For cultural reasons a lot of us here still choose to present themselves in a very stereotypically feminine way (this is and will continue to change as we feel less pressure to conform to your typical beauty standards), but I've yet to meet a Western guy who came to my country in search of that legendary "submissive feminine female" and NOT ended up impressed with how decisive, enterprising and smart women here generally tend to be. Shitty people shouldn't be mocked because they'll only be pushed to the fringes and build their own little dark place there, which is objectively worse for society. They need sympathy, and this is coming from somebody who actually loved Andrew Tate until my friend convinced me against him. If he'd laughed at me, I would have only sped up my descent into stupidity.

A lot of the guys I’ve known to be Tate fans have reacted very poorly to being “coddled” as they put it, but when they would see Tate and his fans as cringe it would create a visceral disgust in them that would actually prompt self reflection. D’Angelo’s approach to moving people away from horrible figures tends to be more of a disgust approach, but there are other RUclipsrs who take the empathetic approach (ContraPoints is a big example) and you may enjoy those more

I was r*ped and brutally attacked (almosed choked to death) by a close friend of mine in my own bedroom when I was 22. I've known him for years so it was completley unexpected. I only told my mother at the time, but when later that year I spiraled into clinical depression and attemted suiside, my father demanded to know why I did it and my mom pressured me to tell him. So I did. And even though it has been 18 years ago, I will never forget his words: " well what did you expect? You invited him". (I haven't spoken to my father in over 15 years now, not just because of that)
I am really ok and over the r*pe trauma. But about a year ago when I suddenly started seeing Tate's name everywhere, and didnt know who he was, I came across those headlines of him saying that r*pe is a womans fault, and all of the trauma from the r*pe and from the talk with my dad just rushed back and overwhelmed me to such an extent that I had a massive panic attack. And since then everytime I saw Tates name I felt sick. I wholeheartedly wish him all the worst things in life, starting with a long prison sentence for what he did to those poor women.
Thank you for this great video! I can't believe how much research and suffering of Tates content you had to endure just to inform us all. Greatly appreciated.

As someone who is Eastern European I find how Andrew talks about Romanian women so fucking funny. He describes them as these good, christian believing, obedient creatures that have traditional family values and do anything for their man. This is a very common belief for western men, who are convinced that women in the west have been so corrupted by feminism and that women here are the only remaining saviours. In fact these men are (unsurprisingly) really weird and fetishise our women.
I am not Romanian, but I am Balkan and we don’t take shit from anyone, even our partners. If you get in a fight with a Balkan woman she will literally insult everything about you. The only reason why Tate has that perspective is because the women he’s around are probably draining his pockets because our wages are really low.
Furthermore women in Eastern Europe are far more likely to work than women in Western Europe, Lithuania has one of the highest gender equalities in EU, while a country like Italy has one of the lowest. Granted this isn’t because we are such a progressive place, but it is because of our socialist past where everyone worked. However this still goes against what tate is preaching.

The ones I know (I've lived in two areas with very high Eastern European populations) are very nice if you're nice to them. But the second you come at them with some bullshit its not going to be a good time. I worked at a middle school with a science teacher from Poland (which I know isn't technically Eastern Europe but I think the culture is somewhat similar). What terrifies me about Andrew Tate isn't that he's spreading a bunch of total nonsense, it's that he's giving people a tutorial on how to basically emotionally abuse women until they are a shell of a person, at which point they will submit to you and stop caring about/prioritizing their own life because they have nothing left of themselves. I've been in that position because my former boyfriend learned it from his father. I don't want anyone else to be treated like that. And the idea that a bunch of teenage boys are being taught how to perpetuate an abuse cycle (that they might not have otherwise been a part of) under the impression that it's a _good_ thing to do is fucking disgusting.

