Yes! Seeing a review that focuses on why the camera is and what it can do is so refreshing compared to all those who comment on what they think it should have been and what it can’t do. I get it that people are disappointed that canon did not make a half-prize R that somehow would be better in all aspects but let’s be real. Thank you Gerald. (And thank you Felix for your comment.)
Great video, up to your usual high standards, Gerald (and Julie). One thing regarding handling, the buttons are very customisable. I bought an M50 purely for street photography and I have buttons set up as follows: MFn button = ISO, record button = AF mode (tracking, zone, single AF point), left button = AF single shot/servo toggle, right button = drive mode (single, high speed continuous, low speed continuous, remote/self-timer options), up button = aperture/shutter speed toggle and down button = LCD/EVF toggle. Hitting the Q button brings up the Quick Menu and always lands on the last setting changed, so mine always brings up white balance. This means I can change ALL major settings either directly or following one click of a button. 2 other things: audio levels show up on your mobile phone or tablet while recording via the Canon Camera Connect app. Secondly, I have image review turned off (we already see the image before taking it, why see it after capturing it)? So with that turned off and never using the LCD while capturing images, I never get less than 1, 000 shots on a charge. I average 1600+ shots with enough battery left to plug into my laptop's USB port and transfer images. I get 1800 shots if I do a lot of bursts. I rarely get below 1400 shots. Battery life is spectacular. To finish off, as someone else stated, the dynamic range of the M50 at ISO 100 is excellent and close to the competition. It's very easy to recover skies or very underexposed shadows. On1 Photo Raw 2019.2 brings out the most in the M50 files, but they have to be converted to DNG files first, unfortunately.
Thanks for the kind words and for sharing your thoughts. One thing I also like about the M50 ergos is the placement of the Menu button. Nice and close to the controls. Always like that. And yeah, turning off image review is huge. I do that almost automatically when I test a new camera. I was impressed by the battery life for such a tiny camera. Great points. Cheers!
@@geraldundone I tested the M50 battery life shooting video back to back (30min after 30min) a stationary object with the 15-45 IS STM (IS ON), at f/4, 1/50 shutter speed, HD 25fps, AF FACE DETECT, AUTO ISO-WB, ON SCREEN DATA NO LIMIT TIME MANUAL VIDEO MODE, and got 2h and 14min (!!)before the battery (original canon) dies on me. Can you please make a same test for the Canon R? Please? 🤔
Hands down, the most useful review and comparison of these 2 cameras. I am an M50 owner, who was contemplating an upgrade to the RP. I've decided to hold onto the M50 and upgrade to the R or something similar, when I can afford it. Thanks for a very user friendly comparison.
It took me about 3 days, with the M50, but once I figured out what I wanted to accomplish, it works great. And I love the video, for what I use it for.
Hi Gerald, i'd like to add some features that i discovered using the m50 for 6 month right now. I use it for live streaming using a dummy battery pack and connecting it via usb to the pc usin eos live view software which mirrora your screen on pc to make you take photos from the pc or even recording videos (and there is the option to eliminate every reticle so the image is plain clean). I stream using obs capturing the image of live view as a webcam and it works flawlessly 1080p 60fps (so the streaming downside is solved). To solve the aps-c downside viltrox sells for 130 $ an adapter for ef lenses which multiplies x0.71 reducing the crop factor to 1.1 and makes you gain a stop (so that noise you saw at 3200 iso get shifted to 6400 iso). Basically this camera can do the same things as the eos Rp at half the cost.
You're welcome! No it does not turn off until you turn it off yourself. @Ali Dollar I don't know why it looks choppy for you but i can assure it works well, remember to match your obs window capture resolution and framerate to the actual framerate of the camera (in my case 1080p 60fps) and remember to set the shutterspeed accordingly to the framerate you're shooting at(rule of thumb if your framerate is 60fps then set 120 as shutter speed). If you wanna see some footage recorded this way there should be some on my twitch channel "mietitwitch" (no spam intended, i'm not actually streaming anymore). Glad i could be helpful!
You forgot to mention that you can grab a speedbooster for the M50 with working autofocus from viltrox for less than 150$ gaining an extra stop of light and almost a comparable field of view. That's why I keep this camera as a backup even though I switched over to sony on my mirrorless cameras.
The RP is a great option to go full frame on the cheap if you are a Rebel user. One - you probably have an EF lens or two. Two - you already have the spare batteries. Three - no learning curve, because it's the same menu and buttons. And there are a lot of Rebel users, I guarantee you that.
