lung cancer, but it was atill in the treatable phase. The chemo was strarting to work. And then covid-19 killed her, because some of the people around her weren't taking covid-19 seriously.... And now I can never talk to her again, or see her again
My best friend, 8 years post a very successful lung transplant and everything was looking good, we thought she was in the clear. And then COVID killed her. She was in her mid twenties. She'd beaten so much impossible shit already. And people have the audacity to tell me it's a hoax.
@@crazycatlover1885 my grandparents also got covid and i literally cried during the outro cause that really messed me up its really hard... i still dont know if they would be able to fight any other disease in the future cause of this :(
Man. When he said both of his grandparents got covid I couldn't hold back tears. Unfortunately both of my grandparents couldn't fight the virus and passed away. I'm glad D'angelo's are okay
get mad. the divide between the exorbitantly rich and the working class has become a chasm. What separates the everyday person from these influencers is no longer just wealth and a luxurious lifestyle, it has become the ability to survive. they're watching us risk our lives to try to eat and pay rent while they sip cocktails on yachts. and they don't even have the restraint to not post it on social media.
It's been interesting watching in real time the increasing number of people going from "These rich people are so quirky and glamorous!" to "eat the rich" in the span of a year Which is probably the only good thing that will come of this mess.
I’m so sick of the classic “I’m a human” bs excuse. They were 100% aware of their impact and the danger but just DON’T care. I’d rather them come out with a 15 second video simply saying “I’m selfish and don’t care” instead of a 20 minute video of them crying and saying they “make mistakes”. I’d have more respect for them if they’d come out that way. I hope one day society as a whole can move past the need for “influencers”.
EXACTLY. yes, you’re human - but that isn’t an excuse to put actual literal lives in danger, because you just can’t imagine anything beyond yourself. everyone else watching is human too, but they don’t go around doing the things “influencers” do, now do they? mistakes exist and it’s good to learn from them but sometimes it’s just so blatantly obvious that they genuinely don’t care.
If you’re “human”, you would have logic and rationale, and if you had that, then you wouldn’t break guidelines and endanger human lives. They deserve 100% of the consequences because they knew exactly what they were doing and they can’t be excused for that...
I find the "i’m a human" excuse kind of weird. Humans are theoretically capable of logic and following basic guidelines. I should know, I’m one of them.
"im only human... i only cant restrain myself in my million dollar house and lifestyle... i cant just live off exotic caviar and champagne I nEEd human contact with specifically 200 other celebrities" I'm only human too, the friends and family I havent seen in a year is only human. We're all only human. Yet somehow, I and a good majority of the population has found it in us to sacrifice our sanity.
Rewatching in 2024 and it hits damn near the exact same. The extreme contrast between the empty apologies and the people crying ok live tv in front of millions cuts so deep. D'Angelo always gets the point across so directly it's impossible to miss
I’ve lost respect for everyone who isn’t taking this thing seriously, especially the people in this video, but not limited to them. I lost my aunt and we couldn’t have a funeral for her. My grandma is likely going to be dying soon, she’s in the throes of dementia, and I won’t be able to see her before she passes, we probably won’t be able to have a funeral. It just breaks my heart. To party so carelessly, to be so nonchalant about covid, it feels like a slap in the face to those of us who are losing our loved ones.