What you said about middle school boys and Andrew Tate is 100% correct. I'm a middle school art teacher and last year, I had two students who idolized Andrew Tate and would try to antagonize me and the girls in my classroom with Andrew Tate quotes and glowing descriptions of his many cars. Nothing I said to the contrary would dissuade them in their idolization. They would try to further antagonize me by asking me what color my Bugati was. I responded by asking them what color the inside of Andrew Tate's prison walls were. I wish I could say that they shut up after that, but they just doubled down on their praise of him.
Honestly, the worst thing was watching them interact with their mothers during parent/teacher meetings. They treated their moms like garbage and their moms were so embarrassed and upset by their actions. I made a comment saying “that’s human trafficking”, and some Tate stans tried to argue that it wasn’t. One of the more common forms of human trafficking is men coercing women they have intimate relationships with to participate in sex work for them. Kids aren't gonna praise the father that doesn't give a shit about them. When kids turn into their abusive parents they do it because they've been faced with challenges too and don't know how to cope to stay mentally healthy given already how vulnerable they were. Trust me, those kids aren't gonna be isolated to the point where being toxic and abusive is the norm. They're smart enough to piece it together that they're in a fucked spot. As a kid who grew up in a household that can be best described as a 3 way WWE smackdown, I knew that all the violence I was around and engaged in was not normal from a very young age. At around age 8, I envied my friends who had functional family units that didn't beat each other up and sat together to eat dinner.
A shitty father is going to fuck up the kids anyways, divorce or not. So ultimately, one needs to cut their losses, divorce, then work on a plan from there. It's too god damn unworkable staying in a toxic environment, you're left weak. I'm probably not going to help your friend and you won't be able to enforce any change without being overly intrusive, but should you end up in a situation like hers, remember my words. @@amy_ambrosio I recommend watching "Behind the Bastards" episode about Andrew. Basically, he has raging daddy issues and his fragile self-image is just him trying to protect himself. It's pretty obvious overall but knowing everything we know about his childhood, it basically became transparent.
      But like, also, @OP part of me genuinely thinks he may have ASPD so that's not the only issue. I wasn't convinced at first because everyone's knee jerk instinct is to call a bad person psychopathic but he actually fits a lot of the criteria;
      Ignoring right and wrong.
Telling lies to take advantage of others.
Not being sensitive to or respectful of others.
Using charm or wit to manipulate others for personal gain or pleasure.
Having a sense of superiority and being extremely opinionated.
Having problems with the law, including criminal behavior.
Being hostile, aggressive, violent or threatening to others.
Feeling no guilt about harming others.

But I also just don't like how everyone who's evil is automatically assumed to either have ASPD or NPD, and I do think people should not take it seriously but basically treat it as rumors. At the start I was assuming NPD if anything because those public figures often have more of those traits (and he has too btw. The "creating a fake inflated sense of self to protect yourself from childhood injury" is pretty much textbook NPD. Him bragging and having to be looked up to is also more of a NPD trait) but the more I know about him, the more I think he should have been sent for revaluation for ASPD.

i recently rewatched a bunch of the testimony at larry nassar's various trials, and seeing those women andrew wrote his name on so everybody would know they were his property standing up for him reminded me distinctly of what i saw in a lot of those testimonies.
at nassar's trial, every victim who had filed a police report was welcome to come and make a victim impact statement. there was no deadline for making the report. as the televised trial continued, more and more former victims found out what was going on and came forward. the number of impact statements kept climbing. in the end well over a hundred women and girls made statements. i think the trial was eight days long. originally planned to be three.
and something happened in the last few days of the trial. women came forward who had previously been adamantly supporting him. it was just treatment, it wasn't abuse! larry loved us. he would never do that to us.
but as they watched other victims describe his MO and what it did to them, they realized they had also been abused. and they came forward.
i wouldn't be surprised if when there's finally a trial, these marked women realized they were being abused. i hope they do, so they can heal.