You're right. I have a 77D with 3 batteries and the RP is a very tempting step into full frame. Taking the accessories into account can affect the total upgrade price dramatically! I also have the Bluetooth remote that will work with it.
I am on this position right now, I have a 700D that got me hooked to photography, the RP seem to be a non bank breaking upgrade to full frame that still allow me to keep my EF-S lenses when shooting for fun or family. Its also even smaller than my 700D, which is a plus.
I k ow this video is over 2 years old, but... I already have an M50, but I'm looking at the RP as a secondary camera. I was thinking of utilizing my M50 more as a video and vlog camera, with the RP more dedicated to stills.
Usual great job. Being a Canon user still have that dream the brain trust at Canon will wake up, stop holding back and make that perfect system many look for. Love them anyway and that has value to me. And thank you Julie for the great work you do to help the growth of this channel and help making it the gold standard it is.
Canon has been fully awake all this time, unlike its users. They just have different cameras for different purposes, so they wont give any extra video feature for a full frame photo camera (RP) or aps-c travel photo camera (m50). They wont ask you to buy a C200, but thats what they offer you if you need 2019 4k video features. Get a xt30 if so, and enjoy your 6D upgrade (RP) for photo, or move on to sony system. I opted for the first. Cheers. Nice channel & reviews.
Just watched your video on the M50. I like using the M50 enough that I sold my EOS 6D to buy the RP and its similar features. And yeah, I'm keeping the M50 for now for its compact size.
@@havey Thanks for checking out the video! My main camera is a Sony now, but the M50 is good enough that I kept all my Canon glass. Cracks me up to throw the 70-200 2.8 and lens converter on it.... talk about an odd balanced camera and lens setup!
@@useyourimaginasean Had it for about a year but 4K autofocus was making me miss too many shots. Ended up getting better video out of a m6 Mii with Sigma trio so I sold the Rp for that. I have since switched to an A7siii. RP is solid for 1080p and photography but not for 4K which I really ended up relying on.
So quite of a loaded question here - I have a 6D and EOS M100. I've been looking at the M50 & the RP. I would like to consolidate my cameras into one. Do you think the RP could replace the 6D?
good job.. i own both cameras now and this video really helped me decide to just sell my 70D and go with the RP and have the M50 as a second camera ... thank you
Outstanding commentary and review. I purchase the EOS RP about a week ago, I love it to death. I already had EF lenses so things worked out perfectly for me. Thank you for the hits and misses. LOL. By the way Canon already has a firmware update for the EOS RP. Today's date is March 10th 2019, 10:12AM. 🐢📷🐢📷🐢📷
In the ISO test however, APS-C has a wider depth-of-field sensitivity, means you can go for faster apertures without having the problem of having a too shallow dynamic range, which means you can compensate with it and can go lower ISO instead.
What about RP with the native RF lenses which are considered the best in industry. I have use the m50 and image is no way close to the RP...RP is on another level!!
@Kent Hinson RF 35mm lens $449, RF 24-105mm $849 which is not that expensive for the top of the line lens, EF 50mm $125. You can mix and match until the prices drop or 3rd parties come with glass comparable to the other RF lens for alot less...
M50 with viltrox speedbooster owner here! the setup generally works pretty good, examples can be found on my Instagram @meltyvisuals . However, the M50 sensor falls on its face in low light or at high shutter speeds. any ISO above 5000 is terrible, and you get to that number pretty fast due to the small sensor size and lack of IBIS. That's why I'm in the market for an RP or older Sony A7II/A7SII. I shoot in low light and at moving cars often.
Great review. I use to have a d300 and eventually sold it. Bought a camera since I travel a lot and did a lot of research. The m50 for its price is really good. I have the 22mm for walk around and 50mm for portraits.
Thanks for the review of both cameras. My wife uses the M50 and I would like to upgrade to mirrorless and full frame coming from a DLSR APS-C camera, but don’t have R6/R5 budget. By comparing the two, I am now able to sort of ‘guess’ what the RP will be. The point that talked to me the most (however short) was the iso comparison between the two cameras. This confirms my expectations for upgrading to full frame. So, thanks.
On point review, after this video I think I will probably get the M50 because of the 24p and the longer battery life. Happy to see my funny comment in the video, thanks for that and also (as I said) for the nice review. :)
I have use the m50 and the image quality is no way close to the RP...RP is on another level!! I can't wait to mount some rf lenses on the RP and start my RF lens collection!!
great video! I've got an M50 and was looking to upgrade, so I may just hang on a bit longer until Canon gets their shit together and gives us what we need. Cheers!
