As a guy I appreciate this 100%. It's about time girls lose this attitude of expecting the guy to ask you and convincing yourself of stupid bullshit like "if he doesn't ask me out he probably doesn't like me". If we thought this way, too, nobody would ever go on any dates. This is a two-way road. Time to quit standing around, waiting for oncoming traffic and instead start the engine yourself and drive!

No, it is the guy's job to initiate. It rarely works the either way around. Best thing for girls is to hint at him by making eye contact for a few seconds, smiling, open body language, and waiting for him to approach. He'll get the idea. If the guy doesn't ask the girl out he either doesn't like her or is too much of a pussy to ask her out. Either way I wouldn't want a guy like that. I say this because men can easily take advantage of a girl who basically throws herself at him by showing obvious interest in him. And let's face it, young guys are more interested in sex than anything else while young girls are looking for something more than that. "Girls, don't make it easy for them to deceive you. If you follow this video's advice you will most likely either be rejected or be taken advantage of."

For your sake I hope you brought a parachute. When you're done you should complete your dogma of social retrogression by going full analog, thus preventing you from clogging my notifications feed with a response that I won't bother to read.
cocojenise I am one of those rather shy guys and really bad at reading body language. More often than not I think a girl isn't interested in me and find out when it's too late that she actually was. There's confident and less confident people in both genders. Just because someone is less confident or less experienced in approaching women doesn't automatically make him a bad choice. I'd even claim, quite on the contrary, guys who are very practiced at hitting on girls are a lot less trustworthy because they will also cheat on their girlfriend with ease, while guys like me are very faithful. So I say, screw those antiquated ideas, times have changed. Over generalisations such as "young guys look only for sex, girls always want more" are not exactly reflecting reality. There's girls who only want one night stands and there's guys who are looking for serious relationships, even at a younger age.

I was hanging with my two best friends and I was like "oh I wish I could ask him out" and my friend just went up to him and was like "Cleo wants to go out with me" and he was like "If she likes me she will tell me herself" I was acting really awkward and I was like "U-ummm w-w-w-will y-you g-go- ahhhhhhhhhh I can't do it"it was really awkward and later on he just hugged me and I actually felt like fainting....and that was my lovely story

Well no. If they don't see it that way, then asking to go to the movies or something seems like things friends do anyway so it wouldn't matter.
Just go for it, especially if he likes you too, us guys don't really like to make the first move. And if you decide not to you will most likely end up like me, i was supposed to ask out a really special girl that i have known since kindergarten in college but i decided maybe later but then she got with another guy and about a year later i finally confessed my feeling and she said she liked me too but she was with her boyfriend. Afterwards i was heartbroken, constantly beating myself up over the fact that if i asked it would have happened so please live your life so you have nothing to regret

I saw this video a while ago before it got reuploaded, and that was when I was debating whether or not to ask my crush out. I followed the advice from this video, and took the plunge! We've been in a happy relationship for 6 months now, so thanks Wellcast! Ladies, don't wait for your crush to ask you out, ask them! Take the plunge, you never know what might happen :)

Well, I did ask him on a date. He said yes. We went on a comedy. With no one else around that we know and we just chill. It was... normal , sadly. I expected that since it is a one side love. Her likes a girl who is 2 years older, I like him for who he is. Saldy I am only a best friend to him.

Tbh, I also had a crush on this boy. Let's call him... Stan! So anyway, me and Stan were the bestest buddies that you could ever think if. I was a female, he was a male, you know. But in that time boys and girls HATED each other! Wow Jesus they would play this game called 'War' it was boys against girls... So Stan and I had known each other since Pre School (kindergarten for all you muricans out there). We were so happy together! But eventually I started to develop feelings for him. I really likes him, so when I was in Year 4 (3rd grade), I told him how I felt. He didn't think it was real, though. He thought I was joking. So, I tried again in Year 5 (4th grade). But instead of saying it to him face-to-face, I mailed it. You know, mailing? Not on the computer, but actually writing it on a piece if paper, put it in an envelope and throw it in a mailbox. Wait for some days, and BAM! You got mail, baby. In that mail I sent him I truly expressed my feelings, he wrote back, but my expectations were much higher than I thought. He said that he thought we were too young to date. I was dissapointed, sad, angry and much more negative emotions were flowing through my body. Eventually, one month later, my BFF came up to me and said: "Hey, Dune. Got a surprise... Stan likes you!" As I heard my BFF say Stan I started to fangirl soooo much! I was happy! I went up to him and asked if he wanted to go out with me, and said yes. I told everybody in school, but at the end of break, he was angry, because it was supposed to be a secret. I was grumpy. Heart-broken, and I cried. At the end of Year 6, I had to move to another country, and lost him. This was the sign that I had to start again. He was a wild catch. I won't find anyone like him ever again.

[Our class went to a nature preserve for a week and when someone was begging him to be his partner (it was a good friend of his) he asked me to be his partner and then we held hands.] I then asked him out about 2 weeks after and he said no. I'm not actually uncomfortable whenever I'm with my crush. We tend to have a conversation like normal persons. I also like teasing and making jokes with her without telling that I liked her. But most of them confessed to me that they liked someone else and others recently in a relationship. No matter what happens I'll support them. As long she's happy I'm also happy. ^_^
