Hi! I’m a new RUclipsr and was hoping I could have a little support! I started about 2 years ago and have already grown a successful amount! I do lots of cool vids and love and notice every single subscriber, thank you!!!!
Doctor Mike deciding he didn't have any loved one that is at risk... While being a litteral doctor, meaning he IS in contact with vulnerable persons everyday... Disgusting. Just. Disgusting.
@@mooothaado A doctor playing with people's life is abhorrent. But karma is gonna come bite him in the ass: someone with that kind of attitude make enemies and ostracize himself. We just have to wait
that’s why I refuse to watch him and am disgusted when people feature him. Literally a pic of him pool partying while they’re wheeling out freezers to store the bodies where I lived, because people were passing too quickly to be kept the fact someone like that is a doctor tells you so much about the us healthcare system not all of them are bad like that but the system absolutely favors money over lives
rewatching this video in 2023, and dude. this is genuinely a master piece. the section where D'Angelo puts the videos of covid-19 affected people next to influencers/celebrities having parties is genuinely CHILLING. 10/10 D'Angelo. This is a fucking masterpiece.
Can you explain what that means? I am not a native english speaker and even though I suspect the meaning, I would like to understand fully. Thank you and be safe everybody!
my grandma died of covid last year, she was also my piano teacher, she died a month before my exam. She practically raised me and gave me my entire musical education. The worst part is i always fought w her because i didn't want to learn piano. Her death hit me hard and i now practice piano every day for her. She was a big [art of my life and hopefully ill make her proud one day. stay safe everyone
@kiw1 that's a beautiful skill and art that you're continuing in her honor✨ I'm sorry for all the grief and sadness you're going through, hope you can find peace and healing!
I’m sure she is very proud of you and always will be. When you play just know she’s smiling and tapping her foot to the tempo. I’m sorry for your loss. 💕
I love watching rich people go and party while having watched my grandma almost die of covid she caught from working at the hospitals. I love seeing it after I’ve watched the nurses in my family come home crying because they held a patients hand as they took their last breathe because of covid. It’s so sexy of them
It’s heartbreaking, so sorry for your loss . I’ve lost my mom last December nd the worst part is I couldn’t see her for the final time b4 parting ways forever….. Dis so called influencers nd celebrities r nothing but worthless pieces of garbage .
@@Alicia-kp8bg at the time 57, so she had to work because that’s far too young to retire. they don’t give a damn about healthcare worker’s health, as evident by the fact that positive healthcare workers still have to go to work
Wow..to not even have enough empathy to not party despite one of your friends loosing their mother due to covid? Completely disgusting. Honestly my condolences to Laura💔
How ignorant some people are suprises me when they get covid and are acknowledge about it they'll still party and infect thousands people like Corona virus would've ended a long time ago if it wasn't for Ppl like them
And here we are 3 years later and over a million people died from COVID in the US alone. I hope these influencers so very proud of themselves and how they contributed to those deaths. I had COVID pneumonia a year ago and it was the worst thing I’ve ever been through. I barely made it was in the ICU for a week and wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’ll never pay off that hospital bill. I hope they’re so happy with themselves.
Jesus. I'm sorry that you had that experience :/ I'm lucky enough that my covid experiences were mild, though it did make my OCD spiral and prolong a traumatic legal proceeding. I hope you're doing a little better now. The American health care system sucks.
Watching this 9 months later. Things are much different now and it just goes to show how shortterm the memory of the collective is. Everyone is acting like everything is back to normal and we'll complete forget that millions of people died in 2 yrs from a virus that was initially preventable.
you're not wrong, i've known of multiple people that, despite their progressive views, have shown up to university events after being exposed to covid and spreading it around. it's so stupid and frustrating. people have already forgotten
a woman was literally crying on the BBC in the UK around Christmas because government guidelines meant she couldn't see her family and she has terminal cancer so she was terrified that she would never see them again...yet these celebrities have the entitlement to wreck all sorts of havcoc...its disgusting
Guidelines don't say that people can't meet up under any circumstances. That's only if you're so afraid and can't leave the house. You can still meet up every once in a while with friends or family as long as it's not too many people, you can still go on walks and exercise. The woman with cancer crying because she can't see her family is sad, maybe it's different where she lives but she can still go see family, I think maybe it's also fear that she'll contract covid. These influencers are doing too much but she can still meet family and be safe at the same time.
@@Prince_the_One Maybe her family was outside the UK and closed borders meant she literally wasn't allowed to see them. (for reference, I didn't watch her segment. I'm just giving a benefit of the doubt perspective)
I cringe when I think of the way I behaved at 20. Many studies show that the brain doesn't fully mature until 25. This is not to excuse the behaviour in this video but just as a blanket statement, a 20 year old is generally not yet a fully functioning mature adult capable of making fantastic decisions.
