Moore cave system “the dive”
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.Год назад
This is the complete dive. It will be boring for most people as sumps (the flooded part of a air filled cave) don’t have much to see. It was very cold with not a lot of room. On the first attempt at this sump we believed it to be about 300 feet so I took very small tanks. This time we took a bit larger light weight tanks this made me float even more and made crawling against the ceiling difficult.

The words about being the new age explorers has got me fired up like no other. Such a primal feeling knowing the potential for me to be apart of a team discovering something that hasnt been seen by humans for tens of thousands of years ; potentially NEVER being seen by another human ever. For the longest time ive had no interest in being a cave diver but man Mike, you sure are one HELL of a salesman. Great stuff brother, stay safe as always!
Treasure hunter!!
I stumbled across your channel. You are a heroe.
Thanks for the kind words.
Astonishing. It’s incredible really. They need to echo locate that place with sonar and see what the layout is.
Between the land man and the EPA they'll get a rehab crew out there. Probably smart pig the line. Wish I could be there for that I could use the work.
Love it!
Love that all that technical gear and then there's the ziplock bag:).
I want one. Perfect tool for sumpy shalow caves we have around here. Do you take orders for the mini o2 sw Mike?
No it is one of a kind!! Sorry
@ I supposed so :) hehe
As always, great vid. The last quote, perfect for the whole thing! Keep exploring
Great video Mr Young, I’m so glad Dive Talk introduced me to your videos. Safe exploring mate.
Finally had time to see this. A cave I dive has a lot of some type of stubby shrimp I think. I sent Fernando info I found on these and other creatures found in the caves in D.R. Thanks for the video!
Mike, tenho um lugar aqui no Brasil que tem uma carvena aquática, com uns 800 metros que nunca ninguém mergulhou, e no município de barbalha no município, carrirri

Thanks algorithm, i didn't know Mike had a channel.
Just fab Mike. ❤
High cinematic quality! Love all your videos, Mike.
What an awesome video. How would one even go to start the journey towards cave diving?
Where are you at? Find a good mentor or vacation in a cave diving area and take some training. Go to different areas and train with different instructors to get a variety.

I hope these words are in a book. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Just wow for a man of few words this was a thought provoking video well done mike i love ya content thanks dude
Dear Mike Great video. And epic words. I have an anxiety disorder since like 20 years and i had to learn exactly what you said. To embrace my fears, to let them guide my. To go wherever my fear is the biggest. The more my fear tells me to stop, the harder i go for it. I honestly sh** my pants everytime i penetrate a wreck but as you said, it makes me focus on the details. And I belive the fear even makes me stronger. How did they say? Nothing great ever came from comfort zones. Thank you for this great motivation.
Your welcome, thanks for your support
If I could 'like' this video a million times I would. So well done. Thank you for sharing!
Mike youre an exceptional human being. Thx for a great video.
Awesome video Mike! I really like your words on fear and exploration.
That's as good as it gets. As good or better than Discovery Channel, National Geographic and the like. Gotta give it a couple of WOWs, WOWs. Thanks Mike!!
Thank you
@mikeyoung8968 Most welcome!!

That was an amazing video. I love watching what my fear would never ever allow me to do. I love the water , well I love the life under the surface but my fear of water would never allow me to do this. I kid alot , he is handsome though, a real man's man in my opinion but I have the highest levels of respect and admiration for this man . A true hero to me. Always come home buddy, always come home. ❤🙏
wow, that was beautifully written and filmed. The world needs more explorers and story tellers. Hope you put more of your adventures into written or video form for us to enjoy.
More to come!
Woww❤❤❤💪💪💪
That was so beautifully spoken. Thanks Mike & team. I wish I could overcome my fear of the water. I've wanted to dive all my life but cannot move past that fear. I live vicariously through your endeavors & thank you for sharing always. You're amazing!
Have you tried to dive?
@mikeyoung8968 No. I had a near drowning experience from a rip tide as a child & this many years later can't shake that fear. Learning to dive was a dream of mine since childhood. I always felt one with the sea till that fateful day. I love watching you and your crew, the technical aspect of what you do is as fascinating to me as the dive itself. Thanks always for sharing. I'm a huge fan of yours
@@Dandeb19 have you tried a try out dive in a swimming pool? You can stand in the shallow end, no deeper than waist or low down chest. Breathing from the regulator with face in air and then try just dipping your face on surface of the water, if you get stressed you can lift face again. After a while you should be able to work up to actually having head in water breathing from regulator all in shallow water of pool by the side. After more time you might even be able to swim underwater widths of a swimming pool in the shallow end so you can just stand up if you get stressed. Tell a dive instructor what you need and they can provide that experience with a qualified instructor holding you the whole time. Lots of dive schools out there. Try it you might enjoy that and work past old trauma
@tomtom4405 Oh my goodness that sounds amazing. I didn't know a dive school would take that into account. Thank you so much. I will love to try that. Have a wonderful holiday season. Thanks so very much again.
Cave diving looks so fun. Can’t wait to finally dive. Thanks for the video.
What are those fins Mike? 🤣 Were they just what you had available (travelling light?) or do they work well for you?
Matches the helmet I guess.
They are my sump fins. They pack very well in a cave pack. They have decent power but not for the strong current of the ocean or flowing springs
Great!!💪💪💪
Yes a mike young video thanks bud
