are you kidding me i flew out this door right after i watched your video earlier i think what really inspired me was that it popped and ive never done that way so you really did a nice jo on the video made it simple and explained a lot without a lot of chatter ..ive watch many and was just like i guess turned off by having to do so much but your video def works for me thanks so much im excited and cant wait to get more plates done lol :)

Hey! I have a lot of ceramic plates, milk lugs, kettles and cups which are now chipped. I will be doing decoupage from your tutorials. What other ways can i decorate the plates? I wamt to make a vintage plate display showcase.

Very nice. How do you prevent the napkin paper from fading? I completed a plate and the color is not as vibrant due to some fading.

Hi, I've seen people use white ceramic plates instead of transparent glass plates with the decoupage napkins being placed on top (for obvious reasons).
What is you opinion on this and which do you recommend is better in the long run?
I haven’t tried it, but i guess it would be just fine as for most decoupage projects the napkin is placed on top of the piece the is being decoupaged!

Yes, you can but gesso is cheaper and better as a primer

May i ask why do we need to use varnish? Isnt Gesso a varnish? Im confused here. Im not sure if im able to buy the varnish u are using.
What can i substitute with? Ive not seen nice colourful napkins here, still searching for local shops here for pretty napkins. Thanks for your reply.
Sylvia, gesso is mixture of plaster of Paris and white acrylic paint..its white in color. Gesso is used for prepping the base... it definitely cannot be used as Varnish.
Varnish is used as a last coat to protect the product from dust.. any water-based wood varnish from your local shop would work just fine:)

Gloria Fields yes certainly.... Around the very onset... Dust the plate with glue and let it harden with glue and then put the napkin on.. Would have a slightly wrinkled effect though ☺️happy crafting