Watching this nearly three years later is surreal. In the past few years, I lost an aunt and two cousins to Covid-19, and I couldn't attend funerals because of safety protocols. Everything is basically back to “normal” now, but just two weeks ago, AP reported that even mild Covid 19 infections are causing irreparable damage to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems that can go undetected until it’s too late. That makes what these influencers did during a time when there was little information about the disease, no vaccine, and no other form of treatment for symptoms even more egregious. Their careless disregard for the people around them is going to have a lasting impact that they don't realize. I hope the parties were worth it.
@@JadeReloaded i read that in finland speeding tickets are tied to income. Years ago it was on the news that a rich man got a 50,000 euro fine for speeding
Its so frustrating that people with 0 talent have so much popularity, I honestly wish Trump had taken down the app, would have been 1 good thing for him to do lol
As someone who recently blew up on tiktok , I can back this up. There are literally SO many children who support me which is why I need to be careful, because a lot of them tend to defend me because they "think I'm cool". For other tiktok stars who are FAR more famous than me to ignore that is dumb. If I can acknowledge that when I only have 5,000 followers, then those with MILLIONS of followers should be able to do this too
my grandfather died from covid. i wasn't even able to attend his FUNERAL because we lived in different countries. seeing these people party, go out without masks, while i can't even attend a loved ones funeral, is a huge fuck you right in my face.
The audacity of Kylie and Kendall Jenner disabling their Instagram comments because they can’t handle valid criticism over their lack of basic human decency. They think it’s bullying and that they’re victims lmao. They’re killing people
Also Rita Ora was lying about the fact that she got tested when she arrived at Egypt. They don't do that here, they only check your temperature at Cairo Airport. Also in Egypt a small number of people are following the rules and wearing a mask properly so everyone basically has/had covid (like seriously we are giving the USA a run for their money) so I wouldn't be surprised if she actually caught covid and kept it a secret since people called her out.
@@serbaneva4737 Yes! If a fine can effect whether we can pay our rent or car this month it should have the same effect for people with wealth. If the reason to fine people is to encourage them to not do that again hit them as hard as they hit us normal people or it wont mean anything to them.
Some countries base their fines upon income (speeding tickets cost mor for the wealthy). It makes sense if it is meant to punish and deter certain behaviors, then it needs to be at the level that appropriately gets an individual’s attention and should adjust accordingly.
I know this vid’s old, but it still hits. I lost my dad during the pandemic, and a year later, I’m still numb with grief. I’m not angry. But I am ashamed to admit that I wish every person who broke government guidelines needlessly, feels the same grief millions across the globe where forced to feel when selfish people made selfish choices beyond anyone else’s control. You deserve you livelihood taken, you deserve to live on the level we all do
Imagine thinking Ariana Grande is calling people out for clout as if she doesn't have 220 MILLION instagram followers and one of the most popular people on the planet
My husband is dead from Covid-19. He died on Christmas. My children no longer have a father. My mother in law lost her only son. We were extremely careful and I am still careful, keeping my kids at home and only going out for necessities. I HATE every person who flouts the guidelines or refuses to wear a mask. I want them to feel the grief and rage and helplessness that I do. I want them to be afraid of losing their home and worry about how the bills are going to get paid. I don't know how we can make them stop unless they are heavily fined or criminally prosecuted.
My aunt had lung cancer, but it was atill in the treatable phase. The chemo was strarting to work. And then covid-19 killed her, because some of the people around her weren't taking covid-19 seriously.... And now I can never talk to her again, or see her again
My best friend, 8 years post a very successful lung transplant and everything was looking good, we thought she was in the clear. And then COVID killed her. She was in her mid twenties. She'd beaten so much impossible shit already. And people have the audacity to tell me it's a hoax.
Its so gross to hear these tik tok idiots say “in this business we need time off and vacations” while us healthcare workers have been working day in and out short staffed to try and save people’s lives. It’s disgusting
my mums doing uni work at the same time as her placement work in a hospital and shes handling it as best she can meanwhile tiktokers apparently need breaks to go to the bahamas every other day
I feel like people don't understand: we're not mad at them because they're rich. We're mad because they have the funds and resources to stay safe and they choose not to. Meanwhile, people who don't have jobs and can't have funerals are putting in all possible effort to keep others safe. It's pretty basic capitalism at its finest.
