Such a sad story how those 3 dogs were just tossed out and left for dead. They didn’t even have the decency to try and locate a no kill shelter to take them to. I’m so glad that you were able to rescue these sweet dogs, and that the sad look in Fred’s eyes has finally faded. Thank you for all that you do 💜

Cindy - I'd still put it in your will to make sure the lawyer sees it's done. A friend of my sister used to live next to an old lady in an apartment complex. One day, she assumed the old lady died. Her son came to clean out her apartment, and the last thing he did was put her cat outside and then he left. He totally abandoned the cat his mother loved because he didn't want to mess with it. She ended up adopting it.

The neighbor across the way from me died a few years ago. Renovations started occurring when the house was sold. Including knocking down the garage. I remember the neighbor had some cats, and really, really horribly shitty (adult) children. When the garage came down we found out how horrible, as two of the cats were still there, living in the shed for multiple years in fear hiding from everyone until machines tore the shed down. They now live with me, and are super happy and well fed, they were SO skinny I can't believe they were alive. Covered in fleas, mud, and soaking wet with rain yet apparently indifferent to it, filled with worms, and surrounded by foreigners with no patience for animals or understanding of animal cruelty laws who would stone them on sight these critters lived holed up in the shed until the middle of the night for two years. They stayed there thinking their owner would return.

@@stevetaylor9846 they are people without relatives and friends. The doggies probably had a loving home till the owner died. What is wrong here is that the US has no organization that takes care of homeless animals and I'm not talking about HOPE FOR PAWS. Here in Germany every city/town has animal shelters that are run mostly by the city/town. You don't see stray dogs & cats on our streets like in the US and when a stray dog or cat is found it is brought to the city's/towns animal shelter. Another thing, we don't have kill shelters. The animal stay in the shelters till the animal finds a new owner or a forster family can take it.
When you own a dog you need to pay "Hundesteuer" a yearly dog tax that you own the dog. The dog gets a dog tag (it is the dog's ID) with taxnumber and a piece of paper. In my hometown the yearly dog tax for each dog is 40 € ($ 48). For cats we don't have a tax, yet.

I once knew someone who had a dog.. That dog's name was Toby.. Toby was a brown Pomeranian. The family left him out in the cold, the rain, and even when it was snowing.. He never got dog food just leftovers.. I found him in the road while driving back home.. My dad who was driving did not want him to get hurt so he picked him up and brought him home... His fur was muddy, tangled, and just a mess... At the time we didn't know who he belonged to... My mom got some dog shampoo to help clean up his fur. He also had fleas... We kept him inside and even fed him some dog food.. When we found out who he belonged to they just told us we could keep him.. We still have Toby and I couldn't ask for a better dog...

It's near impossible to adopt out three dogs into one family. I understand what you're saying from a human point of view, but for a dog... it's different. It's like taking puppies from a mother once they're old enough and re-homing them; the mother won't get depressed over it or even think about where they are, while for a human that would be excruciating. As long as they go to a new loving home, even by themselves, these dogs will just move on.

    • @PO-PANDA
      @PO-PANDA 8 лет назад +16

They aren't puppies anymore, they have bonded for years and they are brothers/sisters for life and bff. They shouldn't be separated, they will know they lost 2 other family members because they didn't get adopted together. so, you want them to lose 3 people in their lives? Keep them together!!!!

We found my pup barely weened walking on the road by himself. My stepdaughter kept him in her purse for a week before her Mother brought him in the house and showed him to me. Of course i let him stay for a few days. Tried to give him to water meter reader and at that point I had mixed feelings although he really wanted him and he had kids. I decided to keep him. It was late November in Ohio and cold out. He was on my lap every time I was home. 3 years later and 53 lbs he is still on my lap when ever I am home and my best friend.

I'm older and disabled so I have already discussed this with my son-- who will get each of my pets when I'm gone. But I think everyone should think about it, now. Because, you never know.