I currently have a T7i and am trying to decide between the M50 or the R or maybe even the RP. One thing that gets left out in reviews is the image quality of the smaller sensor vs the full frame one. One issue I have is I have a good selection of EFS lenses and only one EF lens. I'd have to sell all my crop lenses and purchase new ones for the full frame body. It's pure torture just thinking about it.
If your going to record alot video just get a Fuji xt3 or Panasonic gh5 or even a Sony A7iii... RP provides mind blowing studio quality protraits and stills and gaves access to RF lenses which are considered some of most cutting edge technology on market by Canon thats why I am getting the RP because I want access to the RF lenses and decent video quality which RP provides for 1300...Other systems you got to drop 3k-4k to even get a decent setup...
Hey there! I do photography and use the Canon M50. I want to upgrade though. I'm wondering if the EOS RP is a big upgrade from the M50 when it comes to photography? Will I notice much of a difference? I feel that if I want to notice a difference that I might have to jump to the Canon EOS R, however it is $1000 more than the RP. When it comes to Canon full-frame mirrorless cameras am I pretty much stuck between the RP or R if the R is my max price range? I thought about going for the RP and spending the extra money on a nicer lens? My biggest thing is that I want to see a difference in my photos when I upgrade from the M50. Will I only see a minor difference in quality if I go to the RP? Will there be much more of a difference going to the R? Any input helps. Thanks!
Awesome Content Brother… I only found this after 3 Years 😂. With the code of the EOS R being cheaper now… has your thoughts on it changed any ? Would it be worth it now or would you go another direction.
Hello Gerald, I was wondering if you would think of this to be a good idea... When you do camera reviews, could you record part of the episode with said camera. I know you have a dedicated setup for dynamic range but it would be cool to see how they compare to your normal setup. Thank you for your time and efforts
This was a great video. Only one on the internet ive seen like it apsc vs full frame with 200% image detail comparison. Would of liked to see more examples. Low light and portraits
In short, if you want a cheap smaller camera get an M50 if you want a better camera save up for a real EOS R 😅 stick a speed booster on an M50 and you've got a full frame sensor almost as well. Its a fantastic little kit and the only thing I leave the house with due to its great compactness. If I was to go back to a bigger camera I'd probably look at a 90D or used EOS R if I can afford it. I dont see any major reason to get this other than it has a slightly better grip, considering the price difference. Thanks for the review.
Really like your content. Quick, question i have a M50 and i am into street photography. Will buying an RP be a step up for me as it has eye detection AF in the servo mode. Also, can we set the min shutter speed in the Aperture priority mode in the RP?
Hi Gerald! As I've researched the Canon EOS RP Power Saving mode limits the display for a maximum of 30 minutes Display OFF Options are: 15 sec, 30sec, 1min, 3min, 5min, 10m, 30 min (respectively) Auto Power Down options are: 30 sec., 1min, 3min, 5min, 10m, Disable (respectively) You might be able to disable Camera power down but the display will still turn off after 30 mins. My question is while recording it with Atomos ninja V or plugging it up with Elgato Camlink, what happens if the display turns off after 30 mins? Will recording still continue if you press the shutter button of the camera to wake it up or will the recording in the Atomos ninja v stops and display recover options? I'm planning to buy this one to live stream or record my pc gameplays as I already have a Canon ACK E-18 AC Adapter Kit, to continuously power the camera while recording. Thank you!
It's been a little while since I tested it, but I'm pretty sure that I let the camera run for longer than 30 minutes with an external recorder to make sure it had unlimited recording. I can't say for sure 100%, because I don't remember perfectly, but I feel pretty confident that I would have noted it if the recording stopped due to the screen turning off at 30 mins. Often cameras have a detection for HDMI and ignore the screen timeout. I usually test that with every camera. I wish I could say for certain, but I truly don't remember.
@@geraldundone No worries. I'm currently using a canon m6 and when my HDMI cable arrives from Amazon (thanks to your suggestion on one of your HDMI cable videos) I'll try to test it if the display will turn off after 30 mins. Thank you very much, Gerald! Great content as always. :) cheers!
Its 2021 is this stills basically true? Im looking for my first canon DSLR in a while as a little brother to a C200/300. What about ND ?- would it be the case that Rmount has the drop in ND option while the M mount does not. Is the RP any good in crop mode - im thinking of the 18-80 lense
Does the focus peaking still work In 4K? I’d pretty much only want the 4K for some nature B-Roll so the autofocus won’t be much of an issue if I can focus manually with the peaking.
