Bolt has to work 2x harder out of the blocks, especially the first 20 meters...but when everyone hits 60 meters, that is when having long legs is an advantage for striding.
dee ice You think so? So please explain to me, why is it that the other top sprinter's in the world today that are Usain's height are unable to use their long legs to run the speeds that Usain use to run? All of those 6'3" - 6'5" sprinter's that are significantly taller than, let's say for example, Christian Coleman at 5'8", who is much faster than those tall guy's, can't even come close to the speeds of even Coleman. Please explain that to me? The fact is, Usain Bolt isn't fast bc he was tall, he was extremely fast bc of how his coach trained him, his stride frequency & more importantly his incredible power in his legs & hips that created his incredibly powerful foot strike that propelled him forward from foot to foot like all the other fastest men ever before him. Not bc his legs were long or bc of his height. In fact, Yohan Blake, Usain's training partner ran the fastest any man has run in recorded history, when he ran that 19.26 200 meters. Yes faster than Usain's 19.19 but, Yohan had one of the worst starts in history bc of his reaction time. So what was realized is, had Yohan reacted around the same reaction time that Usain did in his world record 19.19, he would have ran around a 18.99, that's how fast Yohan ran that day. Not even Usain has run that fast before. And Yohan is 5'11". Again, please explain that one?
@@BreuckelensFinest because the other tall sprinters can't produce his incredible power. But, speaking in general, having longer legs allow you to make longer steps, and if you're able to maintain an incredible frequency, like bolt does, then you go faster than shorter athletes that take shorter steps in almost the same time. Bolt starts slowly because it takes more time for him to have a good frequency, but when he reach his maximum speed no one can beat him. Of course only if you are Bolt you can do something like that, because otherwise it's hard to recover the advantage a short athlete has gained to you in the first 30-40 metres of the race.
@@BreuckelensFinest you also understand that bolt be fatigue at those championships running 6 races in a couple of days.