@@nestorsifuentesaguirre2722 "Might have", that doesn't mean all of them did. There's a reason why adult men like Tatertot target teenage girls, because they know they can easily prey on them by playing to the mindsets that young girls will hear at that time - that young girls emotionally mature faster/before boys their age, that they're "naturally more mature than boys", and because large swaths of society - especially older generations, still romanticize the pairing of the "nubile young woman" (teenage girls between 15 - 18/19) and the older man. Those adult men will go after those young girls and begin complimenting them on how "mature" they are, how "intelligent" they are, how they're "so naturally beautiful even if they don't realize it yet", and it slowly starts turning into compliments "uplifting" them while putting down adult women their age (because the 37-year-old woman has more life experience that will help her better recognize when she's being fed a load of bullshit that the 17-year-old has not yet experienced - often because that 37yo was once 17 and may have experienced that grooming firsthand). Slowly the adult man starts ingratiating himself in the teen's life - sometimes if he's really bold, he'll go after the parents and charm his way into manipulating them into allowing him to hang around their child, but usually he'll find a way to isolate her from he'd loved ones. It builds through inappropriate discussions about crushes, sex, virginity, then risqué photos that become more lewd in nature, perhaps sexting, coercion about what they're doing is "natural", and that the girl's "adult peers are already doing this with THEIR partners" and that the teen "wants to feel/be considered 'grown-up', right?" Eventually, that adult man becomes her "first" and a "relationship" develops where the man emotionally abuses, manipulates, coerces, gaslights, etc the girl into doing what HE wants because not only is he the adult who knows how these relationships work, he's The Man who gets to make all the decisions and sets the ground rules of how the relationship dynamic works because he is the adult and holds all the power, and if she doesn't comply/obey, she gets punished and if she tries to leave or fight back, he threatens to ruin her life by any means and he gets to brag for some time about being her "first", how she "makes him feel like a man" because she hangs on his every word, and doesn't question him or nag him about anything, and has no expectations of him because she doesn't have the life experience of dating and has not yet figured out her likes, dislikes, her expectations out of a relationship and partner... she'll think he's "The Best" because she has nothing else to compare it to. He can be mediocre and not put in any effort because she doesn't know there's better out there, that it can be better than what he's "giving". And it doesn't end until she outgrows him-- literally as in she gets "too old" for him when she turns 20 or 21, and he finds someone "hotter" and "younger" than her to start the abusive grooming cycle anew!

This is nitpicking and not the point of the video, but as a life long fight fan, his kickboxing career is extremely suspect and does not deserve credibility. Saying he was “The World Champion” is a misnomer because all combat sports have multiple different championships for each weight class depending on promotional companies, regions, sports governing bodies, etc. Winning a belt is only worth the value of the specific belt, and he never fought in major companies like K1 or Glory, so he was never globally recognized in the sport and no one in combat sports takes him seriously. On top of that his actual record is heavily padded with wins over many opponents with 5 fights or less experience (sometimes making their debut) when he already had a long career.
I’m only 10 minutes in so maybe this is addressed later, and even if not I realize this is a dumb point to get stuck on, but he never should’ve been believed beyond his fake credentials and it makes me sad how easy it was for him to lie his way into having such a big audience.

      1) He was not good enough
      2) His base martial art was a relatively ineffective one.
      3) He was getting too old to learn new skills.
He competed in small promotions often with bizarre rulesets. This allowed him to progress while using a relatively ineffective martial art. The issue is that there isn't much money in that.
When MMA and K1 kickboxing came along, these rulesets lent themselves to far more combat effective styles and were more lucrative.
However he couldn't make the transition because he was personally not good enough (in his own style) and also was too old to realistically learn the more effective stuff.
He was kind of fated (as many middling pros are) to retire and either be a gym teacher or a security guard.
Thus the fabrication of his online persona.

