Local ford dealership tried to charge an extra $700 for a "preinstalled" 3 year subscription KARR "SWAT" security feature that was not listed on their advertised online sale price. Needed "management approval" to remove it. Asked how long it takes to remove and it's 15 minutes..... turns out the feature can be added on anytime, and the free FORD PASS app also includes the vehicle GPS location anyways. Their reasoning for the preinstallation was that too many cars were being stolen from their lot.
Honestly, the 4 door Wild Trak is a nice truck but seriously over priced in my opinion at close to $70K. At $45K I'd be at the dealer tomorrow. Same for the Raptor. At $65K I wouldn't hesitate but for $90 they can keep it. There is no reason that the Bronco Raptor should be anywhere near the cost of the F150 Raptor. Ford is insane.
Just saw a refused Bronco Raptor and a few other trims. The Raptor looked nice but I wonder if it’s the rates/pricing or the problems that they have experienced driving this.
This explains why I keep getting ads for a giveaway contest for a Ford Sport. I keep looking up articles about the Ford Sports having a fuel leak issue, but the unresponsive RUclips algorithm still hasn't received the message.
If the median income is x. Who can afford these luxury trucks? After the easy sales, then you have people struggling with housing. Too bad the Maverick is a rebadged Escape. Rooting for Ford, but…
Just got a 23 Bronco badlands lux sticker was $66525 got it for $62119. Had to wear them down for like 3 weeks but eventually they sold. Was on their lot over 90 days. Still had a dealer in the LA area tell me they wouldn’t sell without markups and they had badlands on their lot for over 100 days!
Recently went to a Ford Dealer in FL for a minor recall on my 2017 Explorer. While on the lot we looked at Broncos. All were loaded down with BS options. Cheapest one was 65k. Salesman came over and in so many words said they would sell these vehicles at the listed price and would not come down. They also had numerous 2023 models of all Ford vehicles stacked in overflow lots. At some point this will bite them but for some reason, right now, they don't appear to be concerned.
Not too mention the POS 10 speed transmission guaranteed to fail the CDF drums they have only recently updated. Millions are needing this critical update and Ford is being shady not recalling the defect
Actually ordered and purchased a 2022 Raptor at MSRP which was around $72000. Also ordered and just picked up a 2 Dr Heritage last week. Had they not given me $4250 off for a private offer for the Heritage, would have told them to keep it. The days of ordering one make no sense. X Plan is now available as well but not sure if it’s worth it if you can negotiate o e on the lot.
NICE AND USEFUL video man. Subscribed! It is interesting how the cars are price depreciating with more years but as you can see, dealers and independent sellers stills wanna get short in their first investments recovering on it. So it looks that even if they are still used, are way expensive than the MSRP for an used cars or industry average standard price.
I priced out a 24 F-150 XL 2 dr 4X4 V-8 with NO OPTIONS and it was $48K! The worst part of all of this is that they gave me a low ball offer on my 13 F-150 and with 10 grand down my payments would be $500 for the first 3 years and then go up to around 900 for the last 3 years. I am a Ford guy but, they need to re think what people want. All I want is a V-8, 4wd, and an automatic if you have one and no crap I don't need or want.
