Been waiting on this video for weeks! We need a full length documentary on Roaring River. Thank you so much Mike, Randall, and team. Missouri kicks ass.
Congratulations on that depth record! Look forward to seeing more of this footage. That level of expertise and strong sense of adventure are really inspiring. Very cool.
Living less than an hour from this spot, I've visited it a handful of times and its beautiful. Just went last week with my kiddos and they loved it. Love seeing the parts I wondered about while I was there. Greetings from the USA! glad to see it being seen all over the world.
Diving in water is fascinating. Every day we are surrounded by air, we dive in a huge aquarium called Earth. It's amazing that we are surrounded by so much density and variety. Thank you for letting us see your video from here. I admire your skills and modesty.
Amazing to see that depth and to watch extraordinary divers mapping the unknown. Just watching your trim and skill at depth...pretty inspirational, as well as your super calm demeanour- Mike, I can only dream of moving in water like you do. You are 3/4 fish, I swear, whereas I'm a sea cucumber in comparison! Your care and reverence for the environment and it's cultural connections are also inspiring. Keep safe, looking forward to watching much, much more.
Wow! So amazing! I have been visiting Roaring River for decades and currently live within ten minutes of the Park. This spring has always been a mystery. Thank you for lending us your eyes throughout the process! Congratulations!!
I just wanted to tell you how much I admire you! Because of you, those families got have their children back! Everyone else had given up on them, but not you! God bless you! Most amazing rescue of our time! ❤
The only bad critique I give ths video is that the music is loud. I lisen with headphones and I could hardly hear the talking and had to turn down the volume to keep it from hurting my ears. Other than that I am enjoying your channel as a new subscriber brought here by the Dive Talk guys after watching you video with them about the MrBAllen episode that delved into your tragic dive . I'm so sorry for what you had to go through and could see how it still affected you to this day. I hope you stay safe and carry on following plans to a T. Also congratulations to you and Randall for setting the depth record. Well done!
Congratulations! I’m genuinely terrified of cave diving, but I love watching footage/films/videos of others exploring and discovering the hidden wonders our world has to offer. So… thank you 🙏🏼 Oh and the music is gorgeous! It sets the mood perfectly.
Can you do a video on maybe a KISS update, whats going on with current development. I saw a podcast with Brian and said he was helping out with a deep rebreather made for 120+. To add to another topic, how you went about developing a kit for the Explorer converting it to full mccr. Also with technology have you thought about incooperating more electronics or a solid state?
When are y’all diving again? Are you doing anymore dive talks? I would love to learn more about this incredible cave system and the divers willing to explore it (and the gear). Amazing.
@@mikeyoung8968 Hubby and I watched all your dive videos again tonight. So suspenseful! Y’all are nuts but more power to ya. It’s wonderful to watch y’all’s dives. One question, how do you manage not to get your gear caught on jagged rocks?? Amazing.
Until today I had never heard of this spot and it looks amazing. My first thought on mapping that huge room would be is it possible to use a LiDAR Scanner to really gain the true size and shape???
Hey Mike, any updates on how things are going with setting up the underwater environments for deco? Have you had to stall exploration to wait on these being put in place? Hope all is going well.
Thank you for the uploads. its incredible to be able to see this! do you think it could be possible, or if its being done already, to dive basaltic lava tubes? i live in the galapagos archipelago and work here diving. im thiking about learning cave diving to try to explore this tubes. Do you know if this is done anywhere? thank again for the mesmerizing videos!
It is a lot of years of practice. The best way to start is in a pool with no fins. That will help you get your trim weights in exactly the right spots.
Wow that's very deep and so dark, but there are just occasional days that I wish I had learnt how to dive when I was young, so I could escape to somewhere quiet, knowing I couldn't be easily followed, once every 🤔 6 months or so 🙂😉🕊✌.
I did found the KISS company. About 10 years ago I sold them one of my patents on a rebreather. I started working for them and then bought the company. I still do all the inventing.

Please be careful if you dive it. I've seen several ghosts in it
I am inordinately invested in this adventure. I hope you guys get your permit granted and can keep exploring the spring.
Thanks so much for posting!
Permit was granted. Due to high Covid numbers and bad weather we dropped the January trip. We will hit it February!!!
Oh my goodness… TOTALLY AWESOME…TOTALLY.. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!!!

Hope things are going well Mike. Able to give an update on any recent progress?

Who was the previous record holder before you guys? Amazing stuff.
You guys are so brave 💯
Hey Mike, any updates on how things are going with setting up the underwater environments for deco? Have you had to stall exploration to wait on these being put in place? Hope all is going well.
We have habitats in place. Due to recent rain the flow has been to much to get through the restriction
Hell yea. Good shit mike!

Yes there are many volcanic islands that have explored lava caves. Just get proper training and be careful. (You can also invite me😉)
You’re an animal sir. Big fan. Well done
Thank you

Hey man how is it that when you dive you seem just flat like a sheet of paper. Why doesn't the water effect your trim

Big thank you to Kim Mikusch
For letting Mike know People are waiting for this video 😉
What does it mean “natural dive”? Serious question
Natural cave dive means there is no man made structure above the cave or spring entrance increasing the depth, like a lake or reservoir.
@@randallpurdy8708 thanks for the info Sir.

Whats the depth? 472 feet?
Thank you Mike!

What, if anything at all is the weirdest object you've found in a cave that doesn't belong there?
Down in the Yucatán jungle we found artifacts dating before Columbus
Doing God's work. Thanks Mike.
143.8 meters for the rest of the world.
That’s damn deep there Mike!
