Things may change, of course - but right now, Lovebites are the pinnacle of what the metal genre has to offer. They are miles and miles ahead of any competition. These awesome ladies dominate in every respect.
“They are miles and miles ahead of any competition.” There’s the problem with RUclips comments right there. LOVEBITES isn’t competing with anyone, and even if they were, they wouldn’t be ahead since there are Japanese rock and metal bands with larger fanbases who play in larger venues and have much more extensive tours. If you’re talking about skill, that’s something that can’t be measured, so you have no way of proving they’re more skilled than Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Galneryus, D_Drive, Wagakki Band, etc. So how are they ahead, exactly? Also, Japan doesn’t use miles as a measurement, they use kilometers.
@@PaleHorseShabuShabu your sharp reaction to just a comment to some reaction video confirms that Lovbites are on the top of the metal Everest. You should look for J-pop and idol groups if you measure the value of a band by the size of its fanbase or by the number of the light rods in a venue. Probably not miles but still a bit ahead of the bands you mentioned: because of the beauty of their music, the spotless live performance, the absence of filler songs, and the acknowledge of them that growing exponentially in the pro music circles worldwide. BTW, the whole world uses "miles" in that exprecssion, because the distance in sea travelling is still measured by marine miles right from the time when this phrase was born.
@@MichaelMukhoyan Ha ha ha, LOVEBITES fanboys are the best/worst. My comment doesn’t confirm anything. You said that they were ahead of the competition, I asked why, and your only response is subjective stuff that could be applied to a lot of bands. I love LOVEBITES, I earnestly tried to join them, but damn, the hyperbolic things that the fanboys say always make me laugh.
@PaleHorseShabuShabu Weak response IMO. Once listened to metal for over 50 years. I listen to most of the Japanese bands you mention. There's more than just music to being bought in tours etc. To my ears, Lovebites IS better than the others, and I include all the greats I loved from the 80's era of metal. But.... that's just my OPINION.
Fami is a beast on that bass! A very cute and adorable beast, but a beast none the less. LOL I ordered the DVD, I had to after watching the premier this past Saturday morning. The entirre show was off the hook! Watching Asami get emotional while addressing the crowd was so wholesome. You could just tell how happy and excited all of them were to be back playing live. I'm so in love with these ladies.
I watched the premier of this song. This is the opening song of their concert Knockin' at Heaven's Gate which premiered on RUclips a couple days ago. I love my Metal Queens 🤘. Great reaction Millie.
When i found out Lovebites meant business: 1) the modulations towards the end of their song "Liar" 2) the guitar solo + entire transition sequence in "When Destiny's Align". Those things blew me away. ❤️
Asami held and modulated that vocal for 16 seconds. The band hadn’t played on a stage in almost two years. That song is the first song Fami had ever played in front of a live audience. I’ll say that again. You just watched Fami’s first ever live song. The best bit…. I was in the audience. Fantastic reaction, I love your obvious joy and passion. Lots of hand shaking. !
Millie the bassist is Fami, she's 20 yo and the winner of the worldwide bassist hunt!! She also plays the guitar and keyboards plus she sings and writes songs!!
As always your enthusiastic shows right through to the end Millie and just to see your look of total surprise on your face and your actions said it all you have so much passion as a musician yourself and you truly appreciate great bands that you show on here and yes this band really do know how to kick butt and for you to be blown away that is wonderful to see you are one presenter who we all love to see on here because you have the greatest appreciation of music and you are a very down to earth very bubbly fine young lady with a beautiful personality keep up the great work millie you are a great ambassador for music for sure😊❤❤❤
Been waiting for your reaction to this. Awesome song and no surprise to your reaction. You have a lot more to do so I'll be watching for your next one 🤘🥁🎤🎹🎸🐺
Thank you for your reaction. All women are incredibly talented. Most people admire Midori. She's really amazing like all the others :-) But I love Miyako as much as you do :-)
Take this song and measure it against any thrash song you've ever heard from the best era of thrash, the 80's (Metallica, Slayer, Testament, Exodus, etc etc - all favorites of mine), and this will be on the top tier of that list all day every day. It is for me, and I'm all about the thrash/speed.
Quick interesting note, since you also are a musician, the misterios feeling you got, from the initial melody, it is because it was prhygian dominant and that scales gives that arabic taste to the song, which I definitely love 🤘🏽
This was Fami’s (the new bass player) first ever concert with Lovebites, and first large concert of any kind. She's 21 years old! Fami - the nuclear power cell of smiles, joy and energy! Notice Fami slaps those two bass solo sections (which the original bass player, Miho, played finger style) and the bass/drum section after the solos is a joy... Asami's look of support and delight, followed by a thumbs up to Fami. Not only did Lovebites make the perfect choice, Fami BELONGS in Lovebites. The energy is radiating from all members. Haruna's playing is incredible here and her drums sound amazing and of course M&M kill on guitar as you'd expect... but notice Miyako seems invigorated!!! She's moving around, head-banging even, more so than I ever remember seeing. "We're back!" Hell yes, you are! GO! Oh, and Asami sounds better than EVER!
Yeah i became an instant fan of Fami when she was announced. (i followed their auditions and was surprised) She is indeed a good fit. Haruna is the unsung hero for me. Doing double bass blast beats for a whole set is not a feat most drummers can do. And she's rock solid the entire time. 👍
@@pappysheart6710 The band went on hiatus and, despite how “hiatus” usually translates to disbandment in Japan, the band vowed to return. In a December 2021 twist, it was Watanabe Miyako Mi-ya who put out an announcement regarding her marriage and child birth. She simultaneously announced she is married and giving birth.
Some help. Where are you guys buying the DVD/blue Ray and cd for Heavens Gate from? Amazon dosn't carry it and a few google searches I did were fruitless.
Thanks for the reaction. Your reaction is not stereo, but mono. I hope 'The Hammer of Wrath' has convinced you that LOVEBITES are not a power metal band. 🤗Prior to the release of 'Judgement Day' (February 22, 2023) which features new bassist Fami, approximately 18% - 20% of LOVEBITES' original songs were thrash ! With the release of 'Judgement Day' (+10 new songs), the proportion of thrash songs decreased to 15% (of the total number of all original songs.). This happened because Miho (bass, backing vocals, 2016-2021) left the band, who was the author of most of the band's thrash songs. But despite this, the share of thrash songs remains high enough to call LOVEBITES a pure power metal band. And given that in addition to power and thrash metal, the band also plays speed, progressive, neoclassical metal, hard rock, classical music .... and often mixing these genres in one song .... adds a bit of symphonic metal .... It turns out heavy metal from LOVEBITES😊