I’m sorry🥺 my grandma has dementia too and is in an assistant living home 8 hours away and there’s no telling how much time she might have left. We haven’t been able to visit her since and we’re all she looks forward too as she is very depressed. She’s not even allowed to leave her room and socialize anymore because of Covid. And now my Aunt might have Covid and she’s in her 70’s and smokes so it could end really badly. I just want this to be over and I’m disgusted at the ignorance of these “influencers” and the money hungry brands who continue to sponsor them.
i know :( my grandma died cause of something else and. couldn’t even visit her in the hospital! cause of covid and i didn’t so when i see influencers partying i get mad!
Thank you all so much for your kind words. I’m so sorry for those of you who can relate to me. I don’t wish this on my worst enemy definitely not you kind people. 🥺♥️♥️
I'm so sorry for your loss 😔 I never respected such tiktokers. They don't deserve fame. They get praised for the bare minimum and still fail to do that
My ex-friend was sick. She didn't tell me she was and still came to see me. We all caught Covid because of her. My mum even had to be hospitalised. She didn't even care that my 7 month old daughter could have caught it and died. I have been protecting myself all this time and when I let my guard down my own friend betrays me. I was even told by her that safety measures were being taken at work and that she had nothing. If your own closed ones don't care about your health, cut them off for good. They don't deserve you. PS: I had to let this off my chest since no one else knows but my family and if I tell any of my friends they might tell her. I'm still hurt. Thanks for reading.
I know how you feel. My mom and sister went down to Texas which is a hot spot for cases too. All to see my sister get engaged. I went through A LOT of shit being called mean things because i absolutely refused to go and wasn’t SHIT gonna change my mind. And i BEGGED AND PLEADED for my mom to not go bc it was so damn STUPID to. My third sister did what she needed to do keeping herself distant and kept me updated about everything (her own volition) behind my mom’s back. So they go down, MY SECOND SISTER (the one who is getting engaged) IS THROWING A FUCKING PARTY BC ITS HER BIRTHDAY. And her not knowing about the engagement beforehand HER BF INVITED A WHOLE SLEW OF PEOPLE. Lo and behold i get a text from my third sister (who travelled there saying 1) no one wore masks except her and 2) my mom did NOT keep herself distanced AND 3) SOMEONE HAD COVID and told NO ONE. THEN later my third sister messages me that mom didn’t want me to know. OH. WOW SO...... YOU WOULD HAVE PREFERRED ME CATCH COVID BEFORE I KNEW. WOW. You PREFERRED me who has a shitty immune system and AND ELDERLY WOMAN, YOUR MOM, get sick with covid before we find out about the sick person there. Needless to say i was LIVID. To the point where i literally MADE myself sick from stress. I broke out in a severe rash that took FOREVER to go away. HOW and WHY would my mom have done this i have no fucking clue... TO SAVE FACE BECAUSE I WAS RIGHT? Like how fucking STUPID could you be... AND THEN when she gets home she’s breaking the distance between her and i and not wearing a mask so yes if she got infected i had already caught it. But we got lucky. She came out negative. No one got sick. No one i know of at least....
@@KawaiiHittchan3 It ain't right man, there's something seriously wrong with how much people are just trying to blank it out like it doesn't exist, it makes me feel like suffering and death is the only way people ever learned, and those numbers just aren't high enough or close to home enough to matter, pfft, some people even deny Covid after their kids die from it, some people deny it whilst they're dying from it.