I’m mad because I have to be terrified everyday of my mother catching the virus and dying. I’m mad because I know if she does we won’t have enough funds to handle medical bills. I’m mad because people aren’t helping just nip this in the bud. I’m mad that people are incapable of not thinking of others before themselves for a few fucking weeks. I’m pissed that every night if I start thinking about what might happen. If cough for a moment I’m terrified because I know my mother wouldn’t be able to live through it. Im mad that they choose fun. I’m scared, and I’m pissed. And I started tearing up while writing this I’m sorry if this sounded harsh. I don’t want to be mad at people for “living their lives” but it hurts so much to see this blatant... carelessness I guess. Anyway I hope you all are doing alright in these times ❤️ much love
Rewatching this in summer ‘23 and wow…. it cuts deep to know how flippant influencers were back then and how literally nothing has changed. Wild. 10/10 video, man. Glad to see you back at it with banger after fuckin banger.
Since covid has started my mom has been at those protests with 300 plus people, sometimes less, but because I am immunocompromised I had to pretty much stop my relationship with my mother. I am surprised and disgusted by how little some people can care about other people and are just about themselves.
No one: Frontline nurses: Frontline doctors: Essential workers: Generic barely dressed white boy, who spends his days drinking Starbucks and thrusting his hips for minors: In this business that we're in we need some rest, you know?"
It's honestly fucking VILE. I understand everyone needs work and earn an income...but these "influencers" simply aren't essential. There's better entertainment.
Covid feels like a fever dream man. I cannot believe I have lived through everything in this video, and that so many people sadly had to fall because of this. I’m so glad you made this video even all these years later. My condolences go to everyone deeply affected by the virus.
Me too and I feel like charlie was set up a little didn't the parents and Dixie know that they would have fans at the Bahamas and then because they decided travel not only did they put peoples lives in danger when people found out the hole comment section of Charlie's and Madi's video was hate and they were getting the most backlash like the parent's just caused Charlie all that hate and now she is getting a ton of backlash and people are even saying she looks bored and stuff because of them going to the Bahamas
Too common of a mindset. "Your RUclips apology wouldn't have happened on its own because of your guilty conscience" and frankly we owe the next generation better than what we were left, and this ain't it chief. We're failing like the boomers failed us. Truth hurts.
Lol I remember her basically giving that same response in the midst of an embarassingly long screed when the whole Kimye-Taylor feud was brought back through no fault of Taylor Swift's, and yet Kim's been throwing parties while Taylor has only been dropping music and taking walks with her boyfriend.
I am tired of people idolizing Kim K and her clan... they are NOT ICONIC, they are not people to look up to 😒 neither entertainment because that's how they enter in your brain
I've been a huge fan of Doctor Mike for a bit now, I had no clue he, as a medical professional, made such a damaging decision. No apology can make up for that
they have such a superiority complex that they don’t understand the difference between internet fame and ACTUAL fame. the fact that he thought he could speak on Ariana us laughable
@@vbm8992 Yeah. Even if we took it at a simple follower-follower ratio, Ariana still has 10x more influence. But in reality she is backed by gigantic companies and has a global fan base of all ages. It's absolutely bonkers that he thinks he's anywhere near the same level as one of the biggest celebrities of the last decade.
@@vbm8992 and that's fact, Ariana Grande got a dueling song with Mariah Carey, that's just not simply fame, it's power. Notice how he mentioned no name simply because she's annoyed, but he "attacked" her specifically, so who's the 5mins clout chaser here, idk
Bingo...he’s only sorry when his credibility is on the line. We as a society expect more of those who are medical professionals, specifically a medical professional with a highly influential platform. Shame on him.
My classmates and I (we are studying Medicine) HATE people like these influencers. We've lost family members and teachers and we can't attend school. I'm in 1st year, so I don't really mind staying at home, but my fellow classmates that are in 3rd-7th year have to give up going to hospitals and learning over there because our university won't expose them to such danger. We can learn with our books and online classes, but it isn't the same. Only God knows when we are going to return to "normal", I only hope that the people around me make it through, even if I don't.
I’ve always thought Ariana to be quite the diva, and expected her to be among the covid troublemakers. I’m pleasantly surprised that she’s more sensible than I thought. Kudos to her I suppose
My son was born a week before lockdown, he hasn’t met any family. We can’t afford insurance since work has been cut back, and my husband works at a hospital. My entire family and all my friends live on another continent. My daughter has not been able to play with her friends for a year. We live in an area where no one takes the virus seriously and we get laughed at for wearing masks and staying home. My mental health is plummeting. I’m 8 minutes into this video and I want to cry. These people are literal trash.
I can't even buy toilet paper without people trying to stand next to me, I asked nicely if they would move back, they completely ignore d me and I left in tears. I already have multiple health problems, and I just want them to act kind.
