Maybe because it took Ford up to 1977 to release the next gen Bronco? By the time the new 2nd gen Bronco was released, development on the next Ford truck platform was already underway. Sadly, the 2nd gen Bronco only lasted 2 model years before being replaced by the newer 3rd gen Bronco.
@@MichaelOKeefe2009 some people liked the 1st gen Broncos over the 2nd-5th models which were Short wheel base F series that were meant to compete with the K Blazer and Dodge ramcharger.
FWIU the plan was to launch the 2nd gen in 1974 but the gas crisis intervened, which was why no money was put into updates to the short Bronco and it even had those 1965 LTD/Country Squire wheelcovers to the end.
