    I miss Bolt in Athletics.
    Every big meet he entered just had an Excitement that only he could bring. And no disrespect to all the other amazing sprinters, it's just Bolt was a once in a lifetime Lift... And watching him compete, especially from the years 2008 to 2013, was unmatched. The excitement he brought to every Olympic and World Championship was insane.
    And at least for now, there feels like something is missing during the big Meets.
    Of course he couldn't compete forever, and we were already spoiled to have him as long as we did, but he's left a void and I wonder who the next BIG legend is, if that person is even born yet??
    Thank you Usain, you brought Track n Field to new heights and the world is better because of it.👍👍🔥

    Bolt has to work 2x harder out of the blocks, especially the first 20 meters...but when everyone hits 60 meters, that is when having long legs is an advantage for striding.

    • @BreuckelensFinest
      @BreuckelensFinest 6 лет назад +90

      dee ice You think so? So please explain to me, why is it that the other top sprinter's in the world today that are Usain's height are unable to use their long legs to run the speeds that Usain use to run? All of those 6'3" - 6'5" sprinter's that are significantly taller than, let's say for example, Christian Coleman at 5'8", who is much faster than those tall guy's, can't even come close to the speeds of even Coleman. Please explain that to me?
      The fact is, Usain Bolt isn't fast bc he was tall, he was extremely fast bc of how his coach trained him, his stride frequency & more importantly his incredible power in his legs & hips that created his incredibly powerful foot strike that propelled him forward from foot to foot like all the other fastest men ever before him. Not bc his legs were long or bc of his height.
      In fact, Yohan Blake, Usain's training partner ran the fastest any man has run in recorded history, when he ran that 19.26 200 meters. Yes faster than Usain's 19.19 but, Yohan had one of the worst starts in history bc of his reaction time. So what was realized is, had Yohan reacted around the same reaction time that Usain did in his world record 19.19, he would have ran around a 18.99, that's how fast Yohan ran that day. Not even Usain has run that fast before. And Yohan is 5'11". Again, please explain that one?

    • @giuliopalermo6888
      @giuliopalermo6888 5 лет назад +46

      @@BreuckelensFinest because the other tall sprinters can't produce his incredible power. But, speaking in general, having longer legs allow you to make longer steps, and if you're able to maintain an incredible frequency, like bolt does, then you go faster than shorter athletes that take shorter steps in almost the same time. Bolt starts slowly because it takes more time for him to have a good frequency, but when he reach his maximum speed no one can beat him. Of course only if you are Bolt you can do something like that, because otherwise it's hard to recover the advantage a short athlete has gained to you in the first 30-40 metres of the race.

    • @stevornrichards1380
      @stevornrichards1380 5 лет назад +6

      @@BreuckelensFinest you also understand that bolt be fatigue at those championships running 6 races in a couple of days. Double sessions is not "double", is a day session divided in two. It is more economic that way. We all do like this. Injuries are common to every alive human being, from truck drivers to mailmans to sprinters, all in order to his-her activity.

    Not to mention they HAND TIME reaction time in the 40 yard dash, so because of human error, usain's 40 yard dash would be even faster than 4.10, which is why I say he runs sub 4s

    No matter what Jamaica will always have the fastest people in the world why because of the boys and girls athletic championship this is the high school event where 19 year olds run 10.2 on a 100m run 16 year olds run45 on 400 m run champs requires professional standards to dominate also the only other place you will see people gather in one place with such joy and enthusiasm is times square I too benefit fit from this event I'm 16 and my personal best is 11.65 that was a time i ran on grass look out world we are going to dominate again

    Usain Bolt is not a good starter after watching this video. Yohan Blake had a gap on him near the beginning

    • @dash0173
      @dash0173 8 лет назад +8

      +Kwame Amparbeng that's very true but given that he's 6'5", he can achieve the same type of angles as really fast starters such as yohan blake or tyson gay or even asafa powell. He's always in the front 4 atleast, from the beginning of the race, no matter what. that's why he's so ridiculously fast. (his longs ass legs also help him out a lot too)

    • @eamparbeng
      @eamparbeng 8 лет назад +1

      very much true. What you said was proven when he ran 9.63 seconds back in London coming from the back of the 8 man field

      Usain Bolt has a decent start and for any 100m race, the start is vital. It's a little different for Bolt because he is able to pull away at the end with his stride.

      Did you watch the video? Because his long legs slow him down in the start.