This is the second video for the RP saying there is no weather sealing, but according to canon it is and to the same degree as the 6d mark 2...confused
I have the M50 with 22mm lens. i did use the speedbooster with my l series 17-40 f4. i want to go proper full frame, so looked into the 6D mk2 vs the Canon RP.. i'm still stuck between which one i should opt for.
Your review is the 2nd one I've seen on RUclips that mentions you get he adapter for free, but I can not seem to find it listed in the box contents. I've looked on B&H, Adorama, as well as Canon's websites. All box content listings do not show the EF to EOS R adapter. Is this something that retailers are throwing in, and not officially included by Canon? I was also wondering if the adapter that's included is the one with the control ring? i figure it's the one without it, but I could be wrong.
Haha. Yeah, I thought that too. But I think the more I play with it, the more I'd rather have the RP. For the money, I mean. I'd rather save the $1000, I should say.
I think the main purpose is to piss those couch-potato-youtuber-and-vloggers-wannabes..after shooting landscape and events foe 15 odd years, i decided to finally try mirrorless and the RP ticks all the boxes for me except in sports and birds in flight. This will save me money for now while waiting foe that awsome eos r successor. For the price and tiny size of this thing, it is very hard to complain.
With Canon's new R system and mirrorless cameras in general, a lot has been made of EVF vs OVF. Is there any difference between what one see with an EVF on the EOS R vs the LCD screen seen in Live View on a Canon DSLR or the EOS R? I saw mention of the DOF view available via the EOS R EVF (WYSIWYG), but does the LCD not give you WYSIWYG also? I know with a DSLR with an OVF you had to have a DOF button on the camera, but again, is what you see on a LCD not WYSISYG? Thanks.
For the most part both the EVF and LCD produce a what-you-see image. However, you might get better clarity and have a better refresh rate, as well as reduced glare on the EVF, which could in turn help you create more accurate exposures.
Great comparison video, you even got into the streaming aspect of these cameras which I don't hear a lot from others. Can I request that you do a Canon RP vs 6D Mark II comparison video?
Good review and comparison, touching on key “so what” items. Side question: assuming you reside in a part of Canada that observes daylight savings time, do you adjust your cams clocks accordingly, or is date stamp good enough? 🕰 Thanks.
Thanks! Yeah, we observe it and adjust our clocks. Except for the computerized devices that do it for us. I hate it though. DST is silly and needs to stop!
I saw some other videos where they used rp in rain and close to waves. So some weather sealing is there. I think I even remember canon mentioned that it's weather sealed?
Do you think I can get the same sharpness and quality portrait In m50? can you help me with this question If I buy canon 35mm f1.4 for M series for m50 compare to Canon rp with New lens 35mm 1.8 for R series then you think the with one will be better photo? (I know in M50 35mm will x1.6) but in general
How is it that pic quality the same when you have aspc vs ff ? I’ve seen very beautiful pics with eosr shot indoors and outdoors with great boke Cant eosrp reproduce that? I don’t think my m50 can do that.
Good comparison and since 5 hours I own both cameras: I catched an offer where they sold the RP with adapter AND RF 35 for a mere 1100 EUR / USD where I couldn't resist. Its the same price I payed for M50 with EF-M 32 but I think like you that the RP is similar to a FF M50 but it has two control rings (3 with RF lens or control ring adapter) and a lot of helpful settings / AF features (eye AF in servo) and now 24 fps in 1080. I was two times just in the mood to order a 2nd M50 but this offer convinced me to buy an RP with the RF 35 to have an image stabilized solution + use it with M50 + 70-200 L IS f/4 or alternatively M50 with EF-M32 and the RP with f/4 70-200 to have a good two body setup with cameras which are much more similar than M50 + 200D or M50 + 5D classic. And I really like EVF - not the EVF itself but the chance to use DPAF through a viewfinder. DPAF helps me to get the shots I always wanted (macro, out of center objects pin sharp etc).
@@gl0tchdj It was a termporaroly limited offer during black friday at Foto Koch Germany. Maybe they made a deal with Canon to press R-bayonet equipped things into the market. I am just thinking about other RF lenses like an RF 135 2.0 IS or RF 100 2.0 IS Macro which are not available but should be in Canon's program (at least an f/2.8 macro) :)
2 points. R does not have 120fps 1080p, its 720p. And M50 has 1 sec option in timelapse mode, RP only 2sec minimun. Thou RP has not shutter speed limit, M50 has 25fps min.