The inventory situation is worse than you’re describing. Wranglers, Gladiators, and Broncos are all in a bad place. We’re entering the second quarter of 2024 and there’s about 2K 2023 Wranglers, 7.5K Gladiators, and 9K Gladiators. Jeep has major incentives on the Gladiator (15% off MSRP) and some on the Wrangler ($7,500 off 4xe’s), but Ford thinking a few grand off MSRP will help is hilarious. These aren’t going to sell until they come down to earth. The data makes it crystal clear that people don’t have money as the higher trims are still around in massive quantities for a 1.5 year old vehicle. Good luck selling those 2023 Raptors in 2025 Ford. Vehicles don’t do well if they’re not driven much for two plus years. They’ll all need a few oil changes, I’d request new tires due to the lot rot, and various other fluids should be replaced at minimum. Anyway, Jeep got serious with the Gladiator issue and have sold about 5K Gladiators in the last 2 months as they did have over 12K units in December/January. You can find deals on gladiators for 30% off MSRP before negotiating a thing, which is what they need to do to offload these things before the situation gets worse when they probably discontinue or update the vehicle. Gladiators are easier to offload though since they’re a truck and are the second best selling in its class as the entire segment is down. Meanwhile Ford and the dealers are in for a bad time. It’s very simple math right now. Debt is awful, missed payments, repossessions, and credit card debt are all rising at the fastest rate since 2008. Pair that with inflation for the last 3 years and it spells doom for the auto industry for the next few years. Ford needs to wave the white flag and put 10-30% off these things and move some metal. But I’m telling you people are in very bad shape financially and even good incentives are not helping as much as in the past so they’ll have to go much higher. Every $10K financed is $200+ per month. Good luck selling those Raptors Ford, that’s an awfully tough task with this much aging inventory.
Also, for those of you who don’t know, inventory isn’t measured in a raw number. Inventory with products like vehicles and houses are measured taking the raw number divided by the rate of sales. If inventory is high and the sales rate declines it raises the inventory figure exponentially. Someone is going to be left holding the bag here and it’s looking like Ford.
Be VERY careful. Although it's illegal, stealerships are still trying this. DEMAND to see the original documents and check the VIN. Don't be too surprised if they try to sell you a 2023 model with 2024 paperwork. One guy found out online because he was smart write the VIN and compare it with the car the stealership claimed was the same one. They actually had the balls to deny any wrongdoing so he walked out. No surprise, the car listed was yanked from the website immediately. That's how slimy they're getting.
Dang man, I can’t make a decision on what off-road vehicle to get!!! One day I’m all in for the Bronco then watch a video of reliability which pushes me over to the 4Runner because I’m definitely not getting a Jeep product.
I was excited about the new Bronco. I owned a 1995 Bronco up until 5 years ago. It was a very reliable vehicle, it was a simple 302 with a 5spd manual. I keep my vehicles for 15-20 years, so when I purchase a vehicle I look at long term maintenance and ease of repair. I'm mechanically inclined (just rebuilt a 5.0 Coyote), so I know what can go wrong, and I know the hassles that one can face when working on their own vehicles. That being said I was not interested in a small to medium displacement turbo engine. They are not reliable long term, especially from Ford. I did not need 350+ ftlbs of torque, I would have been happy with an N/A V6 or better yet the 5.0 Coyote. I also do not believe that the current pricing is in line with what the vehicle is worth. Ford really screwed me bad with my last Explorer, and they proved to me that they love to talk technology, but when that tech fails they do not stand behind their products. They need to go back to the drawing board and keep it simple. Make a quality product, that is somewhat easy to maintain, and not overly burdened by tech. Ford failed EV push should prove to everyone that they are not in touch with the average consumer.
Great program here. You are spot on. 2023 what are they thinking? These rides all have lot rot. I bet all the wires are all chewed up by the squirrels..
That's why I'm screwed. I can't buy a new car because I know there's a 90% chance I'll have to do a lot of repairs and that would be soul-crushing. Spending over $35K on a "new" car and having to repair it because of lot rot issues. And trust me, the evil brands WILL fight you on warranty issues even though they know the stealership is partly at fault.
The only reason that they are not selling is that the price is just too high. Between the horrid overpricing of the company and the greed of their dealers, you’d have trouble selling anything. This video is a waste of time
The Bronco and Mustang are trending downward. The Bronco is way off the mark, sliding 25.8 percent with 24,066 sales compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the Jeep Wrangler stepped up to 38,308 units sold for 2024 so far, a very minor 1-percent increase. It firmly establishes the Wrangler as the sales leader in this niche off-road segment.