Additional to that, any woman so virtuous that she would NOT sleep with you to protect her virginity that is so desired, is also a whore to be admonished for not "giving it up" because you "earned it". But once she's slept with you no other man should want her, and you shouldn't stay with her because staying with your first lover is being a "simp" and a "beta male".

as a teenage girl who had to live through the ‘andrew tate era’ in high school i realized the kids who really got into it were the ones looking for a place to fit in, and combined with the fact that tiktok has everyone and anyone on it, it reaches more people. there was always one kid who was really really into tate and still is, he was always a floater and ended many friendships w women (including me) because of what he would say and do (which he proudly credited to andre tate). he would later on try to influence other boys to follow andrew tate but they never got into it as much since they had sisters they were close with or girlfriends. that’s not to say that they didn’t follow tate for a while, he even sucked my best guy friends down the pipeline and when they started acting up towards me i had to basically teach them that women are human and we have our own feelings too. this might seem like a stretch but i hav ea theory that covid really stunted emotional growth for a lot of people which is why a lot of men were searching for maturity i guess, in him. i could go on but i think i’ve said enough. i’m just glad this ‘era’ is over, at least in my area, even with all of the damage it’s caused.

Hi! I study socialization, psychology, and have a background in social work. Covid absolutely did a number on child and teen socialization, communication, and emotional development. It was more immediately obvious that younger children were negatively impacted at first (being reintroduced to a large group of peers with adult supervision). The damage it caused teens started really showing during the 2 years after restrictions let up. This was because they started failing and withdrawing from college at record numbers. Whenever advisors interviewed them asking about what could be done to help them (thinking it was a hard professor, a difficult course, personal issues - the usual reasons why students fail). The answers were overwhelmingly "no, I didn't talk to the professor" "no, i didn't think I needed to do it". This boggled administrators, especially long term academics because these teens fresh out of high school were failing the most basic fundamentals of going to school. Universities have updated their orientation to remind new students that yes, you have to do the work, talk to your professors when you need help, please go to the free/low cost mental health services on campus if you need it.
I went back to university to complete a course in fall 2023 and was kinda weirded out by how much stress was being put on the basics - I later learned the above.
Covid has (and *is continuing to*) wreck havoc with society in ways we totally took for granted. The brainrot occurring now has definitely been building over the years, but I strongly believe Covid advanced it far faster than how it was before.

Me and the father of my child have struggled to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship for the sake of our child for a few years but everything spiralled last year when he discovered Tate. He directly quotes Tate in every argument we have, calls me a low value woman and tell me deserve all the abuse I get from him because it was my decision to procreate with him and i should have been wiser in my decision making. He calls me a slut and when i point the finger right back at him, he tells me it’s impossible for men to be sluts because they are “supposed to chase women”.
It’s ironic to me that Andrew Tate preaches family values when the reality is, his influence is tearing families apart. Granted, my situation with my child’s father was never perfect but we at the very least, we both mutually respected one another on a parental level. As the situation stands, I don’t see our relationship ever improving due to the - i’m afraid to say - irreparable damage Tate has caused in our society. I genuinely don’t think many of us are going to get our sons/fathers/brothers back from this. Many are too far gone. It breaks my heart.
Edit: Wow I cannot believe my comment reached this many likes! The support means a lot, thank you! 🙏🏼 Thankfully, I left him years ago and it’s been a rollercoaster of a journey trying to coparent. My heart is with anyone in a similar position or anyone affected by whatever new-age misogyny Tate has unleashed. Love you guys!