Rewatching this again and every time I hit the end, I have tears. My parents were working in a hospital as housekeeping when all of this happened, both immunocompromised. I started in retail basically the moment stores opened back up for work because we needed the money. Witnessing the absolute recklessness of people around me was *appalling* to say the least. My godmother contracted COVID and was in the hospital before being discharged with an oxygen tank, and this woman still wouldn't wear a mask and kept believing conspiracy theories. She still has symptoms of long COVID, but I am thankful that her grandchildren didn't contract the disease. I work in a hospital myself now doing various tasks, and even as recently as December, we got red zoned because of the number of cases in the area. This whole situation really just showed us a whole new side of people, and the worst part is it seems to have been largely forgotten, as if it were just another blip of internet drama. Real people got really hurt by these people's actions, and it just got brushed under the rug. It's... Frustrating.
you know the “popular” group in high school who are all literally popular for being stereotypically attractive but have literally no life skills or personality ? yeah, everyone made that group famous on tiktok literally for the exact same reasons, causing their egos to sky rocket. now these adults are receiving positive reinforcement from millions of people for being involved in the same petty high school drama
this is putting it perfectly. the fact that they are being so raised up for being horrible, inconsiderate people is also normalising it for so many others who "follow" them. influencers are just the personification of what many people dream to be and have, yet they have nothing of real value like oh i dont know, empathy for the millions dying?
I know this was 8 months ago, but I wanna say something. When you look at how many people have died of COVID, how many people have been affected by COVID, it's just a number. You look at it, feel bad, maybe worried, and you go on with your day. It might come up in your mind a few times, but it's just a number. A number. It doesn't feel... heavy. Now think about _your_ life. Think about how complex it is. The emotions you experience. The memories you have. The affect that you have on the people you know. The people you love. What you've done. The memories you've given people. The good, and the bad. The fun, the sad. The love, the hate. The excitement. Everything. Now, you aren't the only person like this, with this complex of a life. _Everyone_ has a complex life. They all have an affect on the world. A life with as much emotion, memories, happiness, sadness, love, hate, excitement, and more as yours. And hundreds of thousands of them just... died. Suffered. Gone. Taken from us too early. Imagine if someone you loved died. That's what their family members, friends, and loved ones experienced. That number doesn't really feel like just a number anymore, does it? And these people Don't Fucking Care I. Am. D o n e.
Yeah, I’m guessing making such well researched, entertaining and insightful content so frequently burned him out quite a bit. I do hope he’ll recover enough soon to come back, but I’m glad he took a step back. This vid and his first vid about shallon lester worried me a little bit because he was so visibly emotionally exhausted 😭
When my dad died in the hospital- he was there for leg surgery and got COVID-19; he hadn’t remembered to bring his cell phone. He had no phone in his room. We couldn’t see him. He died all alone. This stuff angers me to no end.
I hate when Charli's fans say "she is just a teenager leave her alone" like is that hard to understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic? Even my eight year brother is aware of the situation lol
My heart breaks when I think of the children I babysat before the pandemic (4-8 years old). I hope your little brother is coping well, my heart goes out to you guys ❤️
Well she obviously understood that this is a problem, he even shows a clip that she knows. I’m not a fan (barely know who she is tbh) but she’s while old enough to understand, she can’t control what her parents do/where they take her. She can’t be held accountable for their choices.
This is an important video to come back to once in a while to remember how people behaved. Never forget. Lost my godmother to covid and two friends because of covid/quarantine related suicide. I respect you D'Angelo, thank you again.
I come back to this video every once in awhile and I don't think the ending has ever not had me sobbing. Not sure whether its anger or sadness but the weight of the amount of people in these positions who just couldn't care about the people around them enough to not party and meet up is hard to put into words. This video meant alot and it's so well made, thank you and I hope anyone who suffered a loss during the pandemic are able to keep moving forward and heal from it all
Noah Beck really said that the “bussiness” that he’s in is so tiring that he needed a vacation meanwhile my father who is doctor and works 12h everyday hasn’t taken a day off in months... ok my guy
Mine is too and hes putting himself at risk to potentially safe other people. I really cannot stand people acting as if this virs isnt deadly and doesnt have to power to take away people who i love and need
random tiktokers: “yeah i just need a break this is so difficult” healthcare workers who have to deal with the consequences and work countless hours a day: “am i a joke to you?”
People who can work from their big comfortable houses and still make a ton of money without having to worry about losing their jobs, but STILL chose to be selfish and ignore the rules and complain about how hard it is need to go.
