  • The RX is Super73's flagship electric minibike for 2021, available online and from a growing global network of dealers, with two eye-catching colors and a one-year comprehensive warranty. Integrated lights with brake activation, high-volume horn, and full coverage plastic fenders allow for safe and dry city commuting. Motorcycle-inspired design features an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame, heavy-duty spokes with extra-wide hub spacing, and a triple-clamp fork complete with bump stops. Premium full suspension from DNM provides excellent travel and full adjustment controls for preload, rebound, and compression damping. Easily exceeds 30mph thanks to a massive 960 watt-hour battery pack driving the 2000-watt peak rear hub motor, control pad is unobtrusive and intuitive to use, companion smartphone app pairs easily and offers rich information readouts and advanced settings. Defaults to Class 2 configuration for widest legal acceptance and safety on multi-use trails and bike lanes. Only available in one small size that is difficult to pedal especially for tall riders, still quite heavy at 81.7 pounds and difficult to transport up stairs or in vehicles, limited availability can mean long waits for initial orders or replacement parts, poor side visibility due to no side reflectors or light cutouts.
    This in-depth review was not sponsored by Super73 or any other company, but I would like to thank eBikes USA in Denver, CO for providing access to this test bike.

I would also put some self stick foam wether striping around the head light and seal up any spots i could with Thin black plastic. Old plastic Oil jugs and such are free and when paired with Zip ties can add tons of free protection from the elements. Also Silicone on electrical connections and pass throughs is a major upgrade

    Reasons I like this: I’m short. Everything with a motor feels big to me so at 5’6” this is easily to handle. It’s electric. $3300 for a bike that climbs that small hill at only 10mph, is too cramped to make any real power while pedaling to help with better range. Only one gear. Too small to easily stand when encountering bumpy terrain for better control. Sounds like a complete ripoff to me.

    The bike is nice and I can see where it would be very useful in the city but I am an out2doors man that needs a bike that can not only be used in the electric mode for getting into the woods but also add a gas engine for longer distance and while a rear cassette for speed can be added and there is room for a gas engine I would move the horn higher on the frame and add a jackshaft for powering the sprockets and gears but I am having a hard time on where to place the gas tank as the place for normal insulation is taken up by t2he battery. I am wondering how much this bike costs though?

      @ScottReinhart 3 года назад

      @@TysonRoehrkasse I was wondering through the whole video about a comparison to the HyperScorpion. Performance seems to be very similar. So between the 2 bikes, do you feel the Juiced bike is better overall? Fits a taller person better with the high seat option? Any other big advantages. Love to hear your thoughts. Thx.

    • @TysonRoehrkasse
      @TysonRoehrkasse 3 года назад +4

      @@ScottReinhart For a taller person and commuting or utility uses, definitely the HyperScorpion. It's much more comfortable to pedal and you get a derailleur by default so you can actually pedal at high speeds (felt great at 30-35mph). You get a decent rack built in and Juiced has some awesome cargo accessories. Plus the mirrors and turn signals, and built in alarm.
      For more fun, adventuring, and especially off-road riding, Super73 seems much better. Better suspension, stronger construction, lighter and more nimble, all-terrain tires.
      Just my opinion, of course :) Ultimately it will come down to what you want to use it for, and I think they're both excellent bikes.

      Yes, technically you could... but so what? I understand the cost similarity, but motorcycles are very different. They require a special license that costs time and money to get, additional training, insurance, more expensive riding gear, and you can only ride it in the street. And of course, they require gas to operate, the cost of repairs and maintenance is higher... and so on.
      Depending on what you want to use it for a motorcycle might make more sense. For a lot of people, an ebike is going to be way more practical, enjoyable, and affordable in the long run. And you get exercise!

      I think you have to have your phone for that. From what others are saying there is a new firmware update that my bike didn't have, but I'm not sure what functionality it adds.

    • @martinallison8565
      @martinallison8565 2 года назад

      Simple answer is no. The bike resets to default mode 1 or 2 depending on whether EU or USA spec, each time it is turned off. You then need a phone (with Internet connection) to change to modes 2, 3 or 4. The road legal mode 1 struggles with hills, and you will need all the gears (10 speed now available). Mode3 takes hill's easily, if you want to go at speed run up necessary. Mode 4 built more for speed on the flat. All depends on your own effort.

  • @maximusoptimus3817
    @maximusoptimus3817 3 года назад +1

    So you need to be way shorter and have added gears to make pedaling comfortable. I see the RX model as an only option from Super73 because it has dual suspension. But is the suspension good enough?

    • @TysonRoehrkasse

I tried telling them to deliver it after five when i got of work and they wouldn't do it. If you are an ebike company i would think about using a different company to ship your ebikes. They only use a call center in India as there customer service. You can not speak directly to a FedEx representative. They are terrible at getting a package delivered to there customer, beware.

    Honestly speaking from looking at this video I can tell that I don’t like this bike. It’s about four or five thangs I don’t like. Starting with having to go in the app to be able to change the modes as far as the speed. I don’t like the lights or the tires. It has a really small display. And it seems to be a slow bike. The height of the bike is short also and the bike doesn’t have gears. And I don’t understand why they would have two different size tires on that bike. Sorry I’ll stick with Juiced Bikes or Ariel Rider Bikes.

    • @TysonRoehrkasse
      @TysonRoehrkasse 3 года назад +4

      As a tall rider I did like the Juiced HyperScorpion much better for fit, especially with the tall seat option and 8 speed cassette. I haven't gotten a chance to try the Ariel Rider bikes but I want to!
      A couple people have told me that if you change the mode on the Super73 and then hit "Save" in the app it will stay that way even when turning the bike off and on, but I didn't get to test that. I agree it would be nice to be able to change it from the display, I prefer to leave my phone at home when I'm riding. I do like the small display though, minimalist and out of the way.. that's just a personal preference thing though :)