So sad. I can't imagine how lost & confused these 3 felt when the life they knew suddenly ceased to exist. To see them still waiting for their owners to come back just broke my heart. Before I started watching these videos, the thought never entered my mind of the importance of making sure I have somebody to take my 3 little dogs if anything were to ever happen to me & my husband. I'm blessed with a daughter that I know I can trust 100% to take my fur babies into her home if the unthinkable ever happened. The thought of them winding up homeless or in the hands of an abuser is so frightening. It brings me comfort to know that no matter what, they'll be loved & protected by somebody they know, love, & trust.

I completely agree with everything you said!! My parents have lots of pets (3 dogs, 8 cats, 2 alpacas, a horse, 3 mini-horses, a mini-donkey, 3 turkeys, roughly 20 chickens, 2 parakeets, & a finch & I would do anything for my parents & my fur & feather brothers & sisters...my sister, not so much but partially because her hubby's allergic to every animal!! I'm sure if & hopefully the big pets pass away before my parents, that they won't be getting another of that type of animal & will just have chickens (maybe) for fresh eggs, dogs, & a few cats!! They know that when they start to need help, but are NOT going to any kind of retirement home that me my bf of over 10years, our dogs, & cat will either sell or rent out my house & move in w/them to take care of them as their acreage is their pride & joy!! Regarding the situation about having to breakup the dog trio, it saddens me & I can only hope that Ricky & Fred got to stay together &/they all went to loving, caring homes w/other doggy companions!! I wish you & your family, including your furbabies many more great years together!! 💝🐶🐕🐾💞

A few years ago I decided I wanted a dog for my birthday. We found a nice old lady who had took in around 6-7 stray dogs, including a very young chocolate lab puppy. She was giving them away for free because she was struggling to care for them all.
The day we went over there to look at the dogs she found, one dog immediately ran up to our car and jumped on us and wagged her little nub of a tail. A mutt that resembles a greyhound and a Dalmatian. It was an immediate connection. I played with every dog there, but no other dog compared to her, so we took her home with us. The old lady had named her Jasmine. We kept the name.
She doesn't bark or bite, she's extremely friendly, she's House trained, and was already fixed. She is also very good with not staying in the road.
The old lady we got her from didn't teach her or fix her, so she had to have had a previous owner. I don't know if the owner abandoned her, or died and was she left alone, but she's one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met and I'm so happy she's mine to love. :)

My grandfather didn't make arrangements for his cat, even though he knew he was terminal, and my uncle would have had him put down. The day before he died, I made my grandpa tell me where he wanted Tiger to go. He made me promise not to let anyone euthanize him. Even though family members tried to have Tiger euthanized, I convinced my sister to take in this 15 year old cat. 3 years later and they are still best friends.
I can't imagine knowing I was going to die for months and not making arrangements for my fur babies. I guess my grandpa just assumed one of us would take him in, but I knew better. Of course my aunt and uncle wanted to put him down as soon as their grandchild, who was way old enough to know better, got scratched when he started dragging this elderly cat around by his tail.
It's so important to think of your animal friends always, even when we are close to transitioning.

Im sorry but reading this makes me realise Im so happy to live in a socialized country where putting healty animals down is not a thing. If you dont want to keep your pets, or someone elses, you find a new home or bring them to an animal shelter. We dont have kill shelters over here btw. Why on earth are people so okay with putting an animal down. "Oh your caretaker died, well boohoo, death it is." Its a living thing, not a toy. So weird.
Same with this story of the 3 dogs. Why do people not bring them to a shelter in the first place? Why do they have to live on the streets for so long before someone does something.

But they've been rescuing dogs for a long time, and these three are now off the streets, and that's what matters. If you think you can do a better job, then rescue as many dogs as they have, and then you can be critical.

This channel makes me have hope for the human race. I’m a hardcore, lifelong animal lover and protector. I grew up in foster care, it was the best thing that ever happened to me but I trusted no one. Only animals, they were the only thing I could count on truly loving me. I’m 54 now and have spent my life paying them back. Thank you for helping these guys, they deserve to be loved.

Doug Canney...just I lost my trust to anyone, the tenant next door to stole my jewelries, even went into the shower room I am sharing with them, pushed back the curtain, good thing I sensed it and pushed the curtain back, a maniac he is and a thief, since then, owner installed a chain and bedroom lock and exit door changed, too, with duplicated keys and can no longer get in since...😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬👹👹👹🇺🇸🇵🇭