Good video comparison. My main camera is a Sony A7iii, but I also own and use an M50 for travel. I think it is a wonderful camera for the size.
Thanks for chiming in. Glad to hear your perspective.
I’ve had it for a couple days and I’m loving it so far!
Thanks for letting us know! Cheers, Daniel.
How do you feel about it now?
@@useyourimaginasean Had it for about a year but 4K autofocus was making me miss too many shots. Ended up getting better video out of a m6 Mii with Sigma trio so I sold the Rp for that. I have since switched to an A7siii. RP is solid for 1080p and photography but not for 4K which I really ended up relying on.
@@DanielRomero thanks for taking the time to respond!
So quite of a loaded question here - I have a 6D and EOS M100. I've been looking at the M50 & the RP. I would like to consolidate my cameras into one. Do you think the RP could replace the 6D?
I have the m50 now and have learned a lot from it...RP may be a nice step up in my photography journey
good job.. i own both cameras now and this video really helped me decide to just sell my 70D and go with the RP and have the M50 as a second camera ... thank you
Outstanding commentary and review. 🐢📷🐢📷🐢📷
Great video! I have both cameras, and I’m enjoying using them.
In the ISO test however, APS-C has a wider depth-of-field sensitivity, means you can go for faster apertures without having the problem of having a too shallow dynamic range, which means you can compensate with it and can go lower ISO instead.
But what about the M50 with the speedbooster 🥺
What about RP with the native RF lenses which are considered the best in industry. I have use the m50 and image is no way close to the RP...RP is on another level!!
Karkaris better than the RP.
Your so right bro.... I've heard the specs a thousand times! Glad you cut to the chase. God bless!!!! (Subscribed)
So, thanks.
Got a RP for $1400 with canon discount. No complaints, and happy with it. But no extra battery.
Thanks Julie and Gerald...another cogent and comprehensive review. Cheers from British Columbia
Thanks so much! Cheers.
Does the R/RP output 4K over HDMI without a crop by any chance? :D
Nah, it's just the same 4K24 you'd get in camera. I was thinking of you though when I was talking about the small-space-full-frame issues. 😃
Your intro is the only one on RUclips I actually like, so much I actually subscribed to hear it. Lol
Haha. Thanks, Andre!
@@geraldundone I actually like your reviews too. lol
On point review, after this video I think I will probably get the M50 because of the 24p and the longer battery life. Happy to see my funny comment in the video, thanks for that and also (as I said) for the nice review. :)
Haha. I'm glad you saw it. Thanks for the suggestion.
And thanks for the kind words on the review. Cheers!
Next time in the Intro: “Sometimes my pathology just spills out into the camera doesn't it?”
I have use the m50 and the image quality is no way close to the RP...RP is on another level!! I can't wait to mount some rf lenses on the RP and start my RF lens collection!!
Thanks for that bit of info. I hated the image quality and video of the m50, and am weary of trying the RP.
Great and comprehensive review of both cameras! Thanks!
great video! I've got an M50 and was looking to upgrade, so I may just hang on a bit longer until Canon gets their shit together and gives us what we need. Cheers!
Great video. Hello Gerald, could you please tell me which camera is best ? Canon 5D Mark iii or Canon EOS RP ? Thank you :)
Sir, you are the best sub I've added in a long time. Excellent stuff.
Thanks so much, Edward! That means a lot.
2024.. I have two M50’s and use them for videos only for events .. I now want a 3rd 🥉 so maybe the RP will be cheaper used ??
That was an awesome video! I own the RP, and overall I really like it. Great job!
Great video Gerald (and thanks Julie) I follow you for a few months for your extraordinary quality of your content .. greetings from Italy 😁😎
Thanks a lot, Filippo! Cheers from Canada!
Hey Julie thanks for all you do!! Great vid you guys!
If I have a M50 do you think it’s worth it to Upgrade to the RP? I would use both for general photography, family events and sporting events.
Thanks!
41 people don’t know how to hit the dislike button twice 😂👍 Excellent review!
What camera do you recommend around the same price or a better alternative
So, now when we have X-T30, A6400 and M50. Which you'd choose?
Thanks for great review, I'm glad I've found your channel! Keep up! ;)
6400.
Sony is much better.
I am here to see if Gerald says "ya ba da ba doo" and he did it actually :)
I own the both of them , they make a great pair and I love them .