Facts and half of their mansions are actually rentals too LMAO and they have to have like 10+ other “influencers” living with them to even afford it so they really need to humble themselves and stay tf inside
I’ve known this girl since first grade, I’m in her Girl Scout troop, and she is one of my closest friends. A year ago her dad died from Covid, and I can’t imagine anyone just partying and living there “ best life” while all the “poor people “ are literally dying. It’s the complete disrespect and not giving a dime that made me rethink everything, my friend has her father taken away from her, but go off and party I guess.
The excuse of everyone being tested is just not enough. They are wasting tests for completely unnecessary events that should not be happening in the first place. Additionally, these rapid tests have frequent false negatives and are also hundreds of dollars and not something the majority of people have access to. They just need to stay home - which they are lucky enough to be able to do since their job is literally making virtual content
excellent points. This is all still extremely new, so neither vaccines nor tests are going to be perfect and completely reliable. And like you said, they should be saved for the people who really need them
They got a test on Monday and say they’re safe at their third party that week when it’s already Thursday. That’s not how they work and they’re not guaranteed. I’ve gotten a false positive before and it’s possible I’ve gotten a false negative. And I’ve only had about 4 tests. edit: it’s just sickening.
Tests are being clogged up by people wanting to go to social events, which makes it so hard and so long to get test results back for those who need it. If it takes a week to get back, the use of the test is greatly diminished
I lost my partner to COVID. We were in a long distance relationship. That means that I couldn't go to the hospital to be with him or be at his funeral. These people who treat COVID like it's nothing disgust me. My partner was healthy and not in the age category where he would have been considered "at risk". He just had a lot of bad luck. Rest in peace Andrew I miss you so much. You will always be a part of me.
I watched this a while ago, but I figured I'd share my story. My dad still had to go in person for his work, while my mom was able to work from home. My parents are divorced, but he lived with his 90-year-old mom (my grandmother) and we decided it was best if he stayed with me, my brother, and myself for the time being. The reason for this was because if she caught it, it would be over for her, she had too many dispositions for her to be safe for him to live there anymore. One day, my dad had symptoms of COVID, so he went to get tested, and he tested positive. It was scary because at the time I was still in school and couldn't afford to get sick and not be able to participate in school for 2 weeks. A few days later, my mom started experiencing symptoms and went to get tested, but it was negative. After a while of her sickness getting worse, she went to get retested and tested positive. They didn't offer tests for non-high-risk people at the time, but when my brother and I lost our sense of taste and smell, we knew we had it too. I have old parents, they're in their 60s. I was 15 at the time, and I was terrified of my brother and myself becoming orphans. My brother and I didn't get as sick (we could still get out of bed and stuff) so we had to take care of our parents for two weeks. I had basically no experience in cooking, and my brother had even less. We were basically living off microwavable meals and food cooked by family and friends, who left these items at the front door for us. Easily the most stressful and panic-inducing 2 weeks of my life. It got so bad that my mom felt she couldn't breathe and she had to drive herself to the hospital because nobody else could. Thank fuck because both of them ended up serving, but my dad still has breathing problems to this day because of COVID, and they might not ever go away. I also have breathing problems (not as bad as my dad) because of it, and I'm only 16! Hopefully they go away, I'm counting on my youth for that one, and my whole family was able to recover their sense of taste and smell as well. I realize I'm so lucky that my situation ended up as it did, and my heart goes out to the people that have had loved ones pass because of this pandemic.
"my next video is coming out tomorrow" video didn't come out the next day, or the next day, or the next day, and now it's been a year. Where you at D'Angelo?!

rewatching this years later as I still suffer the effects this virus had on my body feels like a gut punch. it baffles me how these people treat the lives of others as a joke. it hurts. my heart goes out to anyone who lost loved ones to covid and/or are still affected by the virus to this day
When he was talking about how traumatic it was to almost lose his grandparents that really got me. It reminded me of when my grandmother got cancer and for years we didn't know whether the treatments would work (shes fine now). Its disgusting that anyone would decide its okay to potentially put others in the situation where they almost lose a loved one just so they can have a bit of fun. I really feel for D'Angelo and anyone that almost lost or lost a loved one to covid.
I’m so sick of the classic “I’m a human” bs excuse. They were 100% aware of their impact and the danger but just DON’T care. I’d rather them come out with a 15 second video simply saying “I’m selfish and don’t care” instead of a 20 minute video of them crying and saying they “make mistakes”. I’d have more respect for them if they’d come out that way. I hope one day society as a whole can move past the need for “influencers”.
EXACTLY. yes, you’re human - but that isn’t an excuse to put actual literal lives in danger, because you just can’t imagine anything beyond yourself. everyone else watching is human too, but they don’t go around doing the things “influencers” do, now do they? mistakes exist and it’s good to learn from them but sometimes it’s just so blatantly obvious that they genuinely don’t care.
