    So glad I found your channel. Doing alpine loop this September and been searching tirelessly for full length videos detailing the main portions of trail. Thanks!

    Great video. The wife and I have been going to Ouray/Silverton area wheeling for the past 14 years each August with our RV/Jeep club. We were just there about a month ago for a week and got rain then snow on the last day when we ran Poughkeepsie. Dry the wall is pretty easy, wet it’s a little slick and requires a slightly different line.
    Glad you had a good time. Enjoying the video.
    Mike

    For future reference it’s considered bad trail etiquette to “go around” an obstacle. The point is to conquer the obstacle, or take the bypass if one, or turn around.

    Amazing day! Capping it off with the turquoise alpine lake Como was icing on the cake.

    Great adventures with a great crew in some great rigs over crazy terrain. BUT... What is a Gulch? 🤔😯😳

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  3 года назад +1

      A Gulch is a narrow and steep-sided ravine marking the course of a fast stream according to the dictionary

    Thanks for the video! On the Wall bypass, is it pretty short? If some in the group didn't want to try the wall but wanted to watch is it a short distance to back track to get them back to their vehicle at the fork in the trail?

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  Год назад

      We didn't do the bypass, so I am not entirely sure. You can read about it here:

    I’m in the habit of stick checking water puddles. The offroad park by my house that used to have some huge holes. Look like a mud puddle and be 4ft deep. Others look like a huge hole and they’d be 6” deep. Just never know.

    The shot of the sign post at the very first might have been a selfie because it seems the sign was reversed from the map.

    Red Jeep stock or is he running 35's on a stock suspension? I've got a stock JLUR and I'm wondering if I could have done that wall obstacle. Also, you got the 2.0? That's exactly how my fan sounds when I'm pulling in my driveway. haha
    Also, also... what front and rear bumper do you have and rails? Love how that looks on "my" Jeep.

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  2 года назад +1

      The Red Jeep is on a 2.5" JKS lift with 35s. A stock JLUR can do the wall. I have the 3.6 in mine. The white JLUR and the red JLUR have the 2.0. On my blue Jeep, the front bumper is a Rugged Ridge and the rear is a DV8, they have both since been replaced with the Bestop Granite Series - ruclips.net/video/YsIQgi28Uqs/видео.html & ruclips.net/video/FSdbOcfNBqA/видео.html

    • @TrailTraveler
      @TrailTraveler  2 года назад

      @@mikethompson7406 They weren't worth reusing. The DV8 rear bumper was like ton foil and was bent up pretty bad and the front bumper was so twisted you couldn't put a winch on it.
