    Would you rather a Nespresso machine or an all-in-one espresso machine for this price?

    • @ohhellnooooo8233

      Comparing this against a Vertuo Next Deluxe + Aeroccino Bundle at $200... comparing this against a $799 Barista Express which gets beans and does proper espresso... it's not looking good from my perspective!

      @@ohhellnooooo8233 to be honest I will agree with you I love Nespresso so much but why would I pay 800$ for a machine that it already does the same thing with the one I have already…

      This was my question in Amazon too. I don't know why one has to churn out $749 when having very limited control other than pre-programmed buttons. Plus the only pods/capsules that are available are from Nespresso and no one else. If someone has a Vertuo and a Aeroccino, what makes this machine better (When it is completed automated)?

      I just like the ease of use as opposed to a proper espresso machine. I don’t have any interest in measuring how much coffee to grind and then tamping and then cleaning the mess up. The Creatista makes everything so easy and the coffee is just fine with this machine.

    I have this same machine for the original line, but that one also has a hot water option, which is very useful for a quick cup of simple tea. Not having a water option at this price for an automated machine like this is a major oversight in my opinion.

      @@steelsteez6118 Dennis is talking about clean hot water. The nespresso Creatista Pro has this option with the original capsules. It's also good for preheating a cup if you want to, which you can't do on this model

    It looks amazing! I’m pretty sure that they’ve fixed the issues that were happening with the Next Model on this one, but I would have loved if it were automatic and still had the capability to fill the carafe. I may consider getting one. Thanks for the video 🌼

    • @AndrewOHara

      So far no issues. I had three Next machines and they all had problems so it seems they have fixed the problem!

  • @DorisR184
    @DorisR184 Год назад +10

    The major turnoffs for me are that this machine is based on the Next which is notoriously unreliable and the steam wand side looks like it's based off of the Creatista Uno which is old tech. I have four Nespresso machines so I'm definitely a fan but this is an easy pass for me.

    We have a Creatista Pro, which (judging by the price) is sort of the equivalent of this in the oldskool Nespresso cups world. But where the Creatista Pro features a colour touch screen with lots of coffe recipes like capuccino, latte machiato etc, this one only hase the standard. I'd expect a bit more convenience from Nespresso, because that's the one unique selling point of their machines and ecosystem. But it's not an ecosystem you can't get out of. I'm looking at a De'Longhi La Specialista Prestigio, which is in the same price range, and basically does the same, but you get a real bean machine. It's also automatic, but with the option of fine-tuning your brew. The only thing is that you can't quickly switch to another type of beans for one cup. But for us, we usually and mostly drink the same. I think the bean grinders are gaining on Nespresso and the convenience arguement is getting less powerful. Also, you pay a hefty price for convenience.

    I’m surprised it hasn’t a screen. For the price point I really thought it would be better. I hate that closing too. I struggle with mobility and the turn to close is a huge turn off. The press to close on the vertuo plus machine would have been far better.

    Thanks for this video -- I've been eager to see it. I like it a lot more having seen the video. The pictures that had been released before now were pretty ugly, IMO. It looks more streamlined and modern than I had expected to see, based on the pictures. This is definitely a pricey machine, but sales will be happening, and I'm sure it'll trickle down to sellers other than WS, which tends to price items at a premium. I'll keep an eye out for sales. It's definitely an aspirational lifestyle machine -- which is code for "much too expensive for me right now"!

    • @AndrewOHara
      @AndrewOHara  Год назад

      Totally agree with all that. First photos weren’t great but I don’t think it looks bad in person. Glad you think so too!
      It’s also available through Crate & Barrel but has the same price. I used my WS card and some points to ease the burden a bit but it’s so pricey overall. Hard not to just buy an all-in-one espresso machine that will grind and brew without the need for pods. But like you said, I’m sure the price will drop.

    For this price it should have 2 pumps. It's not very pretty compared to the Creatista Original which has a lighted menu screen with so many more options. That giant clunky lid latch is so ugly. I get that they're trying to stay relevant. But I wouldn't want this thing in my kitchen. It looks like a milkshake maker, not an elegant espresso machine.
