To me it's a bit misleading to wait so long to finish the drink on the Plus. They both finished the shot at the same time, so what stopped you from pressing the button on the top to start the milk?
My thoughts exactly. The plus says "start milk" or something like that in the display. It would have given a much more useful idea of the difference between the two machines.
I saw that for two capsules for the latte, once the first capsule of coffee is dispensed, one the top lever to drop the capsule and add a new one… during this process, the milk does not heat and froth until the second capsule off coffee is added to the latte?
Thank you so much for the comparison! You've convinced me that the Pro is the better option for us. I didn't use your link to buy because I don't live in Europe.
i have the Plus. And i use the milk steam function to heat up water, u only need to do it 1.5X for the water to BOIL. (You do need lift the milk jug a bit so it doesn't touch the temperature sensor at the bottom so it doesn't stop the steam. Or u can just fold one sheet of paper towel to put it under the jug to block the contact like i do.)
Great comparison video! I purchased the Pro and my machine does not make espresso and heat / froth milk simultaneously. It does this in sequence (just like the Creatista plus). I did a little research and discovered the reason has to do with the different Voltage used in the US that limits this functionality. It’s not a dealbreaker but, I would be curious to hear if anyone else ran into this “issue” with the Creatista Pro?
Crystal, Thank you very much for the comparison between the Nespresso Plus and the Pro. I have watched several videos about the different types of expresso machines and your video was much better than most of the others. We bought our Nespresso, Creatista Pro on Amazon for $637.46. Ordered it on November 27, 2023, and it was delivered three days later on November 30th. We have been experimenting with it for a few days now and like it very much! However, I’m still not sure how to list my own drink in the menu. I know you said that you go to settings, but when I did, I still couldn’t figure it out, I will give it another try. It would have been helpful if you had gone through the process of how to name your own drinks. Updated 4-5-24; Also, You mentioned that the Pro heats both the water and the milk at the same time. Thay may be true in the United Kingdom, but not in the United States. I think that since we only have a 120-volt system in America it can't handle heating both sides at the same time, so it just does one side of a time. Just as a suggestion you might consider doing a Descaler video. Thanks for making such a great video!
Great comparison. We have the plus and it's great. I don't think the upgrade would be worth the extra cost for us. I quite like having to press for milk after the coffee has been dispensed.
Good review, but the difference in time saved by brewing coffee and steaming milk at the same time is minimal. The milk takes 1 to 1.5 minutes to steam anyway, so all you're saving is the 15 seconds or so needed to brew separately with the Plus.
Fantastic comparison! I’m definitely leaning towards the pro version now! Is there a huge difference in electricity requirements? The fact it has a separate water dispenser is a really nice feature to me! My mother always makes hot chocolate mixes for the winter season and I can see using the hot water all the time!
I’ve been trying to decide which one to buy and I do like the pro model better even though it’s much more expensive. I really like the fact that it froths milk at the same time. I want the hot water dispenser as well as I’m the type of person who would add that to my coffee and the pro has that option. I really like the screen on top which is a touch screen. I’m going to buy the pro model as it’s currently on sale for 30 % off the retail. Thanks for the comparison video.
Great video and review, it allowed me to finally make a clear decision on which machine to purchase, being the only coffee drinker in my house the Plus will be perfect for me!! Thank you!!
My wife bought me the plus from John Lewis for £319 ( stainless steel) and absolutely love such a consistent coffee not had a bad one yet, I had a dualit coffee machine before but such a pain cleaning it afterwards I.e discarding coffee grinds and cleaning the milk wand , this machine as made it so much easier to do , faster then boiling the kettle and making an instant rancid coffee, the pro looks good but to me personally not worth the extra cost
Planning with Crystal to be fair I like anything from 9-13 range all good for cappacino and latte and 4range for espresso, I seem to enjoy ispirazione Italians and Kazaa , only had it since 10th of April really missed coffee shop coffee so my wife thought it would make a great present and she wasn’t wrong , I just wished I bought a nespresso machine before buying the the dualit don’t get me wrong the dualit was well made and looked good but just doesn’t touch this machine in ease of use and taste. I did enjoy illy coffee but found out you can now buy them as a nespresso pod so might give them a try
Very helpful video , thank you so much , i want to ask about the “milk frothing only “ option in both , and i have a question about the milk steamer if there is an option to open and close it manually to clean it from any milk residue
What is the milk capacity? When you say it can make milk for two coffees at once, are they only small coffees? Do you need to wash the milk jug if you need to use it again straight after to make more milk? Thanks
The max level of the milk jug marking is 250ml, this then froths up to 350ml-450ml volume - dependant on the setting you use. I find this enough for 2 decent size coffees. You don't need to wash the jug if you are going to use it immediately after. Hope that helps
Great demonstration of the differences between the Pro and the Plus. One thing that may add to the advantage of the Pro is in making an Americano. I have been taught by my Italian friend that an Americano is made by pouring an Espresso into a cup of hot water. Thus the separate hot water dispenser is a plus.
Great comparison. Thank you. I have the plus and there is always room for improvement! Automation is the name of the game. The touch screen on the pro is nice too. You payz your price. The plus is a great machine if you are not in a hurry! Many thanks again.
I like the plus . I like tea made from kettle because I boil ginger smashed . Cloves .. or cardamon ..or mix some fresh herbs ... sage kettles are see through and looks nice.... when I get cold and cough these herbs help me instead of antibiotic .... there fore I would buy kettle and coffee maker .
Thank you for the great comparison I got the Pro - cause I did not pay for it… Nespresso has the 1€ offer with a coffee/ accessories subscription for 12 month but I would also only choose it! Why the pro: - water out for getting a „Long Black“, Americano or heating the cup - milk and Coffee simultanious - the touch screen Not important - 2l water tank - 18 capsule container The bad - bigger size - still no easy automatic perfect milk foam (on both).
Hi Crystal, great review. I have both machines at the moment. Cannot get the pro to froth milk to a more dense consistency, it is always very airy any suggestions ? THANK YOU. Irene
The biggest difference between the two are the pro has two boilers hence the ability to do coffee and milk simultaneously whereas the plus is a single boiler, and must do coffee and milk one at a time. Dead milk wand on the plus is a very common issue based on google reviews, you hardly find any complaints of the same issue on the pro.