She may not have known, but I understand your frustration. I worked at Target during the holidays. Although I was really safe and followed all guidelines, I still caught COVID without knowing. I gave it to my mom and grandma because I live with them and didn’t know I had it. Luckily, we are all okay and I wish you the best.
Since covid has started my mom has been at those protests with 300 plus people, sometimes less, but because I am immunocompromised I had to pretty much stop my relationship with my mother. I am surprised and disgusted by how little some people can care about other people and are just about themselves.
I feel like everyone should go on a “influencer-19” strike and stop watching their content and unfollow them because they are after all profiting off the people watching them. Thats literally the only way they would learn anything, since the governors not going to fine them fairly, we should.

The part about Dr. Mike shocked me to my core. HE IS A DOCTOR. Not only an adult man but a doctor who has seen the impact of the virus firsthand. I'm a teenager. Nobody I know directly has had the virus. And yet, myself and everyone I know who have been struggling so much socially, mentally, and financially for the last year have continued on doing what's necessary to keep our communities safe without a second thought. And then there's people like this making it so much worse. I am absolutely disgusted.
hes an actual doctor and we care more about peoples health than him, its pathetic. he always tells his viewers to stay home, dont be a spreader, do the right thing! -_- meanwhile he has a nice little party while others are suffering and their loved ones bodies are thrown into mass graves bc they cant afford a funeral. hes literally seen it he knows the statistics through and through, and he still doesnt care at all
Maybe what should shock you more is how people blindly follow all this pandemic stuff. He is an actual doctor and believed this “risk” was fine. Same as many other real life doctors. Makes me wonder what they know that we don’t that makes them feel like the risk isn’t as high as we are being made to believe 🤷🏽♀️

Imagine thinking Ariana Grande is calling people out for clout as if she doesn't have 220 MILLION instagram followers and one of the most popular people on the planet
random tiktokers: “yeah i just need a break this is so difficult” healthcare workers who have to deal with the consequences and work countless hours a day: “am i a joke to you?”
People who can work from their big comfortable houses and still make a ton of money without having to worry about losing their jobs, but STILL chose to be selfish and ignore the rules and complain about how hard it is need to go.
It is incredibly frustrating that the Kardashians, the Hype House, all these other TikTokers, and all these RUclipsrs will never face any consequences for this. While the normal people are closing their businesses, getting evicted, not able to hold funerals for their loved ones, seeing their grandparents die alone in the hospital and struggling to even bring food on the table, these influencers will continue to make millions of posing with a gucci bag and partying on a yacht.
So true. My grandma passed from it last summer, we couldn’t even give her a funeral. And now my mom is in the hospital with a sudden heart problem and I can’t go visit her at all
@@mommp17 Oh my I'm so sorry that all happened to you and your family. I'm wishing you all the best of luck. And I agree, it's so infuriating that these "influencers" are partying with no care in the world while us "average" people are suffering the consequences.
not to mention that normal people also sometimes have health issues that they can’t afford to help which puts them at greater risk for covid. My mom’s friend’s mom passed away out of nowhere a few weeks back. The funeral home said she had Covid, and even though they cremated her, they still haven’t been able to have any memorial for her because the parish I live in has the highest count in the state at the moment. It’s so heartbreaking. It’s so hard to not hate rich people at this point.
I come back to this video every once in awhile and I don't think the ending has ever not had me sobbing. Not sure whether its anger or sadness but the weight of the amount of people in these positions who just couldn't care about the people around them enough to not party and meet up is hard to put into words. This video meant alot and it's so well made, thank you and I hope anyone who suffered a loss during the pandemic are able to keep moving forward and heal from it all

