The second most impressive thing about this repair, after the guys obvious skill is.......It looks like nearly every tool he used is "home made", repurposed, or otherwise modified to do what he needs it to do. Total respect here.
He definitely knows his stuff
Welding, blacksmithing, advanced pulling bodywork. All those different skills and how many man hours? How is this even worth it? Are there many places that would even attempt this?

Outstanding work sir.
Got to love watching skilled craftsmen good job!
Indeed
Modifying this chassis for trucks is my father's job and I inherited this job from him and he mastered it well. I have worked with it for 16 years. I assure you that this profession will only be acquired by experience and facing many different curves 😎😉
This artist really deserves appreciation for his mastery 🖒👏👏👏👏
Old school repairs 👍 The man is a master 👍 As a 63 year old and been a Panel Beater all my life started at 14 I really really appreciate the skills he has.
Where is the shop located??
I've worked with metal for decades in various capacities and I think straightening a bent object is about the most satisfying task there is. Impressive work shown here, I enjoyed it.
The most impressive was getting stretched metal--those kinks back down--with very litle heat
O Paquistão é o presente... Este vídeo veio do futuro!
Amazing. I'm an American but the new American attitude that things can't be repaired disgusts me. The people of your shop are incredibly talented. I've been a mechanic for close to 40 years but never really got into the bodywork side though a close friend owns a body shop here. This work absolutely fascinates me.
I retired or should I say it retired me, being a body and frame man. And yes it's shameful the amount of waste we have in this industry due to the high cost of parts and materials, it's easier and cheaper to total an automobile than to pay a skilled craftsman.
its not an "new attitude" its just a fact based on science. typically you cant certify these trucks to be rated the same as they were prior to the repair.. trucking companies require insurance. . and these trucks cant be insured. No one is going to cover the chance that the frame snaps under a load that it was originally certified to handle and causes a accident / damage to property / loss of life.

Nobody in the U.S. would repair a frame so badly damaged. They would buy new frame components and reassemble. It's because our laws wouldn't allow this repair. Awesome work👍
You are true. The residual stress could break the structure.
Same in sweden nobody would allow that frame back on the road again But nice Job anyway nice skillz
What laws?
@@myvideos56 My thought exactly. All the tensile strength is lost with the bending and heating. Unless they have a way of heat treating the assembly, I too would not trust it. Amazing craftmanship though.
@@connyeriksson1912 This repair would be fine both in the US and Sweden. Uneconomical and dangerous are different things. If it passes the crack inspection it's good to use.

Had to be at least 40 very skilled man hours here. Worth his weight in gold is right. I’m surprised he didn’t have kids doing the heavy lifting for him.
I think straightening that frame is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen 😯.

A deep understanding of what metal likes to do in all kinds of stress situations, I bet it takes years and years to gain that skill set!
Mate I'm so impressed with your acquired knowledge and skill set. I'm a trades person and I was mesmerised from start to finnish. Every adjustment you applied to that chassis i couldn't wait to see what the next would have. I thought that chassis was unsalvagable. Your a great technician man.
It's not just about the equipment, it's about knowing how to use it, a very skilled opperator.
Good to see someone who has the skills to rebuild something like that. Unfortunately with the throw away society that is becoming more prevalent, people with your skills are harder to find these days. Keep it up, thanks for sharing with us.
Labor rates are cheap enough in Russia where it makes economic sense to to perform such repairs. In the states, labor is 4X the rate so the truck is scrapped. You could save money hand over fist by shipping your truck here from the U.S. to be worked on even after paying the necessary customs official's bribes.
@@cluckhead1913 You are right. It is a balance of cost for replacement parts against the cost of tools (which are a lifetime investment) and labour. In some countries one is more economical, in others the other. And don‘t forget legal codes are immensly different. In other countries this work of art would not pass inspection no matter what.
As for saving the parts (as I have seen above in comments) metal has the phantastic property that it is not thrown away, it is simply melted and will come back another day in another form. But that costs money too, so the decision lies with the bookkeeper!

There must be a lot of truck frame damages in that country, to warrant the amount of money it cost to buy all that specialized equipment .
