Just passed!!! 4 minor faults and almost two majors, nerves were like jelly. Remember folks, DON'T GIVE UP. I thought I failed within 20 minutes of the test, but clearly showed my displeasure and the examiner noted my anger at the mistake. They take into account how safe you are. Whilst I made mistakes, I was EXTREMELY safe. I even got one hesitation, but it worked out for me. Had I not hesitated, I would've crashed at a roundabout.

Also just want to say, for those with an upcoming test: confidence is so so important for passing. It truly gives you the best chance, because it's true that some things are down to luck and the discretion of the examiner. For example, I was (technically) ready for my previous test but my lack of confidence showed and I could tell the examiner was more precautious as a result - evidently leading to a serious on something another examiner might have brushed off. But this time around I put the examiner at ease straight away, to the point that by the time it got to my parking manoeuvre about 3/4 of the way through (which was a tricky one as the lines of the bay were severely faded), the examiner told me it was good and to head off before I'd even stopped the car! Then they were chatting away with me for the rest of the test because I hadnt given them any reason to think they needed to be vigilant!
So please please give yourself the best chance by just being assured that you know what you are doing. From that the test will be easier. And you will avoid wasting a lot of time, money and tears! (Speaking from experience 🙂)

@mleeha3769 thank you!! I honestly don't know how I pulled it off, no extra practise, done around 45 hours to know the test routes etc and just took my time on the test! I was shaking like a leaf for days before it but kept thinking all I need to do is show I'm a safe driver😊 it was the hardest test centre in Scotland too, couldn't believe it!

I must've watched this video and studied it about 20 or More times, watched all the parking ones too. finally passed my test 3rd attempt and 2 theory tests later (due to pandemic lockdowns) To people waiting for a test best of luck 👍 to anyone who has just failed do not give up.
Did you find it hard finding a date for your practical test due to back log or it was fine (just to add how long did it take to get the test?)

Thank you SO much for this helpful video, which I must have watched ten times! I took my practical exam in my instructor's Ford Puma last week and used this video to study. I think my examiner was impressed with my responses (pretty much word-for-word from your video), and I went on to pass on my first try with only three minors! This was such a useful study aid and helped bolster my confidence a bit going into the test. Really appreciate the clear communication and helpful visuals. I can now happily say I passed this morning (3rd attempt) with only one minor!
And to all current learners out there, I was a nervous wreck for a long time as a learner - and for a while I thought maybe driving just wasn't for me. Yet now I can safely say I am a good, competent driver. I never thought I'd get here. got my test in two weeks, it's taken a while as I had a horrible driving instructor last year who shouted and sweared at me , WHILST i'm trying to learn in a busy city like London. Thankfully I got an amazing instructor now and it will change my life if I pass! Go for it for all you learner drivers out there! Make sure you have the instructor right for you!

To test the brakes before driving the car, push down on the brake pedal it should feel firm when pressed, not spongy after first testing the breaks the do the drive forwards and break to make sure the car is breaking in a stright line

My driving test is today which will be my third one. I failed the first one due to 1 major and 3 minors due to a mistake. The second time, nerves completely got the best of me and messed up due to the extra pressure. I was being way to over cautious and second-guessing myself constantly, so I'm hoping third time is a charm as when I'm with my instructors, I can drive just fine.

I didn't pass the third time, but unfortunately, ever since my first test, my confidence on a test has taken a hit. Despite my lessons, I've been driving around just fine, and I can't seem to shake it off the nerves.

@@worlddriving Thanks. Did well with answering the 'Show me Tell Questions' on test this morning. I got 8 minors but I wasn't successful on passing the test, as my 'observations at junctions' made it become 1 serious fault and, therefore, it was this that let me down. Have managed to book another test though; so will see what happens then. In the meantime, I am going to continue watching your very helpful and informative videos over the coming weeks and months. I'm hopeful it might be '2nd time lucky' for me in November! 🤞

I have my driving test tomorrow, and I'm really nervous. Do you have any tips. because i am really scared. as i have been told the examiners are not nice people at my local test centre.
You’re going to be okay. Just follow all the advice your instructor gave and all the experiences you built out of those years. No matter who the examiner is, I guarantee you will be fine. Revise your show me and tell me questions if you want to impress the examiner.
If your nerve tick in, then don't look at the examiner after you've answered your safety questions and follow the instructions given by the examiner. I Don’t recommend being chatty or friendly with the examiner, but if the examiner takes this approach, return the favour. However, don't be distracted and get your focus on the road.
Good luck, my friend, and don't let the examiner's presence overshadow your driving skills. You can do it.
The examiner during my test was supposedly mean from what I heard, but she turned out to be such a lovely lady. She went on to say, most people she examined didn't know their safety questions.

Let us know how you go! I passed second time just over a month ago. Just think - if other people can do it, why can’t you? The other thing is… try not to care what the examiner is doing. Just think about how you can keep yourself (with your examiner) safe on the roads.

I found this on Tuesday (the day of my test) and they cancelled it because there was barely an inch of snow on the ground BUT I managed to get another test for this Monday coming and this video helps a lot! When I read I feel like it doesn’t stick 😅