If you’re “human”, you would have logic and rationale, and if you had that, then you wouldn’t break guidelines and endanger human lives. They deserve 100% of the consequences because they knew exactly what they were doing and they can’t be excused for that...
I find the "i’m a human" excuse kind of weird. Humans are theoretically capable of logic and following basic guidelines. I should know, I’m one of them.
"im only human... i only cant restrain myself in my million dollar house and lifestyle... i cant just live off exotic caviar and champagne I nEEd human contact with specifically 200 other celebrities" I'm only human too, the friends and family I havent seen in a year is only human. We're all only human. Yet somehow, I and a good majority of the population has found it in us to sacrifice our sanity.
Two years out, I like sane humans kept following guidelines got vacced and all that. However due to careless behavior from a single person in my home that utterly refused to wear a mask, and still does, my entire home came down with it. I isolated myself, the person that gave it to all of us kept going to work. Over a year after that I still suffer from symptoms of long covid, my lungs work worse and my cognitive function has been notably impaired. Fortunately no one in my home died but I think it is telling that a household that was going above and beyond the guidelines were comprised by a single dumbass that pretended nothing was happening.
My family and I lost someone. My aunt lost her boyfriend. He caught it and died three days later. Not only that but my aunt has autoimmune issues, putting her at risk. Even though it was dangerous and she did get a reaction because of her autoimmune disease she got fully vaccinated. Because her boyfriend died several months before it came out and she figured the risk of the vaccine reacting with her disease was far less than the risk of Covid. She's not the only one at risk. I have asthma. My roommate has breathing issues as well. My mother is in her 60's and has diabetes. My father is in his 60's with diabetes, only 1 working lung AND COPD. Everyone I love, including myself are at risk. And whenever I hear these people say "It only kills 1%. It only kills the old and the sick. Who cares?" Tom was that 1%. If anyone one of us get it, I could lose EVERYONE I LOVE. And the fact that I can lose my entire family and all these people wouldn't care because "they're old or disabled"....it hurts more than I can say. To go to church, wearing a mask, being fully vaccinated and distancing from everyone only to hear someone get up and give a talk about how they were sad because their kid ALMOST didn't get to go to a concert because she's antivax and nearly didn't get the results back in time to go when we fucking buried someone. Everyone in my family is vaccinated. After we heard that lady talk, we told the bishop at our church that NOBODY is allowed to come to our home or drop off anything for us AT ALL unless they're fully vaccinated. Even then, I carry sanitizer with me everywhere. I get in my car after shopping, I sanitize. I get home from work, I immediately wash my hands. I go on break to eat lunch I wash my hands first. Every time I touch a door handle or fill out paperwork at the doctor for my family, I sanitize. If I feel any kind of sick I am extra careful when caring for my dad. He's disabled and like I said diabetic, in his 60's, with only 1 working lung, but he's also a former paraplegic. He couldn't move his legs at all and was in a wheelchair. After a surgery where they took his ribs out and put in a metal cage, they did something, and he could walk again. They have no idea what they did but they don't want to risk undoing it by going back in so they said just be grateful for the miracle and after years of physical therapy, he can walk again. Not very well. He still needs a cane around the house and going into the doctor's office and if he needs to go to the store he uses his chair to go while I'm at work or if I take him he uses their electric scooters. While we are grateful he can walk again, his mobility isn't good and he needs a lot of help. I help him get dressed, shower, tuck him into bed, I give him all of his medication cause of his memory issues. So if I get sick, it puts him in serious danger because he can't take care of himself and insurance won't approve a daily nurse to care for him. So when I get sick, I wear a mask at home, wash my hands before and after giving him his meds and keep my distance when I can to protect him. We do so much to stay safe and thankfully, so far, apart from my aunt's boyfriend, nobody else has gotten it. And the fact that there are people who just straight up don't care at all about putting us at risk and killing me and my entire family....it really fucking hurts. I've lost respect for so many people during this pandemic. I thought people at church would care and then that lady got up and started crying because her daughter was almost inconvenienced. Her daughter got to go to the concert. And she was crying because she ALMOST didn't get to while people are fucking dying from this. The absolute selfishness to be so self centered about an inconvenience of nearly not going to a concert when my entire family is taking every precaution possible. Tom was my dad's only other friend left besides our roommate and now he's gone. My mom only gets to see my aunt, she can't go hang out with her knitting buddies anymore cause it's too dangerous. But that lady's daughter got to go to a concert but almost didn't get to because her mother is antivax. Boohoo. Fucking sobbing dramatically over an inconvenience like that. Oh my god. She almost had to suffer the consequences of her actions, it's so sad. This pandemic has sadly shown how much people just don't care about others at all. It really eats at you.
get mad. the divide between the exorbitantly rich and the working class has become a chasm. What separates the everyday person from these influencers is no longer just wealth and a luxurious lifestyle, it has become the ability to survive. they're watching us risk our lives to try to eat and pay rent while they sip cocktails on yachts. and they don't even have the restraint to not post it on social media.