I wasn’t allowed to go to the hospital the entire time MY MOM was hospitalized and was only allowed to visit her when “death was imminent and inevitable” and by the time I was finally allowed to see her, she was unconscious and I never even got to say goodbye. I feel really vulnerable sharing this on RUclips but this video has me shaking cause I’m so mad and sad.
As someone working in a hospital, it is also frustrating to us that we cannot allow visitors. We understand the policy, we know it’s for the best in the long run. But it still isn’t easy for us either, because we would really like for family to be able to be there. It’s just better all around when they can be.
This is sad, but what I’m getting is - “If you’re middle class to poor, stay home! It’s easy!” Which, in theory, it is easy! Most people are broke as fuck right now and can’t even /consider/ traveling somewhere even if they wanted to. Yet if you’re a celebrity you’re somehow entitled to... be a dickhead? Gross.
People are losing their jobs and starving, so a lot of lower class and even some middle class people actually CANT afford to stay home. But these millionaires are entitled to take vacations and kill people.
What's even worse, is that people that are middle class or poor are the ones that HAVE to go to work. Despite wanting to stay home and see no one, they are your truck drivers, grocery store workers, construction workers, waiters and waitresses, and any other blue collar or service workers serving these assholes. It's disgusting.
The name of this injustice is: Capitalism. That is why things are so warped & unfair. It puts money, profit above human rights. It puts a price on human rights. 😭 If we had an economic system that valued human rights & societal progress over capital(money), then those who need food, water, safety from the virus, healthcare & education would be provided it. We have the resources to provide this. Those in power just want you to think we don't. Even under capitalism, we have our tax dollars which should provide for us during this pandemic especially. But our tax dollars are being looted by the ruling class, for bailouts when they fail(especially in the stock market), by corrupt billion dollar defense contractors, etc. That is OUR money. The ruling class(aka the bourgeoisie - CEOs, billionaires from inheritance) take the fruit of our labor(in the form of profit). The workplace should be fairly, democratically structured. The working class produces & works hard for that money. The ruling class doesn't have to work; *they* are the "parasites". 😟 Not us. We do *not* live in a meritocracy, or else the working class, who works the hardest, would never be poor. 💯
Rewatching this again and every time I hit the end, I have tears. My parents were working in a hospital as housekeeping when all of this happened, both immunocompromised. I started in retail basically the moment stores opened back up for work because we needed the money. Witnessing the absolute recklessness of people around me was *appalling* to say the least. My godmother contracted COVID and was in the hospital before being discharged with an oxygen tank, and this woman still wouldn't wear a mask and kept believing conspiracy theories. She still has symptoms of long COVID, but I am thankful that her grandchildren didn't contract the disease. I work in a hospital myself now doing various tasks, and even as recently as December, we got red zoned because of the number of cases in the area. This whole situation really just showed us a whole new side of people, and the worst part is it seems to have been largely forgotten, as if it were just another blip of internet drama. Real people got really hurt by these people's actions, and it just got brushed under the rug. It's... Frustrating.
I love the little sprinkles of mentioning how Billie Eilish is doing everything right because not only is that a stab at other celebs who think they’re above everyone but it’s also someone who is 19 is being a more responsible adult than them.
I love her for doing that shady ig story because someone really needs to call out these party addics...and it helps that she's 19 scolding stupid adults
I also loved it because a lot of these tiktokers are like 18-20 and it's just proving that they can be smart and age isn't an excuse and then also like proving to these tiktokers that people who are 5x more famous than they will ever be can do it and then don't get an excuse for being tiktok famous
Bingo...he’s only sorry when his credibility is on the line. We as a society expect more of those who are medical professionals, specifically a medical professional with a highly influential platform. Shame on him.
