    Love your videos! Had the Creatista Plus which I loved and decided to upgrade to the pro after watching your videos. It’s a great machine and do agree that the froth is a little less frothy, but really like the separate hot water feature & Americana option. Also, that you can save your own drink creations. It does give you the option to create a name under the milk froth, but it will change when someone else uses the milk froth in your saved creation or visa versa. So I will have to remember to check the settings just when using the froth alone. Doesn’t do that with the other saved creations. Still a wonderful machine & thank you again for taking the time to familiarize us with these items with your videos. 👍🏼

    Buy yourself a jam sample jar (30g).
    When you've completed your milk froth, place the jar under the milk froth wand, and let it purge. Before it completes, raise the wand, empty the jar and put it back, every time you interrupt the purge cycle it will continue to run when you put the jar underneath. Do that as many times as you need to to see that the water being purged runs clear (normally about three times). job done.👍😎

      Good choice! I personally felt the froth from the Creatista Plus was a little less airy so might work for your needs, though some have mentioned the steam wand has broken after time, so might be worth checking long term reviews on that. I also like the Barista recipe maker for flat white milk so might be worth watching a few of our videos of that machine. Think we made a video of a flat white with that machine. Hi first time commenting on one of your videos been following you for a few weeks. I have only ever drank Coffee drinks, can’t stand cold drinks or Tea. Since watching your videos we have purchased the Vertuo Plus my partners machine and a Lattissima Touch which I think is a lovely little starter machine for us milky coffee lovers. Within a week of this machine we have splurged an treated ourselves to the Nespresso Creastia Plus and we are in love lol.
    My only wish is they now bring out a Creastia style machine that takes the Vertuo pods as I do feel the styling of these machine is lacking to say the least. Even better they bring out a machine that can take both style of pods in a Creastia style machine.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  2 года назад +1

      Thanks so much for commenting, always love hearing subscribers thoughts on the machines. Yeah the Vertuo machines do look a bit bulky and plasticky don’t they and would be great to have a Vertuo machine with a steam wand. Totally agree too that a machine which takes both types of pods would be the dream but I’d imagine it would be quite expensive to have pump pressure and centrifusion going on in one machine. Be interesting to see what Nespresso release next machine wise 😅 Glad you like your Creatista Plus 👍🏼

    If you had filled up the capsule containers and put them back in the machines you would have needed to take at least 3 capsules out of each for it to fit. Plus they make take perhaps even one less than that to ensure the capsule lever can be depressed. Anyway, great reviews and now have difficulty in deciding between the Creatista Pro and the Barista as my next purchase. Have been a Nespresso member since 23/12/98. One way of getting cheaper machines every year is to cancel your subscription after one year then sign up for another subscription. This is something I would never do but a Nespresso Boutique staff member suggested it!

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 года назад

      Yeah good point, they don’t always fall like a Tetris game do they 😅 You had me intrigued so just checked and managed to get 14 in tho plus and 17 in the pro (just) but in reality with the way they fall and as you say the lever, it will be less. Cheers for bringing that up. Wow you are a long time member, are you at ambassador level then? Think the machine subscription is 24 months now so something to watch out for.

    Longer time to make 2 cappuccino in the US might be due to the lower voltage of their mains (110V opposed to 240V UK) which means the water takes longer to heat.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 года назад +1

      Hi. Couldn’t resist making them again just then actually and I’d say definitely the creatista as you can put as much milk as you like in the jug to fill your glass (with the barista it might overflow if you try to put more than the recommended in which makes a pretty small drink) you can control the froth level if you do want more or less froth but it’s good on the standard setting, and you also don’t need to buy a separate Nespresso machine to brew the coffee. If you want to see both being made you can check out our creatista plus unboxing and the barista vs aeroccino 3 vs aeroccino 4 videos we did as made them on those vids. Hope this helps and thanks, glad you like them 😁

    We have a Creatista plus at work, and when I make a cappuccino it asks mes to run the coffee, then the milk, then it asks me to run the coffee again so it uses the same pod twice. Is it faulty or is this normal? Does it do this if you have the coffee set above the dotted line?