It's been interesting watching in real time the increasing number of people going from "These rich people are so quirky and glamorous!" to "eat the rich" in the span of a year Which is probably the only good thing that will come of this mess.
Funny how Kendal Jenner says she doesn't understand why people would criticize her for having a party when everyone around her is "tested constantly" when most people couldn't get tested even if they're exposed. Tone def is an understatement.
Right? Or hearing how they’re doing 30 minutes results for them but us regular have to wait up to 2 weeks for results to be able to go back to work. I had to take 5 days off and it was unpaid just to know I wasn’t exposed. Soooo tone def
“we’re getting tested everyday”, is not an excuse!! Standard testing isn’t 100% accurate, let alone rapid tests. Even if it was accurate, one could have been exposed without knowing and be a carrier for several days before testing positive or showing symptoms. It’s just so stupid, taking all these precautions for what??Are they waiting to get Covid or something? I saw this model on Instagram who had the privilege of knowing she had been exposed and therefore went into quarantine, but didn’t see Covid symptoms until day 12!!! Unfortunately she had been ignorant thinking that masks and regularly testing was enough. Even James Charles caught a cold (which is contagious) around Christmas time. Like babe... I’m glad it wasn’t worse than that but you obviously haven’t been careful enough. No one could ever be. That’s why social distancing is the best you can do. It’s honestly mind-blowing that so many people still don’t understand how illness is spread especially after we’ve entered a pandemic.
58:50 this thing with dr. mike still annoys me so much because literally no one cares anymore. the way he posted it on his second channel instead of his main still bugs me
It bugs me a lot too. Hes a doctor and he was at the forefront of covid information and safety, he needs to be held to a really high standard of accountability. He, out of anybody, shouldve absolutely known better
Watching this in 2024 certainly gives me a new perspective. 2020-21 was a rough time, from the lockdowns to the lives lost. Not just influencers, but regular people who downright broke protocols to feel like they were defiant was really annoying. That was peak ignorance.
CW: ableism and d3ath I’ve almost lost all my grandparents to Covid. One of them was hospitalized for a hip injury and the week that she was supposed to come back her nurse gave her Covid and she passed the very next day. I feel so much anger towards the people whose ignorance and stubbornness resulted in the d3aths of so many, and it’s sickening to see how many of them work in medical fields. We asked for more resources and equipment, and they sent us body bags. I send all my love to everyone who’s lives have been impacted by Covid 19. Exactly!!!! My mom is a medical assistant and our only provider(money, food, shelter, ect) and there have been several times where she was scared to see us because she doesnt want to get us sick. We live in a super tiny apartment with 2 cats. In total there is me, my brother, my mom, 2 cats and 2 birds. I had to go to physical school yesterday and thursday because she couldnt pay the phone bill because the bank would close before she can leave work. Her taking us to school messes with her schedule and makes her late to work. She is literally the hardest worker there amd gets paid the least and there were several times where we were scared that we wernt going to be able to eat or scared that we were going to be homeless. Im 17 (only 4 months older than charli) but i know way better and i know charli is using the "16" excuse to her advantage. She has money, she and her PARENTS can make money, her whole family is a money source amd she doesnt have to worry about being homeless like me. And she is still using that excuse "im 16" like no YOU'RE JUST IGNORANT. If these "influencers/celebs" really cared about their fans they they will stay home because not everybody is as priveleged as them, not everybody is going to survive much longer and these people are just making the pandemic last longer.
@@xiinava6418 oh my goodness im so sorry, and the point you make is SO TRUE! everyone lets charli pass because she's 16. okay? and what? stop acting like she's 6 years old and doesn't know the difference from right and wrong. in two years, she'll be considered a legal adult. age is not an excuse for you not to take responsibility for your actions. you can tell your family and friends, "we shouldn't be doing this in a pandemic," that's your family and friends. If you really cared for them, then you would stay at home and not see them and not travel to hurt even more people because you are aware of the DEADLY PANDEMIC that is currently happening. Not to mention, her town is the covid hotspot of the WORLD. actions speak wayyyyy louder than words.
I’m glad you didn’t loose your grandparents & I’m sorry that trauma lives in you now but it’s still better than the alternative.
