    Thank you a million times. Finally a video that doesn't leave me hanging. I have watched so many and didn't learn much cause they skip to the end leaving me wondering what I missed. You are my favorite and I am so grateful to you for your time.

    You did an excellent tutorial, kudos 👍
    here’s a tip for those open spaces in the heel area. You can choose what is called a German Heel Stitch method, or for easier way (and ways I knitted long ago and it worked really well), is before you knit the pegs on your increases, you pull up the bar* (*the yarn you see between stitches) from below where you pointed out your space, and you pull it up and place it on the nearest peg, then knit over this stitch before knitting the peg with your working yarn. Sometimes you need to pull up 1-3 different bars depending how large an area open is, but it will fill the gap. Remember that this only works during the increase stage of knitting, and then you continue on with wrapping and knitting with the working yarn. This will also save time rather than sewing afterwards, and it gets easier with practice.
    Another tip: if your working on a pattern, and your not sure how it will work out, place stitch markers on the loops (of the area you are pleased with) before your changes in stitches just in case you decide you’re not pleased and want to unravel and start over. With markers, the change area will be easier instead of unraveling the entire work done. (I’ve done a lot of trials and many projects I started back at the beginning after an hour or two knitting. My lesson learned to use stitch markers, or safety pins work just as good).
    Note: I hope I explained this clearly and its helpful for you. Beautiful socks, and I love the sound of your ring too. It’s like your playing a quieter tambourine 😁 👍👍 subscribed
    PS your video was really good at closeup to show work, but if you zoom out just a tad bit, not much, and it’ll be perfect 🙏💖🧶❤️

    You've changed my life with your wonderful videos. I have MS, Reading Dyslexia and ADHD. It's really hard when MS grounds me and my ADHD is screaming to get up and do everything. I bought knitting looms for my adult daughter last Christmas and she left the looms behind when she moved out. After walking past them for months, I decided to look into your videos so that those looms could be put to work. Well, that was about 200 hats ago in only a few months! I have donated bunches of newborn hats to the local hospital and given hats away to anyone who wants them. I still have a stash to give to the homeless shelter. Yes, many people praise me for my generosity, but they have no idea how much I have been blessed by making them! I have nothing but praise and thankfulness to you for sharing your gifts and talents with others. Please know that the blessings are reaching far beyond my hands and into the community! God bless you for changing my life!

    i'm an advanced loom knitter and u did an excellent video. the only thing i'd like to correct to help u in the future is you say yarn over when u are knitting over and there is a term yarn over (yo) in loom knitting which means to ewrap (yo) an empty peg.

    When you're e-wrap is on the last peg I just knit the last peg wrapped to hold it from unraveling on me, that way I don't have to hold the yarn on any pegs, and to save time on my projects I use my other hand inside to pull the wraps down since I'm holding it with it anyway. Nice job explaining how to create such a cute cushy sock, happy looming

    Time for me to dust off the old looms! I just moved up north. I can now make me a few pairs of these and put the slip grips on the bottom to make me chunky slippers to scuttle around the house in. Thank you for teaching!

    • @dawnakern7467

      What are "slip grips" and where do I get them. I heard hat flex seal liquid works on the bottom o slippers, any thoughts?

    • @lisamichelle1612
      @lisamichelle1612 7 лет назад

      "slip grips" are just the things that are put on the bottom of slippers to stop you from sliding. Not a brand name, just what I call them. I've made slippers and just put dots of clear silicone on the bottom and it works nice as well.

    Love your videos.....
    I just wanted to share an easy way to wrap on loom..... It speeds up process..
    Get a Straw, I use the ones from Dunkin Donuts because is nice and sturdy and cut it to be 3" or so in length. Take your yarn ad put it thru straw with darning needle
    then tie on the anchor as normal and then wrap easily like using a pen makes project a breeze and easy o hands.... try it.... ps you can use a pen with the guts out too but straw is easier.
    Let me know how you like.

    14:35. Loom knitters have disowned any loom made by Boye, because of the way the neck of the peg is designed. It causes more work than is necessary.

    Love the video! Just a tip though, for the hole on the heel, when you start the heel, you need more than the ten pegs, because you need a turning peg, and then when you finish the heel, there will be a stitch on the inside, and you pull that up and on a peg and then knit( yarn ) over and that closes the hole. Hope this makes sense to you. happy hooking!

      I used last peg and 11 more. Saw the stitch to yo.inside.of last and number 12.it makes one stich and eliminate all holes in the heel. Did this after heel was finished, but yo.last peg and peg 11.when first ewrap.color for heels.
      Practice. I hope you gained from this.

    HI!! I l have a tip... I got it from another youtuber. It looks like its hard to rap the yarn around the pegs so the tip is to get a straw cut it to the length you want and put the yarn through it . It makes it a lot easier to rap the yarn around!!

    Hi Glama!! I LOVE your video's ...... to the WITCH (with a B) that said you talk to much....F - U.....I love your talking. You really walk people through from beginning to end which is very rare......most video's assume and skip a lot of details. Anywho...I have been playing around and to eliminate the "hole" when doing the heel....work pegs 1 through 12 like you explained and then when you get to 12 before you "loop around" lift the stitches off that peg and loop around and then place the stitches back on twelve....knit back to 1 and when you are ready to loop around 1 lift the stitches off of 1 and loop around then place the stitches back on 1 and continue with your instructions. This will eliminate the "gosset" hole. Does that make sense? Love love love your vids....keep knitting on Glama!!

    I hae never seen loom knitting before and you have done wonderfully in showing your viewers how. One questions can you use finger (sock) weight yard on the loom?

    • @MadeWithLoveByGlama
      @MadeWithLoveByGlama  9 лет назад

      Felicia Few Thank you, Felicia...in regards to finger weight yarn with this particular loom knit, I wouldn't advise it...I would purchase a Sock Loom Instead (the pegs are closer together). With this particular loom that I am using, the pegs are further apart so if your yarn is light weight...there would be big holes/spaces between the rows and stitches. I hope this helps
      Hugs

    I think my 1st heel turned out better than the 2nd. I royally screwed up the 1st heel but it looks OK. The 2nd heel I followed the tutorial super closely and its even worse. I can fix it but i mustve missed a whole row of the heel or something. I think i retire from socks after this pair lol

    When you have three loops on a peg, you can yarn over two loops together.

    Hi glama....firstly glad that I'm learning loom knitting also from you apart from crochet. I have a small doubt. Is this the standard size of the loom to be used for making a pair of socks? To make myself more clear, are there different loom sizes used for kids and adult socks or is it the same loom size for all?
