I was there on opening day that day. Just seeing that championship flag being raised and the team coming out of the tunnel waiving to all the fans to "The Super Bowl Shuffle" was as special as it gets. Even though it was 39 years ago, it still seems like yesterday!💓💓💓
8:0212:50 As awkward as Kosar could be at times one thing that he did as well as any other QB I’ve ever seen.... He could read defenses extremely well and he’d audible accordingly. He was also extremely accurate with those weird side armed slings. (Not accurate in this game vs Chicago however). He was 6’5” (same as P. Manning) so he got away with the side armed throws. He once threw 316 completions without an interception. The guy couldn’t scramble 5 yds to save his life, but he damn sure burned a lot of blitzing defenses
he just couldn't stay healthy. Even though he got body slammed later in the season by Charles Martin, McMahon got hurt over and over again. From 1984 to 88 he was 36-5 as a starter when he played. Sadly for most of that time he was hurt.

-Suhey and Johnson both totally winded and they just lay there after the tackle 🤣😂🤣

Lol, immediately wiping out any doubt as to whether the game needed it or not😂😂😂
Thanks for this upload. This video gave me a chance to see how the 1986 Cleveland Browns' season started.
Cool. Glad you could appreciate it, buddy
11:37 was the first sign that the Bears Super Bowl hopes would eventually fall short

@@redmustangredmustangYes, but when he did play he WAS one of the “Greats”.
The “zone” defense …
