    I have a 2023 Baltic grey GJ-L with the high altitude package and it looks sporty as hell. I love the look. The grey kinda blends it in with every other vehicle. Making it look like a normal lower trim, but it’s the highest 😂. Also it has the V8. Loving that engine. My favorite part of my car.

    Got 3.6 Liter V6 Overland. In cities, I usually get 18-19 MPG while 23-24 MPG on highways when we have filled each square inch of the vehicle. We have already clocked 14k+ miles and have loved it so far without any mechanical or electrical issues.
    I still see some very old Jeeps plying on the road so not sure about the reliability issues. This is second Jeep and have been a satisfied Jeep loyalist so far.

    I have an 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with an 5.7 hemi engine with 220,400 miles with most of the original parts and the color is Jeep green metallic it's looks more like an Hunter green went it's cleared up and waxed too it's my frist jeep and i do take very care of it and just about have it for 5 years as of most this model the inside door handle covers are made of very cheap plastic and once they get old they brake and you have to either roll down the window and use the outside door handles to get out and it's an death trap and I known that some of you had this type of model at one time or another and if you ever get in accident like an on coming head on collision or go into water you and your passengers can't get out and it had never been once an recall of any kind of this model from 2005 to 2010 and Chrysler and now stellantis have known about it besides all of that it's a great vehicle but I wish that stellantis would have kept the 5.7 hemi engine for all Jeep and let the customers decide which engine they want it because they're the ones are buying them I don't know about the Europeans but here in the states whoever heard a turbo powered Jeep unless it's a diesel true Jeep people ain't going to settle for anything less gas range might suck in city but it's great on the highway and off roads too that makes its an Jeep their have of history an making as the first Jeeps was made in Baton Pennsylvania hoping I'm spelling the place right as the original jeep was named after general purpose GP for short and that's how we got the Jeep and some people think it came from Popeye's imaginary friend Eugene the Jeep so is All American and the rest tried to copy for almost 80 years or more it's right up there with the Chevrolet suburban because they came out at the same time with the jeep in the time and jeeps came an very long way in history and only a true Jeepster know this
    It has gotten me from Tampa, Florida to Bronx, New York and Columbus, Georgia if you take care of it and give it a lot of love your Jeep will take care of you too

    Why does everyone complain about the age of the engine and how unrefined it is. Yes that engine has been around for sometime and it's had some minor changes. But really after the kinks where worked out it's proven to reliable and durable for the most part. Even if they put in the older 3.8l it would be fine for most people there is a speed limit. What would be the point of a huge investment in a new designed V6 that could potentially be a failure for a couple more HP. Most customers would be happy knowing they have something that don't need to worry about failures.

      Because people are ageist. Reality is it will be far more reliable and durable than a hybrid, EV, or diesel. Higher complexity = higher unreliability and less operating life.

    The cost of these vehicles is just ridiculous. My wife’s 2019 Summit tipped out around 57,000.00
    78,000 for this vehicle makes no sense. My wife’s car was an affordable alternative to an Acura, Mercedes, or BMW… with an emphasis on affordability.
    This costs as much as a BMW or Mercedes without the cache… not thanks. If you want one buy one that is used, the depreciation on these is crazy.
    The Inline 6 will help make this more competitive… but it needs to be in everything except the lowest trims.

    • @travismurray7312
      @travismurray7312 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@naveenthemachine exactly...you're making my point for me... my 85k 2023 GCL Summit Reserve uses real leather, real stitching, real wood, premium components like in the speakers, has more tech (nanny cam, massage seats, night vision, passenger screen, rearview mirror screen, more parking cameras, etc) than my 105k 2022 RR Sport did. The engine is bigger, has better acceleration and more towing capacity, the car has more space and oh, it actually has a third row. So what I'm saying here is that the GCL has as good or better materials, (design is subjective - I prefer both cars in different ways), better tech, better features, comparable comfort, and more capable handling and performance. What it doesn't have is a Land Rover nameplate. I'll admit, when I bought the RR, I bought it because it DID have the Land Rover nameplate, and I wanted people to know that I'd arrived. I realize now though that he GCL does most everything the RR did for a better price, and it can carry all my kids.