Great video ! Was the 90min of video recording time, at 4K or HD?
With the RP do you have a suggested/ preferred dummy battery? My live streams are between 45 min to 1 hour
Can you do a review of the RF 28-70mm f/2? I'm really curious about that lens for both photo and video
The M50 seems pretty good for travel, but what would be the competing options for a travel camera?
Fuji X-T100 or the cheaper Sony A6000, or cheaper still Panasonic GX80/85. Assuming M50 + kit lens comparisons.
Most helpful video on eosrp & m50!!!!!!!
Thank you very much, Andy!
So you wouldnt recommend upgrading from the M50 to the RP? I want to go full frame but dont have the money for 5D mark iv. Recommendations?
Great video! I own the M50 and was hoping to upgrade to the RP. Now I'll just hold to go for the R6.
The m50 making allows for charging while the camera is on. I carry a battery pack with me for that purpose with video
Really like your content. Quick, question i have a M50 and i am into street photography. Will buying an RP be a step up for me as it has eye detection AF in the servo mode. Also, can we set the min shutter speed in the Aperture priority mode in the RP?
Hi Gerald! As I've researched the Canon EOS RP Power Saving mode limits the display for a maximum of 30 minutes
Display OFF Options are: 15 sec, 30sec, 1min, 3min, 5min, 10m, 30 min (respectively)
Auto Power Down options are: 30 sec., 1min, 3min, 5min, 10m, Disable (respectively)
You might be able to disable Camera power down but the display will still turn off after 30 mins.
Beautiful work and always Gerald.
Excellent video on exactly the camera comparison I was seeking. Thank you.
Glad to hear it. Thanks for the comment!
Late to the video but would Canon come out with a battery grip to compensate for battery life ?
you are the only one who hasn't gone crazy about dr in the eos rp
Oh, there is some veird glitches in the video...
Yeah. Only on the RUclips upload. Apparently it's a known bug that started recently on channels and goes away after a day or two.
Does the focus peaking still work In 4K? I’d pretty much only want the 4K for some nature B-Roll so the autofocus won’t be much of an issue if I can focus manually with the peaking.
great review always packed with info thank you!
This is the second video for the RP saying there is no weather sealing, but according to canon it is and to the same degree as the 6d mark 2...confused
love the quality of your videos
Great Vid!! You can get clean output with the m50 with SparkoCam with no record limit making it a very affordable streaming setup.
Perfect video. Thanks. You answered all my questions
Thanks, Justin! Glad to hear it. Thanks for saying so! 😃🙏
I own M50 , going to add RP eventually .
MacPhotoGuy79 it’s there for free. Have both the r and rp and both came with it.
The main function of EOS RP is to make EOS R, look amazing.
Great video. But I’m still undecided. Have an opportunity to get one through canon upgrade program and still unsure what i want
Thanks for sharing I love my SL2 wondering what to upgrade to
Great comparison video, you even got into the streaming aspect of these cameras which I don't hear a lot from others. Can I request that you do a Canon RP vs 6D Mark II comparison video?
great comparison- thanks
Great video Gerald!
So should i go for rp or a same budget crop sensor ??
Does the 6d mark ii have the same streaming capabilities? Does it offer a clean HDMI out for video capture on your computer?
I'm pretty sure the 6D Mark II does NOT have a clean HDMI out. And usually DSLRs can only leave the mirror up for 30 mins max.
Do you think I can get the same sharpness and quality portrait In m50?
can you help me with this question
If I buy canon 35mm f1.4 for M series for m50
compare to
Canon rp with New lens 35mm 1.8 for R series
then you think the with one will be better photo?
(I know in M50 35mm will x1.6)
but in general
How is it that pic quality the same when you have aspc vs ff ?
I’ve seen very beautiful pics with eosr shot indoors and outdoors with great boke
Cant eosrp reproduce that?
That's a good deal, where did you get it?
@@gl0tchdj It was a termporaroly limited offer during black friday at Foto Koch Germany. Maybe they made a deal with Canon to press R-bayonet equipped things into the market.
I am just thinking about other RF lenses like an RF 135 2.0 IS or RF 100 2.0 IS Macro which are not available but should be in Canon's program (at least an f/2.8 macro) :)
@@MB-tp8ne Damn too bad I missed that!
so for action photography the m50 is better then?
great video. I love your humor
2 points. R does not have 120fps 1080p, its 720p. And M50 has 1 sec option in timelapse mode, RP only 2sec minimun. Thou RP has not shutter speed limit, M50 has 25fps min.