My classmates and I (we are studying Medicine) HATE people like these influencers. We've lost family members and teachers and we can't attend school. I'm in 1st year, so I don't really mind staying at home, but my fellow classmates that are in 3rd-7th year have to give up going to hospitals and learning over there because our university won't expose them to such danger. We can learn with our books and online classes, but it isn't the same. Only God knows when we are going to return to "normal", I only hope that the people around me make it through, even if I don't.
I do truly hate how ~influencers~ have convinced themselves that they’re the only ones who work hard and struggle lmao...we’ve gone from “RUclips/insta/whatever can be tiring sometimes” to “none of you single mothers of 3 who work 2 soulless 9 to 5 jobs on minimum wage and scrape by just to survive understand how hard it is to make 5 second videos a few times a week”
Very stupid thing for him to say. "We need to disconnect" then leave the fucking internet. I am considered an essential worker and work in a pharmacy, all of us want a fucking break. ALL OF US. But we cannot simply disconnect and decide not to go into work one day. Pissed me off so much
Right? I hear all trade workers rolling their eyes collectively. You haul lumber and tools up to a top floor and balance on rafters and do it for 8 hours 5 days a week and tell me who needs a break.
I’ve always thought Ariana to be quite the diva, and expected her to be among the covid troublemakers. I’m pleasantly surprised that she’s more sensible than I thought. Kudos to her I suppose
I think what irks me the most about this situation is that TikTokers and Internet influencers are arguably the ONE group of people whose businesses could thrive just as much from home. All the resources they need are with them, and they have NO excuse not to be working from home. It’s just so unbelievably out of touch for them to believe that they are the ones that deserve to break the rules when there are people that have been unemployed for more than a year now because they can’t work from home and there is no demand for their services anymore.
i wish people would realize how much power we have as viewers. If we all unfollowed, stopped interacting, stopped buying things they make or promote, and stopped viewing their content, we could deplatform them.
I mean just looking at the GameStop stock stuff shows how much power most internet people have. If we as a collective decided to buy one item, we can drive up the value. If we as a collective decided to ignore and avoid, rather than continue to gawk and needlessly interact, we could lessen the money and influence of so many useless people easily.
unfortunately the 18 and younger generations are so huge compared to the older ones, and they are the most vulnerable/easy to manipulate (besides the elderly, a very smol generation) my take: What I’m trying to say is ever since “slavery was abolished” (it wasn’t: see 13th amendment’s loophole), children have been pushed to be exploited heavily for labor and consumption (they reinforce each other). Child labor laws abolished child labor (except for when parents expect labor out of their children, and I’m not going to ignore forced child labor exists like human trafficking), but for some reason we haven’t gotten rid of heavily advertising/marketing towards children, and in my opinion that is troubling. Kids can’t open bank accounts. Why did I feel compelled to have and want and PURCHASE things as a child, I wonder? (Our system is broken, and these influencers and celebrities are making it too obvious the system works for them but failed everyone else, especially children and their best interests)
This is an important video to come back to once in a while to remember how people behaved. Never forget. Lost my godmother to covid and two friends because of covid/quarantine related suicide. I respect you D'Angelo, thank you again.
I can’t believe Doctor Mike’s excuse/apology. The idea that he was like “well I’m very low-risk of spreading it” first, you have patients; second, what about all the other people you had in your yacht? Are they seeing other people? Do they have families? Are they as careful as you?? So self-serving and really symptomatic of other problems with this “doctor”
I honestly never liked him in the first place. He always seemed to be bragging so much about being a doctor and being handsome. Like... These kinds of achievements could easily speak for themselves (not that being handsome is an achievement). So not humble. And now he's just a hypocrite too.
Exactly. So many fucking people in this video I'd never fucking heard of before watching it, and he's definitely part of that group. This is my second watch and I'd forgotten more than half of these people. But I damn well sure know who Ariana grande is and I don't even like her all that much lol he needs to have several seats