As somebody who is Romanian and has lived in Romania for most of their life, now living outside Romania, I can absolutely say that Andrew Tate has absolutely demolished any outside view of Romania that people around me had. It's genuinely embarrassing to have your entire country diluted to this one man by a ton of people around me. You’re right. Tate should’ve been a wake up call to people. With the current mindset of society to not only be focusing on certain groups like women, people of color, lgbt community, etc, but also putting other groups down like men, straight people, white people, the latter groups are being left behind. It’s obviously a great thing that those groups are finally having their voice, getting the respect all people deserve, and finding qualities about themselves to be not only not bad, but positive.
However, along with that, they leave other groups behind while pushing those groups up and it’s become normalized to villainize them as well. Yeah, I know. “Whoa is me” for the straight, white, cis men, but that’s exactly my point.
There’s a ton of boys and young men who are growing up thinking they’re shitty human beings for characteristics they can’t control like their sex/gender, race, sexuality and once some idiot with a podcast or just in front of them online says something positive about men, it’s no wonder that they start listening to them and start to cling to and idolize them. All of that making them pretty resentful makes the negative things their idols say about women or another group feel justified. Then they just continue to be exposed to more and more negative and hateful things and suddenly they have pretty extreme views instead of a gripe about something or the way something is.
You often see a ton of content calling out Tate and other people in the manosphere, redpill community, etc which is well and good because there’s basically an endless supply of bad takes, problematic ideas, etc.
HOWEVER, they rarely ever give examples of people/creators who exemplify positive masculinity, what it means to be a good person, etc as a substitute, so the naive, impressionable and maybe even resentful boys and young men have either a shitty person who lifts them up while spewing problematic or harmful ideas or nothing, so it’s not surprising that people continue picking the shitty person.

    • @insertrelevantusername8760
      @insertrelevantusername8760 Год назад +43

@@ItsMe-cp8xc This is my theory as well. A lot of young men and boys feel oppressed or weak in some way so they follow after people who they think are strong, but are really just shitty people. They start to mistreat the groups you first mentioned as a result, which just leads to more counter-hate. Society needs to reach a point where we are able to understand and respect each other regardless of skin color, sexuality, gender, etc, but with so much hate (both sides being guilty of this) it seems impossible.

I wasn't exactly aware that he looked up to him until we were together, and even when we were together I never looked into Andrew Tate or the stuff he was saying. All I had known at the time was that he was a controversial figure on the internet but I wasn't sure what for.
I only began to find out more about him when news articles began popping up about Tate getting arrested.
For a bit of context: I was a freshman and he was a sophomore, and I feel I can confidently say that him looking up to Andrew Tate destroyed our relationship. He already had issues of his own, but him looking up to Andrew Tate only made everything worse. When we were together I tried to explain to him how he doesn't need to have this whole 'masculine' image 24/7 and that he can relax around me. He didn't hear me out, he began to hide things from me, canceling dates, messaging other girls behind my back, etc etc.
From there it got worse and worse so I ended up leaving, and I'm so so glad I did.
Andrew Tate's messages are vile, its sad to see how his messages can damage teenagers, young men and people as a whole.

I am so beyond enraged about these men telling us women to be "smarter" to not get assaulted. What the hell? We are supposed to live in constant fear and impose restrictions on our ability to move, travel, enjoy and experience life just to not get assaulted and possibly killed. I hate it, I've had enough of this. Men like Tate don't even acknowledge how mentally taxing and exhausting this is - to live in constant fear of aggression, to always be on the lookout, to think about your surroundings, to make mental notes who is walking behind you when you simply try to get home from work in the evening. It just wears you out, but you can't help it, it gets sewn into you because of all of the news about women getting assaulted and killed. But worse than that, most of the assaults are actually done by people close to the victim, by family members. How do you "act smart" when the perpetrator is in your house to begin with. Men can experience the world without this constant threat, meanwhile women don't have the luxury. And it's not our fault, goddamn it. I hate it.

As if we are not already doing that. I mean, it would be interesting to see these men in our place. How would they feel living in constant fear for their life. Not just "walking home from work" but "walking home from and trying not to die". I once missed my bus stop cause I fell asleep on the bus and I had to leave the bus on the next stop. Suddenly four men walked out of the bus after me. They crossed to the other side of the road and they stood there, right on the other side, and they were discussing something very emotionally. They were not moving, standing right across me. I did not know their language, but I legit thought I was going to die that night. I panicked, I called my boyfriend and asked him to pick me up and I was counting seconds. I got lucky, but still, such a minor mistake could've cost me my life or well-being.
