It just goes to show that men can get appearance shamed in Hollywood, not just women. Thankfully, these stars didn't let anyone else's opinions deter them from achieving their dreams.
Yep, quite a few comments from women here too saying they understand why except for so and so…maybe this judgment has always gone both ways 😂 interesting
A lot of young men are now comparing themselves to the superheroes they see on screen and are falling into eating disorders and going to dangerous lengths to appear "ripped". ☹️
Yeah, but the folks doing all the "shaming" against men are overlooking the REALITY of Hollywood: That men can get hired much more easily DESPITE their looks, as long as they're not trying out for the obvious "romantic leading man" standing. I mean, look at some of the GREATEST stars of the "golden age" of Hollywood. Does anyone think of guys like John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart and Spencer Tracy when the word "attractive" comes up? None of those guys were being sent scripts for "romantic leading man" (and I doubt there were many producers, directors or casting agents who got a script calling for a romantic scene and thought, "Wayne/Bogart/Tracy would be just perfect for this role") but if or when such a part came along (like Bogart and "Casablanca"), the guy could be believable, especially if the leading lady did NOT end up with him (again, Bogey and "Casablanca").

I’m surprised, Michael Keaton wasn’t on this list because he was told he wasn’t handsome enough to play Bruce Wayne, and in my opinion, he played that role very well and as he has gotten older very attractive in my eyes but then again my kids and husband say I have a thing for older white men lol For example I love me some Tim Robin, Michael Douglas, Patrick Stewart, Sean Connery, Jeff Goldblum, and my favorite Patrick Swayze lol
I think it's all one's option or taste. I think Adam Driver, Cumberbatch, and Garfield are very good-looking. Clint Eastwood may not have been my taste but his son Scott, who looks just like him, I think is gorgeous, beautiful even. The same goes for, as I like to call him Mr. Twilight, who is quite beautiful almost pretty. I feel every man on this list I consider nice-looking one way or another.

Yeah... to anyone striving to get into Hollywood don't listen to the suits when they tell you you're not attractive enough. There's a lot more that goes into attractiveness than just your physical appearance. My friend once had a huge crush on Benedict Cumberbatch but admitted he looked like an alien.