The Doctor Mike thing pisses me off because as the child of a physician, my family has had to be militaristic about not bringing COVID into the house because we cannot risk my dad getting sick and putting his patients' health in jeopardy. We've had to live pretty isolated lives this entire time, and seeing Doctor Mike, a person I really respected and looked up to because of how well he made the medical community look, completely disregard the pandemic for the sake of a boat party was pretty damn shocking. There's already an insufferable stigma around doctors in so many different ways and he just made it worse. Thanks, Doctor Mike.
when i heard he went and partied and put his apology on his second channel. i unfollowed him real fast. i know people make mistakes but damn own up to it fully especially when you were telling people to follow thhe rules and you are a freaking doctor.

Dr Mike infuriated me the most. "I'm not putting anyone at risk" HE IS A FAMILY MEDICINE DOCTOR. HE WORKS IN A HOSPITAL. Influencers are usually not the smartest nor most self aware, but he is a medical professional who works with other medical professionals. ugh, I have a headache from these idiots.
I've made this point before and I'll make it again, it feels weird that practising lawyer Devin Stone is doing better than Mike. Like, this is my first time hearing about his cockup because I don't watch Mike, and I'm all like "Mike how did you fork this up so forking badly holy shirt" (D'Angelo doesn't swear in his vids so I figured I'd match that by using the The Good Place school of swear replacements)
Hold up, on that note of him working in a hospital... What if, and go with me on this potentially wacky hypothetical, what if one of his boat friends caught the virus before the bash, and then spread it to him while he was giving that little massage? Couldn't he then infect the entire hospital...? You know, that clean, sterile place where people are meant to go to get all healthy? Mike... Babe... My dear.... Bro... What the actual f--- is wrong with you holy shirt?!!?
The excuse of everyone being tested is just not enough. They are wasting tests for completely unnecessary events that should not be happening in the first place. Additionally, these rapid tests have frequent false negatives and are also hundreds of dollars and not something the majority of people have access to. They just need to stay home - which they are lucky enough to be able to do since their job is literally making virtual content
excellent points. This is all still extremely new, so neither vaccines nor tests are going to be perfect and completely reliable. And like you said, they should be saved for the people who really need them
They got a test on Monday and say they’re safe at their third party that week when it’s already Thursday. That’s not how they work and they’re not guaranteed. I’ve gotten a false positive before and it’s possible I’ve gotten a false negative. And I’ve only had about 4 tests. edit: it’s just sickening.
Tests are being clogged up by people wanting to go to social events, which makes it so hard and so long to get test results back for those who need it. If it takes a week to get back, the use of the test is greatly diminished
It's so scary realising how starkly different things are between wealthy people and me. I'm living in Nigeria, a country with an economy that is literally designed to bankrupt you, in a home with water so bad we have to buy water clean enough to cook with and electricity that's only on a few hours sporadically during the day. Most of my extended family are elderly living in conditions that could kill you even before COVID does, and that's not even including the crime. I don't know what I'd give to be able to quarantine in some of the houses that these people apparently can't bare the thought of staying in.
Here's to hoping the perception of wealth and status will change with time. There is an evolution to be had, but it takes time and we probably won't see the results we wish for in our lifetimes. Everything starts with the revolt against ego/power and empathy between all that are able to feel it.
I live in a bad part of ireland where there are these people called "travellers". They normally don't do any harm but there lifestyle is different to the other people like me. They never wear masks. You can even google it. One time a clothes shop opened for the first time in 2 months and there was 1000 people all huddled up in a ball with NO masks. And there was a lot of old people aswell.
Dude same in Ukraine. We literally are the poorest country per capita in Europe and our government officials went on a luxury ski trip while implementing new policies harmful to SMALL business and put the country on a new lockdown. Then they stole money given to us by international organizations for covid and used it to build a road lmao Like bruh I’m fine with the lockdown but it’s amazing how all of these people - who grew up in shitholes of collapsed Soviet Union - seem to now have zero awareness and do everything to fuck over the general population who just begs the government to leave them alone and not make it worse
“I don’t put anyone at risk” you’re a doctor??? You encounter patients with all kinds of different immune systems and problems on the daily so you should do better FOR THEM
To be clear I don’t mean to defend his partying, but it’s evident he isn’t considering it a risk to his patients specifically because of quarantining and testing before returning to work. Honestly it’s the other people on the boat, and the people they interacted post-trip, that I’m more worried about.

The worst part about the TiKToker fans is that they're literally just relying on actual children to defend them in the comments.
@blv why though

They literally live in a bubble
FFS.

dude I might be 20 and feel like an absolute child but I still do what's right lmaooooo
And it's the same kids making them popular for being stereotypically attractive.

Besides it’s so hard to be tested constantly there’s so much people being tested at a time.
Exactly. I worked in a goddamn COVID lab and I couldn’t even get tested for the longest time.

No one could ever be.

k so this one took me a while to get through in it's entirety simply because it cuts so deep. Which is probably the only good thing that will come of this mess.
I’m also a human, I also have the logic not to put others life’s in danger for some fun.
I find the "i’m a human" excuse kind of weird. Humans are theoretically capable of logic and following basic guidelines. I should know, I’m one of them.
"im only human... i only cant restrain myself in my million dollar house and lifestyle... i cant just live off exotic caviar and champagne I nEEd human contact with specifically 200 other celebrities"
I'm only human too, the friends and family I havent seen in a year is only human.
My heart is with all of you 🥺🤍
I'm so sorry for your loss 😔