Just got a Bronco Raptor on the lot today. PDI tomorrow and should be on the show room floor by tomorrow afternoon. MSRP $94k. Ask me again tomorrow and tell you if they did a mark up. I’ll also let you know when it sells. Anyone take a guess at how long it will be here? I’m located in North East Florida. It’s a 2024 in shelter green with matching fender flares.
@@Evergladesbronco good to see no markup these days. Let us know how long it sits! I'm waiting till late 24 to scoop up a 24. The matched painted fenders is a must.
I tried to buy a Bronco for a year. First, the huge dealer markups drove me away, then I couldn't order the options I wanted, then I couldn't order the trim level, then I couldn't order a manual, then the next model year debuted and the price went way up again and they dropped the base trim. Whoever is managing the garbage at Ford is a moron. I ended up buying a Jeep, and I couldn't be happier. I'll own Jeeps for the rest of my life.
This is good news…hopefully Raptors continue to sit and come back down to reality. Hoping to grab one at a better price possibly certified used with a really long Warranty
You will run into a new issue that many new buyers never ran into before: lot rot. It's simply caused by the car sitting in the freezing cold/blazing sun for months and months. The list is so long I can't even think of where to begin. It's NORMAL to find critters and crickets living in your a/c vents or a few bird nests. And if you're foolish enough to buy, DEMAND a new battery with the deal at no charge. There is no way the original will last because it has been jump started so many times by tire-kickers wanting to test drive but walked away after the stealership refused to be reasonable on pricing.
OMG!! I ran across this page and I realized < I have seen this guy before. I did a photoshoot of all your sales team back in 2011. I was friends with Tim Klingenberger.
Jeep is overpricing their vehicles too. Just saying. BUT there is more than one used jeep for plenty of affordable prices finding an unmolested one is hard tho 80% of the jeeps you see have serious issues and will be sold to you.
Ford did not sharpen their pencil on the new Ford Bronco. If these were built more full sized and two door with a 5 liter v8 engine with all wheel drive, this probably would have been a success. V 8 these days get just as good fuel economy than v 6 engine. I can't justify 50 something thousand dollars for this model of bronco. Very disappointing.
It cost 28k to reserve one in 202... they want almost 40k for the same 2 door bronco. Ford can eat a bag on ding-a-lings b/c 40k opens up A LOT of options for vehicles and a Ford isn't on my radar in that price range.
From my understanding Mercedes broncos especially the sports are made in Mexico where they're paying the people hardly anything I wouldn't even think of buying one
Ford does not have a problem selling the car, the dealers do. Ford didnt say to mark them up 20-50%. The dealers did that. If dealers sold them at msrp, that would have been totally fine. Now that the dealers cant sell, ford cant sell. Its the dealers that are the problem. Ford needs to just cut the dealers out totally and sell direct. Nobody even needs to test drive a car these days.
Funny…, Ford wouldn’t take my order, when I spec’d out a Raptor Bronco in 2021…, I took my business elsewhere to a company that did want to sell me a vehicle.
Bronco depreciates - hard - . Why would you purchase one already a year old. In a year, it will be worth 40% less than what you paid for it. You would need to get an INITIAL 30% off MSRP to make it worthwhile. Just not gonna happen. 4k off a year old car is absurd. You should be able to get that off a NEW car.

That's why Wranglers are getting so awful. Ignore the fans, they're just trying to hide the fact that a Wrangler in the last year or two is overpriced trash. I wouldn't buy one even if I won the lottery.
A week ago I bought a new 2023 2dr Big Bend with the v6 and SAS for 49.5K which is about 5.5k under MSRP
I mean I'm shopping now and I'm finding 2023 2 door badlands with sas and v6 for 49k. Sub 10k miles. Prices keep droppin
They are great SUVs. Far better than a Jeep or 4runner. The proven gen2 -2.3L GTDI is all ya need. 300hp. Good mpgs. 35in tires are perfect too. 💯
No, not a 4 runner. They have proven to be the most reliable SUV.
Buying a new vehicle before paying off your mortgage AND maxing out your retirement fund is wetoddid unless you are either genuinely rich or need one for business.
