Chris Farley is the definition of a "comedic masterpiece." Same with Robin Williams. All of the people on this list were gone too soon.
Shout out to Betty White. Although she was just shy of her 100th birthday, she did leave a mark on all of us, and she did live a wonderful life, we could never get enough of her.

    Gone but never forgotten
I forgot to mention John Candy. He was in one of my favourite movies of all time called "Who's Harry Crumb?" A lot of my generation doesn't know about this movie but I remember my Dad used to watch it all the time with my sister and I, along with another one of my favourite actors of all time, Leslie Nielsen in The Naked Gun series. When I first saw the article of Chadwick Boseman’s passing, I was honestly in disbelief. 2020 was really a dumpster fire of a year and Boseman’s death further cemented that.
I don’t mean any disrespect towards any of the actors included on this list and they are very tragic, but I felt like there are two more actors that I felt like could have maybe been included as honourable mentions.
Alan Rickman. He was a phenomenal actor. Not only did he play the iconic villain roles such as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood the Prince of Thieves, but he was also the best actor from the Harry Potter films as Severus Snape. He died on the 14th of January 2016 from pancreatic cancer at the age of 69. Rickman was dearly missed by Potter fans everywherez
Carrie Fisher. Not only did she reshape pop culture forever with her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars Original and Sequel Trilogies, she also starred in acclaimed films such as The Blues Brothers, Hannah and her Sisters and When Harry met Sally. She was also a screenwriter and script doctor for films such as Postcards on the Edge and Hook. Throughout her life, Carrie Fisher struggled with drug addiction and died on the 27th of December 2016 from cardiac arrest at the age of 60. Star Wars fans everywhere mourned Fisher’s death. Before her death, she had completed her work on Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi, with said film being dedicated to her memory. Personally speaking, Fisher’s death still hurts me to this very day.
Ray Liotta. He was most well known for playing gangster type characters in Martin Scorcese’s Goodfellas and the 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Liotta died in his sleep on the 26th of May, 2022 at the age of 67.
Helen McCrory. A classically trained actress on the stage, McCrory had a few noteworthy film and TV shows. Such as Narcissa Malfoy on the final three Harry Potter films, Mama Jeanne in Martin Scorsese’s Hugo and Polly Gray in Peaky Blinders. McCrory died from Breast Cancer on the 16th of May, 2021 at the age of 52. She had been greatly missed by her family, fans and the cast and crew of Harry Potter and Peaky Blinders.
Bill Paxton. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Bill Paxton was very prominent in blockbusters such as Aliens, Predator 2, Twister, Apollo 13 and Titanic. Next to Lance Henriksen, he was the only actor to be killed by a Terminator, Xenomorph and Predator. Paxton also starred as the main antagonist, John Garret in the first season of Marvel’s Agents of Shield. He died of a stroke on the 25th of February 2017 at the age of 61. Around the time of his death, a number of storm chasers spelled out his name in tribute to his work on Twister and the end of the Agents of Shield season 4 episode “What if…” payed tribute to Paxton. In 7th and final season of Agents of Shield, Bill Paxton’s son, James Paxton, portrayed a younger version of John Garret.
Philip Seymour Hoffman. Hoffman was well known for his many roles throughout his career in films such as Scent of a Woman, Twister, Boogies Nights, Punch Drunk Love, The Master, Mission Impossible III and the Hunger Games movie franchise. Hoffman struggled with drug addiction since his adult years and during the film of The Hunger Games Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2, Hoffman died of a acute mixed drug intoxication with the final two Hunger Games movies being dedicated to his memory.

Robin Williams left behind an incredible "laugh out loud" legacy with all the comedic things he did in numerous movies he was in. One brief, bright shining star that left us too soon was Jon-Erik Hexum. Sadly, his career only lasted 2 years but he was slated to be the next big star when his life was cut short due to an accident with a prop gun on set. He was handsome, charming, his deep voice was like no other. He was even more beautiful on the inside, the type that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was good at comedy, drama, and did many of his own stunts. He died before his 27th birthday, and sadly, he’s been largely forgotten by both Hollywood and the public. He deserved so much more.