-_- meanwhile he has a nice little party while others are suffering and their loved ones bodies are thrown into mass graves bc they cant afford a funeral. hes literally seen it he knows the statistics through and through, and he still doesnt care at all
I was shocked. I never heard about it either. I just unsubscribed and left a comment on his last video about how irresponsible that was.
What a fraud.
Maybe what should shock you more is how people blindly follow all this pandemic stuff. He is an actual doctor and believed this “risk” was fine. Same as many other real life doctors.
It’s just better all around when they can be.
much love to you
I'm so sorry :/
I’m so very sorry for your loss - going to keep you in my prayers.
I'm sorry about your mom. I would be shaking with rage too.
•• you said it PERFECTLY 👏👏👏••
YES
yup
I love her for doing that shady ig story because someone really needs to call out these party addics...and it helps that she's 19 scolding stupid adults
I also loved it because a lot of these tiktokers are like 18-20 and it's just proving that they can be smart and age isn't an excuse and then also like proving to these tiktokers that people who are 5x more famous than they will ever be can do it and then don't get an excuse for being tiktok famous
And people hating her for no reason and making fun of her fanbase when honestly she is just making music
Dr Mike is the embodiment of “I’m sorry you felt offended”. He’s not sorry for partying, he’s sorry he got caught.
Bingo...he’s only sorry when his credibility is on the line. We as a society expect more of those who are medical professionals, specifically a medical professional with a highly influential platform. Shame on him.
as someone in the same field as him, his takes are SO fucking bad sometimes.
Not only that he has been pushing out information on how deadly this pandemic is as he parties on his friends yacht.
He didn’t even TRY not to get caught. That’s the real slap in the face to me.
When that guy was like "In this business, we need rest" etc, LIKE the hecK? None of the rest of us get stressed and want to go away?? ARGH

The business they chose to go into
Very stupid thing for him to say.
I feel like 2015-2016 below could categorize Ariana as a troublemaker, but she really is mature. Although, with celebrities, one never knows.
She licked a donut and recently have been known as a serial side chick
Ehh she still makes trouble lol, but I guess besides drama, is actually sensible

I mean just looking at the GameStop stock stuff shows how much power most internet people have. If we as a collective decided to buy one item, we can drive up the value. If we as a collective decided to ignore and avoid, rather than continue to gawk and needlessly interact, we could lessen the money and influence of so many useless people easily.

unfortunately the 18 and younger generations are so huge compared to the older ones, and they are the most vulnerable/easy to manipulate (besides the elderly, a very smol generation)
my take:
What I’m trying to say is ever since “slavery was abolished” (it wasn’t: see 13th amendment’s loophole), children have been pushed to be exploited heavily for labor and consumption (they reinforce each other).

Tests are being clogged up by people wanting to go to social events, which makes it so hard and so long to get test results back for those who need it. If it takes a week to get back, the use of the test is greatly diminished

Like bruh I’m fine with the lockdown but it’s amazing how all of these people - who grew up in shitholes of collapsed Soviet Union - seem to now have zero awareness and do everything to fuck over the general population who just begs the government to leave them alone and not make it worse
Same with the majority of people living in South Africa. The wealth gap is incomprehensible.
“I don’t put anyone at risk” you’re a doctor??? You encounter patients with all kinds of different immune systems and problems on the daily so you should do better FOR THEM
unfortunately not all doctors are made even. Dude showed his true colours
He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near patients.
"I'm young and healthy" well Mr Goodman here isn't and you've given him the plague.
I wonder what the cameraman thought about Mike "not putting anyone at risk"
To be clear I don’t mean to defend his partying, but it’s evident he isn’t considering it a risk to his patients specifically because of quarantining and testing before returning to work. Honestly it’s the other people on the boat, and the people they interacted post-trip, that I’m more worried about.
This guy drops this masterpiece and dips like bruh.
