This tune is just the epitome of what being in the middle of a rave was like, everyone is there together on an enchanting journey through time and space….. still makes the hairs on the whole of my body stand on end as the track progresses and grows like a ghostly entity
This was the best tune if you were just coming up on the E buzz! They used to play this 1st tune at one place we went. I think so anyway it seemed that way. 😂 Even taking just speed at the club this was such a great buzz.

One morning, 28 years ago, I drove by car to my company where I was doing my apprenticeship. At that time, i never reallly heard electronic music. I was more into German HipHop. Suddenly this song was on the radio. I was flabbergasted, i was stoked. Immediately this song felt like a new door of (music) consciousness was opening. Today I still know exactly where on the street it was. It changed my (music) life.
I remember watching Vanilla Sky in 2003 for the first time because I missed it in theatres and that track has been on my mind since then. Back then the Internet was very primitive and the only way you'd know the name of a soundtrack was through a real sound conisseur and now with the tap of a button trough Shazam or SoundHound and the name of the song is revealed. Times have changed indeed. I do certainly miss the old times. Good times indeed.
I saw that movie for the fist time a couple of months ago while I had the flu and that scene was so out of this world. I haven't done drugs in almost a decade and I'm not going to touch them again, but it sure felt like I was on something. That whole movie is a trip and I love it.

This track is genius because it takes you on a continually uplifting journey without actually getting anywhere, (if that makes sense!) you're kind of expecting another huge baseline to drop but it never comes. I was fortunate enough to see Underworld live 3 times in the 90s. The set they did at Homelands '99 in Winchester was one of the best I've ever seen, the atmosphere in that tent that night was phenomenal and will stay with me forever. What with everything that's happening in the world right now and the likelihood they'll never be raves like that again, I appreciate more and more that memories like that should be truly cherished.
Was camping under brighton pier less than a month ago as me n my partner had gone down for a few days to see a guy called gerald play. Earlier that day heard this time in the distance and thought It was the drugs....then realised underworld were playing live at the marina down beach with the light show flashing in the horizon. One of the most trippiest songs to hear in the distance while simultaneously realising underworld was smashing it down the road in earshot. Heard every song they played. But this time in particular was the defining one which made the surreal moment just that extra bit special. Trippiest song to come to that realisation to be playing in the distance. Was confused as fuck through the entire thing trying to comprehend how I didn't hear before that underworld were playing. Felt honoured to hear there entire set before seeing a guy called gerald at system 6.0. Amazing.

Driving down to banbury a couple of weekends ago . Just me & my 19 year old daughter. Just hit the M40 and I banged rez on the car stereo a wound up the base & volume. She's never heard this track before but knows when she's in my car there's more than likely gonna be some classic dance , house or indie tunes on the journey. She just sat there with a blank look on her face in total silence all the way thru the track ( which is highly unusual ). At the end she looked at me & said I feel like I've had an out of body experience. When I told her how old it was she didn't believe me. No way, that must be fairly recent she replied. It's now on her play list. She's even said that she's envious that I got to grow up during the 80's , 90s & early 2000's. ( I left school in 84 ).

@TheFallsCapone why was it hard to mix on vinyl out of curiosity?
@TheFallsCapone ah okay, interesting to know!
I never had any trouble mixing it on vinyl... still don't.. in fact it's great to cut in the riff into other tunes . its all about being creative.... not all tunes are kick drums and claps for 32 bars!!!
2024…. And still goosebumps all over after so many times ❤
Classic techno tune... love it!
absolute love that tune even after those years i'm listening it with chills on the body
Seminal track, never gets old and always sounds new.
remember raving to this along time ago.ageless, remarkable piece.still sounds fresh as it was in 93.
Such an amazing band and track, had also the pleasure to hear it in Berghain on a late Sunday evening (Marcel Fengler played) and it was simply great. Music can take you really in a different level, this is exactly the example.
This track brings some much joy. Still get the tingles and fuzzies from this.. it’s the best to ‘let go’ too. Thank you for all the good times of sweating it out and blissful moments connected to the art of Underworld! 🫶🏼
When you're 40 seconds in to a 10 minute song and it's already making your hair stand on end...
I spent what it feels like a lifetime searching for this song. I heard it once before, but I never could trace a memory to it.... this song, I feel, is timeless...
One half of your brain recognizes how much thought and work went into this, the other half only sees a flying fairy turning the world around you into Wonderland.
Best dance tune ever, nothing else comes close
Absolutely 💯 spot on.
眠る時、夢に向かう音楽だと思う。
When I sleep, I think it's music to my dreams.
A stunning piece of Art disguised as music