  • @janekelly1468
    @janekelly1468 2 года назад +2

    Love the comparisons. I'm a Barista and was cringing at the milk being put under the wand and not being heated immediately. Cappuccino milk needs to be poured from the side of the jug not the spout. That way you get the foam/froth that defines a cappuccino against a latte. Its the only coffee to be poured this way. Think I'm going to go with the Plus as I'm the only big coffee drinker in the house

    I think it’s best to buy it under a subscription - as the money you spend on the subscription (eg £55 or £70) you get to spend that amount on coffee - so basically the machine is free. I spend around £55/mth on coffee - but I’m going to get the pro at £70/mth. I’ll then still spend £55 a month on coffee and keep the remaining £15/mth in my account. After the 2year subscription I’ll have £360 in my acc - so will just start spending that. So I think if you can afford a £70 - it seems like the better value.

It can be done by just pouring the espresso and hot water separately (we have a video on the channel where we made one on the Creatista Pro and one on the Essenza Mini) but definitely nicer to have the preset coffee option on the Pro.

    Couple more questions . . . 1) Are you able to program drinks with multiple shots of espresso or will you have to run a separate "espresso" for that 2nd shot? 2) If you are just doing hot milk with no (or little) froth, can you go above the "max" line in the jug for more volume of milk? Thanks, in advance! Great channel! I've learned so much!

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 года назад

      Thanks, glad the videos have helped! As far as I'm aware you can't program extra shots of espresso into a drink as it stops automatically each time to allow you to put a new pod in for the second shot. With the second question, I'll try it the next time I make a coffee and either come back to you here or include it in a video as planning a Cretaista Pro one soon 👍

    I’ve had a few machines over the years from Nespresso. I got a Creatista Pro end December 2020 on their subscription plan which is extremely good value. Unfortunately the machine failed and stuck half way through descaling. It was 31 days old so it was replaced. We weren’t very happy with the actual machine though. Coffee’s were good but you had to continually take the milk steamer nozzle apart and go through the on screen cleaning process. You could do that then leave the machine, make coffee an hour later and you had to clean the nozzle again before making the coffee. This happened frequently. We have to descale I less than 15 days from new (water hardness set correctly) Nespresso told me to run it through descaling with just water as it shouldn’t be asking to do that so soon. At the end of its life (31 days!!) the steamer nozzle wouldn’t work properly. I thought I’d run it through the descale and that’s when it permanently stuck on descale! Nespresso collected it and sent out another brand new one. This one lasted a week!!! It asked me to clean the nozzle one evening after making a coffee. Clean complete , switched it off and went to bed. Wife hit up and tried to make a coffee. She had to clean the nozzle again! Then it half made a coffee and said clean the nozzle. Basically it wouldn’t move past the “clean nozzle” instructions and wouldn’t clean the nozzle either. I’ve cancelled my subscription now and am actually waiting for someone to contact me and collect the machine. Shame really but I couldn’t trust the machines anymore, I think I was lucky they went wrong whilst Nespresso were willing to replace them otherwise I would have been stuck with a faulty machine. Would be interested to know how long you’ve had your Creatista Pro and whether yours has been reliable or temperamental etc??

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 года назад

      Hi there, we've had it since the unboxing we did in July (off the top of my head). Had no issues with descaling or the nozzle so sounds like you may have been quite unfortunate to have problems with 2 machines. We are actually on our second machine now though as we had an issue with the casing and tiny spots of rust beginning to show up. Nespresso took it away but due to the part being out of stock they sent a new one out and happy with it so far. If they do end up sending another one out then I hope you have a better experience.

    Hi🙂, I appreciate your informative videos. can you fill a cup with hot water to make tea? I am hoping to get rid of my kettle and replace it with a creatista so as to avoid a cluttered worktop space.
    Also can you use the steam wand without having to activate the coffee extractor first? as I like to drink heated milk with honey.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 года назад +2

      Hi there, the answer is yes to both but should probably give some extra info. The milk is not a problem at all, as both the Creatista Plus and Pro have a hot milk only setting. For making tea, the pro has a dedicated hot water button on the touch screen display but you can get hot water from the Creatista Plus too by just leaving the pod out (be sure to close the pod lever though). What I would say is the water won’t be anywhere near as hot as your kettle but - from when I’ve tested in the past - I actually found that the Creatista Plus is hotter than the Creatista Pro. The water from my kettle comes out at around 90 degrees centigrade vs about 70 on average from a Creatista. Pro a little less than 70, Plus can get a little hotter. Hope this helps a bit.