I remember feeling a gut punch the moment I read the news and I was shocked and devastated and I felt so numb the next day after hearing the news.😢
He truly was a hero inside and out and the fact that he continued acting in movies and helping people despite battling cancer is truly admirable.
    May he Rest In Peace😢❤️🙏🕊

Chadwick Boseman and Robin Williams’s deaths were the ones from this list that shocked me the most. Especially Robin’s. I could not see him as the type of person who would take his own life. His films were a big part of my childhood growing up so you can imagine how devastating it was for me as a fan. I felt like part of me died that day. I couldn’t imagine a world without Robin Williams. What’s more sad is I never got to meet my hero. 😢
Edit: And what’s surprising is the cancer that took the life of Chadwick Boseman is mostly common in men a lot older than Chadwick was (men over 60 years old) so it’s very rare for someone of his age to get it. I only know this through my dad whose’s a general practitioner. I told him how he died and he says he thinks the cause of Boseman’s colon cancer might’ve been genetic.

Agreed. Chadwick was very brave and his death from illness was shocking. Robin was a comedian. He had a twinkle in his eyes. And, Ritter also played a crazy stand out supporting role in the 4th Child's Play film, The Bride of Chucky. It is very sad that John Ritter is gone from all of us who love his work to this day. I was moved to tears when Cameron Boyce and Paul Walker died. I got so emotional.
Hearing the song being played at the awards and (silly) Stewie Griffin said that his teddy bear is with Paul Walker. I became a fan of the Descendants movies. Hearing Mal saying I miss him, I lost it

I just couldn't believe when Chadwick Boseman died. He never looked sick so it was a hard blow! Naya Rivera what got me with her is the fact that she saved her son by getting him on the boat knowing it was going to cost her own life! Her love went above and beyond of this beautiful young mother. When I heard about Paul Walker's death I was just in shock! And Robin Williams he's definitely missed. I was so shocked to hear of Robin Williams' passing. He was a part of my childhood. When I heard about Alan Rickman, I was at work. It wasn't until I got home when I was able to cry. For a year, I couldn't watch or hear his voice without breaking down. He was a huge part of my childhood, and I still mourn his passing to this day. For Anton Yelchin, I was again at work. I made a crochet figure of him as Chekov.

Chadwick was number one for me. I am just a couple of months older than him. I remember when he made that Instagram post about donating to a charity and people were talking about him but I was like I hope he’s not sick. Maybe because I had cancer before but I was blessed that mine was early and very treatable.

Yeah, it really sucks that River,Cameron,Robin and Gilbert passed away. especially because River and Cameron both died young they had their whole lives ahead of them and they were sadly cut short, and as for Robin and Gilbert they may have both been in their 60's when they passed but they still could've had plenty of good years left.

One of the saddest lists on this channel, the death of a beloved actor or any famous person to whom the society looks up to is tragic because its always a loss for a lot of people and the specific artform whether its film music or else the person was contributing to, I especially got hit hard with the passing of Robin Williams and Brittany Murphy its the people that are the kindest and often the most fragile inside that are so dearly missed 😥

I wish they had mentioned British comedian Rik Mayall, who died back in 2014 at 56. Best known for his roles in shows like The Young Ones, The New Statesman, Bottom and more. In film he was Drop Dead Fred, and had apparently been filmed as Peeves in Harry Potter before they cut the character.
His partnership with Adrian Edmondson was legendary. I think there were some ideas for a Bottom revival set in an old age home, shame they never got there.

15:35. Watching Ducky's first appearance in Don Bluth's masterpiece "The Land Before Time" always makes me cry. Hearing that sweet innocent voice who wants to be friends is supposed to be moving but it's sad to learn about what happened to her voice actress. I still love the franchise but I still miss Judith so much.