      @travismurray7312 8 месяцев назад +1

      It's not an easy swap.. For an 'all boxes checked' top level trip GCL, you'd pay something like 85k. For that price, you're not yet at the top trim level of a Yukon. and you're not getting much of what you'd get in the GCL. Namely, certain tech items like a passenger screen (gimmickly, but good for watching kids), nanny cam, massage seats, 4WD, etc... Then if you just wait for a year-end sale, you can get an all options checked top-level trim car for a major discount.

    Wow 77k for a jeep that is not a Wrangler (even for which spending above 50k is stupidity). If you are lucky you could get 2 years in this without any issues. Japanese auto makers may not sell flashy cars but what they offer is reliability. Again this is not a luxury or a car that has proven reliability factor. No thanks!! Night vision is nice….give a heat signature from the exhaust….for the idiots out there who don’t know or care that ALL lights are required at night..
    The odometer and cruise set speed are very hard to read….font to small and very bad on contrasting colors.
    The bad contrast is a fairly common theme among the entire vehicle and getting to be a problematic among all vehicle manufacturers. At least have an option for driver to have a few contrasting color themes/options.
    2nd row center is a big thumbs down for owner not being able to remove. During road trips I actually prefer to have the area between the seats as a place to set my dogs bed, so he can actually lay down and stretch. On final thought on the 2nd row center console…..if they are not making it removable, at least hollow out the upper portion to make usable storage space….
    Have tied the rear seat entertainment yet but another thumbs down for owners to be able to remove or at least remove the screens. I don’t have children and never had front passenger for major road trips, much less a rear seat passenger. Scout is my only road trip rear seat passenger.
    I would prefer to be able to remove the screens and brackets and set aside for trade in and reduce the …”prying eyes” and also reduce the temptation to break into vehicle.
    As for the Hurricane engine, I would think MY2025….probably want to get some more real time date and “field testing/customer feedback of the engine in smaller scale before potentially sending a “Lemon” engine to the entire fleet of trucks and SUV’s…with more testing in the 2.0 model , I would also think that the 3.0 TT6 could make it into at least higher end models, Challenger/ Charger, Chrysler 300 anyone?
    Wireless Charging pad needs definite redesign:programming…..holds phone fine but a few noteworthy items.
    A. WC charging indicator bulb is WAY wAY too small. Bulb is hidden by the subject phone might work perfectly without the case,..but I am not endangering my phone because some idiot wants to save .07 cents on a larger more visible bulb.
    B. Wireless charging compartment is way too big.. The major problem for me at least and I would suspect that some viewers have thought that about this problem. The other danger a front seat occupants probably have a natural instinct to place whatever item in the WC compartment and not think about it…..danger comes in as people place metallic items…phones, key fobs , anything metal….I realize that chances are remote but could happen…ether short out the WC pad, phone or possibly both. Even with lid, still a risk.
    Overall good technology, design and engineering…..design is modern without going overboard in styling.
    I will miss the HEMI but, I have a Charger Daytona as my HEMI fix.
    If you by chance come across a JGC or JGC-L with a HEMI….grab it. “The classic…subject to inventory and once gone they are …..”Gone”
    Just my thoughts!!

      For 70k, I'd like to see any 'luxury' brand give everything that's in a GCL Summit. Even more of a challenge to find anything that gives you what a Summit Reserve gives you for the price. Are they expensive? Yes. But for what you get, they're definitely cheaper than BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc... For example, the only 3-row option from BMW, the X7, starts at 82k without ANY of the options and tech (HUD, air suspension, v8 engine, premium sound system, nanny cam, night vision, massage seats, rear sun shades, passenger screen, etc) that's in a GCL Summit Reserve that would cost 82k total. They're not even close when both are optioned similarly, and if you'd prefer to buy the base BMW for 82k over the optioned GCL for 82k because, 'well the BMW is a luxury car,' then we can admit that you're buying it for the name only and not really for the 'luxury'.

      @@travismurray7312 Couldn't agree more! Everyone's always like oh that's in MB, BMW territory, yeah that X7 would be nice but if you're buying (let's be real most people lease these things) a base model of a car that costs this much you're only in it for the brand name which is kinda sad. . Also, I'd love to see anything in the compset (Land Rover being the exception) do what this can off road while still be a comfy highway cruiser...Even on the crappy all seasons the GC would crush pretty much every mainstream (Telluride) or luxury SUV (X7) off road. The GC is not trying to be anything it isn't they could've made it a watered down crossover but now they're taking the American Range Rover route and it does a damn good job of it!
