    Completely agree with every point you made but one, here in California most casinos have a tiny little disclaimer on multi points days/events, "video poker excluded".

    Casino won’t offer promotions on all days. For most of days without promotion, if you play more you will lose more even you are given the free play. So you really have to figure out how much to play to take advantage of the free play but also keep your theoretical high. It’s challenging.

    Does it make a difference if you play 100 hands in an hour or 100 hands in 30 minutes?NW

    Unfortunately, on cruise ships, they seem to set all their machines to 6/5. It's still much better than the slots on the ships, but it's frustrating to only find 6/5 machines.

    if you are using a strategy card, will security kick you out? Do I have to memorize the strategy of my chosen games?

      I use it all the time in the casinos and I have never had a problem. However, I keep it in my pocket and only consult it if I have a hand I am not 100% sure how to play. You can use the same strategy for jacks or better and bonus games as the differences are minor. However, for double bonus, double double bonus and other games the strategies would be different.

      If they see you using a strategy card, the casino will LOVE you. That means you think you are going to win in the long run, so you will keep playing no matter how bad it gets.

      +movieguy73 Not all players clubs work in this manner, but some do, including all Caesars Entertainment properties. We have another video that gives more information on this subject - ruclips.net/video/FHtYqJGDs7s/видео.html

    Only the IRS would think its reasonable to demand that gambling addicts be responsible enough to manually log all of their play time.

    how many times do i insert the players card?

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  6 лет назад +1

      Just once and keep it in there! However, you may want to check once in a while to make sure you are earning points. Sometimes it may not be fully in and you won't get credit for your play.

    Ok, I have some questions. I play video poker. In Europe. There are only 8/5 poker machines with a progressive jackpot. This one starts at 8000€ It's about 8000$. I've seen that progressieve sometimes as high as 15.000$. You have to play max bet and that is 10$ each push on the button:)
    I know all about the strategy. My questions are. What should be my bankroll to overcome the ups and downs?
    And most importantly, how do you "professionals" play? Do you enter a casino, sit down at a video poker machine and play it until you hit that Royal? Here in Europe, casino's close at 3am and open at 2pm. So I could get a good night sleep. Or, do you play 3 to 4 hours, then go home and come back the next day or week, to play again 3, 4, 5 hours. And will you sit down at the same poker machine or another? I would like to see some answers on those questions. Thanks

      There is video poker software you can buy which will analyze any game for you. If it is a progressive machine you can also calculate the payback on that machine to determine when it turns positive. You can also run a "risk of ruin" analysis to determine how large your bankroll should be in order to outlast the bankroll fluctuations. We sell that program, at a discounted price, on our web site - www.americancasinoguide(dot)com/optimum-video-poker-software-windows-version.html That program will work on both Windows and Macintosh computers. If the progressive is well into positive territory, then you would want to play the machine until the royal is hit. Over here in the U.S., there are some video poker teams that look for machines with positive progressive jackpots. When they find one, they try to take up all of the seats at the bank of machines and keep playing until the royal is hit. However, some casinos don't like this and may not allow it. In the long run, if you only play video poker progressive machines where the jackpot is high enough to bring the return over 100%, then you should be able to make money. Naturally, the more over 100%, the more likely it is that you will be a long-term winner.

    This is such crap, there no tips for video poker.. look, video poker in the majority of casinos pay back 90% of what they take in, that’s no secret... I was dealt Queens & Twos for two pair right, most people would keep the queens or two pair for a win, I through the queens away and kept the two two’s and was given four of a kind four twos for 400$.. I’ve been dealt cards I just threw away, it’s all fkng rigged.. It’s luck and small amounts of strategy..

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  4 года назад +1

      Gambling regulations require that the cards be dealt randomly in video poker. However, there are some states where video poker is not a random game. That would be in states with Class II games based on bingo, plus all racetrack casinos in New York, plus all casinos in Washington state.

      @@TheJackpotGents TYVM for the tips though I must agree with Ashley Ice. I also believe everything is rigged and it's so easy to do it. I am a programmer, it takes less than 5 lines of code to rig a poker game, then compile to binary machine code and no-one can tell or prove it when everything becomes hardware/a machine motherboard... what regulations? We're talking about mafia in vegas owning casinos, everybody is polluted and bribed. How about their 'new trick'? People win in slot machines and casinos don't pay their wins. They claim 'faulty' machines and the bribed judges rule in favor for the casino... So, yeah...

    • @indianapatsfan
      @indianapatsfan 3 года назад +3

      @@chapacubraelderscrollsonli3491 that's absurd, no casino is going to risk losing their gambling license for an increased edge on video poker. If they tried something that stupid all it would take is for one programmer to squeal and the entire business is destroyed.

    • @dalej42
      @dalej42 2 года назад

      If it was that easy to ‘rig’ video poker, why wouldn’t casinos just do that rather than the constant lowering of pay tables?