Everyone is acting like everything is back to normal and we'll complete forget that millions of people died in 2 yrs from a virus that was initially preventable.
crazy.
you're not wrong, i've known of multiple people that, despite their progressive views, have shown up to university events after being exposed to covid and spreading it around. it's so stupid and frustrating. people have already forgotten
a woman was literally crying on the BBC in the UK around Christmas because government guidelines meant she couldn't see her family and she has terminal cancer so she was terrified that she would never see them again...yet these celebrities have the entitlement to wreck all sorts of havcoc...its disgusting
and their behavior is prolonging covid. ie spreading it
oh my lord, this makes me even angrier.

I can't even buy toilet paper without people trying to stand next to me, I asked nicely if they would move back, they completely ignore d me and I left in tears. I already have multiple health problems, and I just want them to act kind.
The fact that some 3rd world countries handled the pandemic way better than the US is baffling to me
Rewatching this again and every time I hit the end, I have tears.

When you look at how many people have died of COVID, how many people have been affected by COVID, it's just a number.
You look at it, feel bad, maybe worried, and you go on with your day.
It might come up in your mind a few times, but it's just a number.
A number.
It doesn't feel... heavy.

To everyone who lost someone during the pandemic, even if it wasn't from COVID, I'm so incredibly sorry for your losses.
And like you said, they should be saved for the people who really need them
this !! + they all live in mansions anyway

I'm so sorry.I'm sure it was super scary but I'm glad y'all are doing better now.Hugs from Kenya🇰🇪

I’m also a human, I also have the logic not to put others life’s in danger for some fun.
I find the "i’m a human" excuse kind of weird. Humans are theoretically capable of logic and following basic guidelines. I should know, I’m one of them.
"im only human... i only cant restrain myself in my million dollar house and lifestyle... i cant just live off exotic caviar and champagne I nEEd human contact with specifically 200 other celebrities"

See, you get it!
It's been interesting watching in real time the increasing number of people going from "These rich people are so quirky and glamorous!" to "eat the rich" in the span of a year
Which is probably the only good thing that will come of this mess.
Funny how Kendal Jenner says she doesn't understand why people would criticize her for having a party when everyone around her is "tested constantly" when most people couldn't get tested even if they're exposed. Tone def is an understatement.
Besides it’s so hard to be tested constantly there’s so much people being tested at a time.
Exactly. I worked in a goddamn COVID lab and I couldn’t even get tested for the longest time.

@@yeseniaodalyss3029 i dont consider it slut shaming he isn't condemning her for doing it, only saying everything else she says is scripted except that?
@@yeseniaodalyss3029 oh just shut it, it’s funny
tiktoks who say they “need a break” could just turn off their phones for a few days instead of endangering people by going on vacation
If only all influencers were introverts and hates parties
@@sprinkelle1165 lol sounds like me, maby i should be an influencer jkjk
@@xiinava6418 lol i'm sure you'd be a much much better one than these :')
I’m glad you didn’t loose your grandparents & I’m sorry that trauma lives in you now but it’s still better than the alternative. I’m considering sending the end of this video to a friend who won’t wear a mask because me not wanting to confront him (& possibly loose him) is less important than saving lives. Thanks for the wake up call ❤️
Jayne, _lose that guy_ - he is one of those uncaring, dangerous individuals - you will find _someone_ like yourself, who has a heart - ❤️
Man I honestly started crying at the end
I too almost lost my grandma to the virus and I was just in such a state of fear of losing someone I love and having to tell my little baby brother (2yrs) that his favorite person is gone
My mother and I were really scared for her and I am so happy that my grandma is doing fine and is recovered
Instead of these celebrities trying to “give us hope,” they should donate their thousands to millions to hospitals, research, medical bills, etc.
exactly, they're using our weaknesses to control us
Yes!!
The hell this comment section sound like y’all finna start a revolution over something some rich people choose not to do XD
They should be taxed heavily like they were in the last century so they don't have a choice.
this is what i've been saying!!
In 2023, I’m watching this and it’s making me enraged how celebrities think that they’re just above everyone and everything when I knew people who suffered from Covid-19. I think ( especially youtubers and tiktokers ) need to be reminded that the second they get deplatformed that they no longer hold the status that “ put them above “ Covid-19.
These celebrities are just trying to save face when they’re apologizing, and some of them have the audacity to try to disprove covid 19
“infinite net worth, zero contribution to society” THAT HIT HARD
"They live in a mansion, sure, but their entire life is a rental" is actually an amazing line.

Yep ... this is amazing to hear ... Don’t wanna be heavy but I’d give anything to have had the ability to make amends and say goodbye to my dad so ALL of this is extremely insulting to me ...
@@SteenyBean That's so sad to hear. I'm sorry for your loss.