Personal non-business trucks are TOYS which is totally cool (I collect vintage motorcycles) but toys should never hurt the budget. I pay cash for my rides and retired debt-free at 47 because I refuse to buy unwisely.
Exactly my thinking as well. Too many kids taking out huge loans for cars they can barely make the monthly payment on
They are still playing games , in ALL ford dealers in my east coast tri state area, markups dealer adjustments, pinstripes.
We do this all the time & we wait for you guys to go online & complain 🤓
And don't forget window etching. The dealer got me for $299 when I bought my new Wrangler Willys back in November.
I own a 1977 Ford LTD. And though it is a base model and lacks all the amenities that make it a luxury car, I am grateful to have it instead of any new car out there today, gas or battery operated.
When I bought it, it had about 30,000 miles on it and I only paid $11,000 for it, not $90,000.
Make sure you have towing coverage, on your insurance policy.
Love the bronco. Finally some deals - dealers around here or annoying for the last two years, so I’m happy to tell them no now.
Just got a 26k discount on Jeep wrangler rubicon, maybe go bronco or Land Cruiser in a couple years
A jeep ??? They should of gave u 100% off window sticker those shit are garbage 🤮
hey whatever - i will have it for less than warranty so who cares? certainly you don't think Ford's turbo's are better?@@eminabramov209
AL the buyers who wanted a non SFA offroader bought them... all the serious off-roaders will stick to the wrangler... bronco was destined to sell well its first 3 yrs ( like the gladiator) as people who wanted a nice road ride off roader bought them.. but now that buyer has bought.......and is gone... even if that buyer was to re buy for offroading ...he would get a wrangler for its SFA....... bronco buyers i belive who want to offroad wil ALL convert to wranglers
I watched off road videos comparing the bronco to the wrangler.... it was embarrassing how superior the wrangler was.
A guy is selling aftermarket kits to beef up the tie rods on the Bronco that break during serious off roading.@@beatrixbrennan1545
I got a 2024 Ford Bronco Black Diamond with $3500 off MSRP. Location: San Jose. Time: June. 2024
Just saw a refused Bronco Raptor and a few other trims. The Raptor looked nice but I wonder if it’s the rates/pricing or the problems that they have experienced driving this.
We want a Raptor, but they are just priced too high. I looked on Autotrader and 271 were available within a 300-mile radius.
Rooting for Ford, but…
Those Escapes are around $45k!
Not worth more than about $25-27k
Just got a 23 Bronco badlands lux sticker was $66525 got it for $62119. Had to wear them down for like 3 weeks but eventually they sold. Was on their lot over 90 days. Still had a dealer in the LA area tell me they wouldn’t sell without markups and they had badlands on their lot for over 100 days!
Which is crazy cause Ford threatened to cut their allotments if they were still charging markups.
Why would anyone pay over 50k for any version of a Bronco.
Just got an offer out the door of 64k for a Wild Track fully loaded!
@@Chief_5hell yeah I would get it!
You forgot to mention Fords quality control is a train wreck...in my opinion in 2-4 years these will be rolling money pits
Like my dad's drinking buddy said: "Ford stands for Fix Or Repair Daily." He wasn't kidding.
Finally someone appreciates the Wildtrak. Not sure why Badlands gets all the glory.
Where do you get the inventory data?
Not too mention the POS 10 speed transmission guaranteed to fail the CDF drums they have only recently updated. Millions are needing this critical update and Ford is being shady not recalling the defect
Bronco and Wrangler are both 30% overpriced
No, it's more like 50% overpriced.
Are these tips for buying only for getting an older (2023) or is this for new ones?
Aren't they made in mexico? At least the jeeps are made in the us.
just the sports, full frame Dearborn, Michigan
Actually ordered and purchased a 2022 Raptor at MSRP which was around $72000. Also ordered and just picked up a 2 Dr Heritage last week.
Had they not given me $4250 off for a private offer for the Heritage, would have told them to keep it.