Hi, great video. Is there any way I could make the Lungo coffee a longer cup? I like a mug of coffee, without a lot of milk, but don't want to also put the kettle on, when I have a nice coffee machine. Many thanks.
You don't have to wait at all. That's the only thing I didn't like about the review. You can't actually tell how much time is saved and it makes it seem like the Plus takes a really long time to make a drink. I wish she would have pressed the start button immediately for a better comparison.

So, so, so helpful! Thank you so much Crystal! After 7 1/2 years using my old Nespresso DeLonghi, it broke down, which brings me to your vid. This video was so helpful in letting me know that the Nespresso Creatista Pro is a better fit for me than the Plus. Thank you again!
Hi Crystal, how hotis a finished drink when selecting the hottest milk temperature please? I find with the vertuo machines my finished drink is just not that hot. Thanks
Excellent comparison, thank you so much! Your Plus machine looks like brand-new! Please share what cloth/liquid you use to keep them in this wonderful condition 🙏 Thank you!
Thanks for your great video .I like pro but I like white color which is only available in plus model.now can't decide go to pro or plus in white as I feel the steel finish is hard to keep clean :(
We’ve had the Nespresso Creatista Plus for a few years and love it. Lately though, we’ve been getting the “clean the nozzle” message a lot, even though it’s been cleaned. Anyone else having this problem?

I like the feature on the pro allowing to do both things at once but aesthetically I like the look of the plus better, it’s cleaner looking. I got the plus. Thanks for the great information.
Thanks for the reviews part 1 and part 2 and the tea part. The pro is a really nice but i bought the Plus model today, mainly because of the price differences and the pro is not available here at this moment. The major difference that i wish the plus had is the option to add your own drink to it.
Planning with Crystal Thanks, well we have it several day’s now and received about all the flavors from Nespresso just so we know what we like. Great machine, makes hot coffee and using whole milk or soya milk will create nice milk texture and foam. Thx for the reviews, we really like it so far, it makes a great tasting coffee without all the work.
wow! absolutely awesome brilliant amazing video. thank you so much for taking the time to make it. goes into great detail and very thorough. extremely helpful. thank you... ps I love your nails... what colour is that?
Would the pro automatically start the Milk heat/froth without being prompted? Can I turn this off if say I don't want this option switched on while making straight Espresso?
Yes it will automatically heat the milk if you have selected a milk drink (like a latte) if you want an espresso, it will automatically just dispense the coffee.
I’m looking to get one of the two but still struggling to decide even after watching the video. I drink a lot of double espresso and flat white so tempted to get the pro but I’m not sure if it’s worth it
Hello Crystal, I bought the Creatista Pro and I cannot find how to save my own drink with the preferences and your name like you showed us in 9:22 Could you please let us know how you did it? or anybody else who found this menu?
Once you have amended the settings of a preselected drink a little blue + appears in the top left corner which allows you to add the drink to your preferences. The + will only appear when you make a change to the settings of the drink (i.e. coffee temperature/milk froth etc)
Thanks for saving me money! I love the touch screen on the PRO but that's the only thing I prefer over the PLUS, so that alone is not worth the extra cash.
Thanks for the video but I have a question about the dimensions. You can only just find that the depth of the pro is 43cm. How do you measure this? Is the little thingy at the top of the water tank included? What's the depth from the front of the footprint to the back? I want to put it on a casule holder that is 40.5cm deep. Thanks!

Great machine, makes hot coffee and using whole milk or soya milk will create nice milk texture and foam. Thx for the reviews, we really like it so far, it makes a great tasting coffee without all the work.
had my pixie for 11 years without problems, but I'm a bit tempted to get the Creatista
thanks from turkey for the good comparition
Such a great review and comparison. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
wow! absolutely awesome brilliant amazing video. thank you so much for taking the time to make it. goes into great detail and very thorough. extremely helpful. thank you... ps I love your nails... what colour is that?
What size of cup do you use to make cappuccino?
These are the cups I use www.nespresso.com/uk/en/order/accessories/original/view-cappuccino-coffee-cups-new they have a capacity of 180ml.
Thank you that helps a lot- goin for the Pro!
I drink a lot of double espresso and flat white so tempted to get the pro but I’m not sure if it’s worth it
How many ounces of milk can the jug hold at “max” fill line?
If you want to make an americano on the plus machine you can also steam water.
Hi Crystal
How did you set the pro to create your own drink?
Hello Crystal, I bought the Creatista Pro and I cannot find how to save my own drink with the preferences and your name like you showed us in 9:22 Could you please let us know how you did it? or anybody else who found this menu?
Once you have amended the settings of a preselected drink a little blue + appears in the top left corner which allows you to add the drink to your preferences. The + will only appear when you make a change to the settings of the drink (i.e. coffee temperature/milk froth etc)
Great comparison from both machines made my choice very easy. Thanks
great review thanks it helped me decide which one to buy
Excellent thorough comparison.
Thank you 🙏 I just ordered my pro
Thanks for saving me money! I love the touch screen on the PRO but that's the only thing I prefer over the PLUS, so that alone is not worth the extra cash.
I'm glad it was helpful for you :)
Thanks!
Great comparison review between the two!
