    Hi, I just changed my FEP for the first time according to your tutorial (except I used two stacked 7 x 7 x 0.5 cm pieces of packing PE foam) and it worked flawlessly, no issues whatsoever, thanks for the great tutorial, especially the pointers about the echoey voice effect at the end - this is just what I got and how i was sure that I did it right 😁 no leaks, perfect adhesion, awesome!

    It was a little bit scared by doing this but your video and explanation makes this task as easy as just unscrew and screw again!!! Just a tip. When screwing back the second set of screws, i found it easier to pinch the first hole with the tip of a pencil instead of the screw itself. That way the frame stays in it's position and allow you to screw all others making pressure. Thanks a lot...

    • @figurineslittlepeople

    • @figurineslittlepeople
      @figurineslittlepeople  2 года назад

      The sponge is needed to make sure you fep is tight enough. I do not reccomend doing it without the sponge. U can always use something if u dont have a sponge. But make sure u do not put something hard or sharp underneath because then the fep can be damaged.

    One extra beginners tip if you are a total idiot (like me!!!)
    I hadn't noticed that the two black frames are not identical. So on reassembly, I was trying to add the little screws to the wrong damn frame, and the first one didn't want to go, no matter how much I forced it.
    Fortunately, I was able to work out the stupid mistake I made. I also has a precision set of screwdriver heads so it let me recover the screw without destroying the allen key.
    Most people aren't as stupid as I was, so you can ignore this. But just in case someone is...
    Anyway, thank you so much for the video, no way would I have been able to do this without your instructions. And if I can do it, anyone can...

    Ok here goes. I dont see a reason to relevel the system because it doesnt seem like any leveling is affected here; so I have the new FEP installed thanks to this CALMING video and am going to try the first print of 10mm ACW miniatures. just one row first then more. And THIS TIME, I am going to remember to put the damn metal plate in before printing. I doubt elegoo or anyone can do anything about putting a sensor on the system that says to the user "HEY DUMBASS you need to put the steel plate in otherwise I am not going to print.."