The days of ordering one make no sense.
X Plan is now available as well but not sure if it’s worth it if you can negotiate o e on the lot.
I'm looking at a two door badlands with the 4 and a manual. It seems like to much money for what it is.
All overpriced
You kind of touched on it at the end.....New cars are for Chumps. Anyone paying the kind of money for a Ford (garbage) is a Chump X2.
I wonder if the 3-5 year depreciation will be rough.
80k I rather get the one from the 90s and build it to my own spec. Truck and build would max be 20k
I would get the basic 2 dr with a stick , then mod it to my taste and budget.
I have never spent more than $14000 plus tax for a car. I never will.
Got off my lawn! Old man yells at cloud…
@@anthonywood8587 You MUST be a salesman. lol
@@anthonywood8587I don't drive around in my money. My 2008 Ford runs great.
Preach my Brother 🎉🎉🎉
Dang man, I can’t make a decision on what off-road vehicle to get!!!
One day I’m all in for the Bronco then watch a video of reliability which pushes me over to the 4Runner because I’m definitely not getting a Jeep product.
Bronco brother. Bronco
Currently looking at them, over 10% markup on all models in my area. And they've been sitting on lots for a while
I was excited about the new Bronco.
This video is a waste of time
Prices too high, no V8 or F-150 based Bronco, build quality down and #1 for recalls.... wonder why Broncos are not selling.....?
I ordered a Big Bend because it fits all my needs and budget and I’m not doing much off-roading and no rock climbing so FU.
bought a used toyota 4runner never looked back
The Bronco and Mustang are trending downward.
Let us know 👀
It doesn’t matter if they a mark up or not when u go pick it up you’ll pay whatever they tell you to pay o
No mark up. $94k on the lot now
@@Evergladesbronco good to see no markup these days. Let us know how long it sits! I'm waiting till late 24 to scoop up a 24. The matched painted fenders is a must.
@@wsmart88 I agree and wish I could add a picture to a comment. The shelter green with matching fenders is dope
No V8 no sale here. That 7.3l would be sweet in a Bronco.
Yeah right 😂
Might as well just drop a 1000 hp super cobra jet engine in it….go big or go home goof ball
Should put the 3.5 eco boost in it or the coyote no one wants a powerless engine it’s a bronco they came with v8s originally
What is a good target price on the Raptor?
Under $100k. I've never seen a single one in my state priced UNDER $105k!
I'll just keep my 2010 FJ Cruiser....
SUCH A TINY PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WILL EVER TAKE ONE OFF ROAD
Ford raised over 10k on bronco raptors for 23 year model for no reason.
The pricing is crazy with all manufacturers is out of this world
Calm down on all those triple 6 hand signals.
This is easy. No Ford. next
Ford broncos are everywhere people are buying them by the droves
The bronco raptor is absolutely incredible there’s nothing out there like it, it’s amazing!!!!
There is $20K ADM on Raptors in Santa Rosa.
OMG!! I ran across this page and I realized < I have seen this guy before. I did a photoshoot of all your sales team back in 2011. I was friends with Tim Klingenberger.
You did a great job... I still love that picture.
Jeep is overpricing their vehicles too.
Just saying.
BUT there is more than one used jeep for plenty of affordable prices
finding an unmolested one is hard tho 80% of the jeeps you see have serious issues and will be sold to you.
I am trying to negotiate a BMW X1 but the best lease I can get on a 47,000 build is 832,00 month. My goal is below 600,00
500$ a month leasing is the only way these units are going to leave the lots in mass.
From my understanding Mercedes broncos especially the sports are made in Mexico where they're paying the people hardly anything I wouldn't even think of buying one
Always remember they charged way over msrp for a long time. Ripping everybody off. What did they expect
A 23 will be a two year old vehicle in about 5 months. Dont do it unless you get them at 30% percent off
I got a great deal on a 23 F-150 last Nov. I got 14k off sticker.
You got $14k off discount out of $90k ? 😮
