@@TrailTraveler 3 weeks from now I'll be in the eadville area for 10 days trying to hit as many trails as possible within a 2 hour drive from Leadville
@@frasiec ya a wrangler sport which i had one of for 12 years would be fine..... the issue is the wheelbase on the gladator significantly longer so spots like 6:47 result in high centering. ---- That said my JT is more for off roading and camping and not so much rock crawling.
If you just want to experience the trail, which one would you recommend this one are broken arrow? From a tourist perspective? Thank you in advance for your answer.
I made the mistake of going down this “trail”in a 28’ Ryder box truck in a moonless night. I was hauling my art work to a gallery in Sedona. Fortunately I made, and I must be a good packer because none of my paintings were damaged. Appearance whose the truck was fine, the transmission is probably a different story.
I'm not airing down past 25psi. Would that make it worse? I run 37s with a 3" lift on a manual JKU. I don't mind a little bit of bumpiness, but is it super crazy bumpy? Hahaha
Anything is better than highway pressure, but why only 25? We just completed an 8 day, 1,000 mile trip and ran between 10-15 the entire time. Once you get into those numbers, the difference is quite noticeable.
@@TrailTraveler I have Escalade air struts on the rear of my Jeep, so it rides nicely on air when I hit the switch for a few psi. The tires are ok being slightly down instead of all the way down, on my Jeep. The air ride gives a lot of cushion for rocks and big dips on the trail.
Why this is a Jeep Badge of Honor trail is beyond me. It is very scenic for sure but after driving it from I-17 down to Sedona a couple of years ago in our Grand Cherokee to see the scenery, we went back last year in our JLU last Spring and, after about 2 miles of being beat up by the nasty road (aired down and sway bar disconnected), we turned around and went to the nearest watering hole!
BoH trails are typically either scenic or technical, Schnebly is certainly scenic, but the only thing technical about it is what a rough road it is. The only way to do this trail is to air down a lot to help make it feel a bit smoother.
I have been down Schnebly Hill Road many times, but never in a jeep. I couldn't imagine how rough it must be. I do it in my Polaris razor pro XP, has something like 22 inches of travel. The quicker you go the smoother it is, I've made it from the Vista down to the beginning in 18 minutes.
Great video man. I love AZ wheeling its really an amazing place.
I did 6 miles of this trail yesterday with the top down in a rental Chevy Camaro from I17. Lol
Yea the I17 end is pretty lame. Calling the trail a Jeep Badge Of Honor trail is pretty funny 😄
Great video and trail. Subscribed!
I’ve always been sorry we didn’t do Schnebly Hill when we were in Sedona several years back....
thanks for sharing the video. Did you have to disconnect sway bars?
Absolutely not. In fact, we just ran it yesterday and never got out of 2WD.
Welcome home brother!!
Did Schnebly Hill many times in my youth with a bone stock 1978 2WD Ford F-100. The biggest worry on this road is ground clearance.
Me too. 54 Ford Station wagon
Finally! A trail my stock JT-R can do :)
Wait until you see the Table Mesa trail video.

Schnebly Hill is an easier scenic trail Broken Arrow is a harder technical trail

What do you recommend for tire PSI? First outing in my new Jeep coming up!
I usually drop to 14-16, but 18 is usually pretty good and you normally don’t need to go lower unless you are rock crawling
Do you have to go over that Cow Patty rock?
There are no obstacles that are mandatory. I could easily drive the whole thing in our Subaru.
Wondering if i could do this in my '14 JGC 4x4 with air suspension (can get up to around 14" of ground clearance at max) with 33's
I could do it in my Subaru Outback, so yes.
do they allow overnight camping on top of schnebly hill?
There is camping at the end of the trail but nothing on the trail itself
Great vid! Were you in low range?
There was no need for lo range

@@JeffLenney no, I air up before going on pavement

Man, dont think i would make it at 5:41 - 6:21 in my stock 2022 Mojave, lol. Was there another way around that lol
That was an optional obstacle and, when we went back recently, it was blocked off.
@@TrailTraveler oh wow, how is the regular route then? TIA
@@MetroCollectablesandvlogs I could do it in my Subaru
I ran this 15 years ago and it was a well graded maintained road. Last year I was there and ,..... well..... you know. Not so smooth
Cooler at the top

Do Broken Arrow
We did, it will be posted next week
I wish Broken Arrow had a BOH, see the blog post above.
@@donmontalvo1 exactly Why schnebly I one I’ll never know. Nice scenery. But Broken Arrow is much better.
