Can a foam build be just as clean as a 3D print? We figure it out while we create The Golden Owl Mask from Gotham Knights! We're really hyped for the release of the game and it was a real challenge to build a cosplay of the Voice of the Court, a mysterious member of the Court of Owls for Warner Bros Games! I wanted to create everything from scratch using only EVA foam! Have fun watching! 😁

Don't you dare torturing yourself by comparing your work with the 3D model!! This is stunning, period. Not just stunning for a foam build. Even though I personally enjoy solving the challenges of an "artisan method", yo do what you enjoy the most and we will enjoy with you 😊
1000% Agree! When she showed both side by side, the only difference I could find was the seam down the center of the feathers around the outside the face, but even with them inches apart from each other, finding that difference took me a while. If one person was wearing one and someone else was wearing the other on the opposite side of the room and you were told they were both 3d printed from the same file, you'd probably believe it no questions asked.

also, Benni absolutely killed it as the voice of the court, those final pictures look absolutely amazing, congrats to everyone involved!

Wow. That was very impressive and we finally get Benni in costume. All three of you did such great jobs. Svetlana can perfectly turn foam into anything and everything. I really enjoy watching the foam become the most amazing props. Benni makes magic with his computer by making perfect patterns from an image. His painting skills are incredible, too. Jacob made his own magic by getting that background for Benni’s picture. Honestly, you all did great.

I always loved the court of owls, their masks were so cool to look at, not to mention the powerful figures they hid behind their luminescent exterior.

I agree. I really like watching how a bunch of foam pieces can turn into the most remarkable things. I’m sure all of that sanding and waiting for primer/paint layers to dry is horribly tedious for them, but it’s so interesting and awe inspiring for us to watch it all.

amazing! the detail is phenomenal. Can really see and appreciate the work that went into it! Benny did a great job posing for the photos! Beyond _minor_ details like the feathers and the nostrils - there really isn't much of a difference between foam vs 3D print - proving that you don't need an expensive machine to produce quality props!

The details that were done with the puff paint stand out a lot more. Those details look a bit, flat, on the 3D printed mask.

@KamuiCosplay Looks so cool, I love doing metal colors with tarnish or weathering...wish all of us in Australia could watch your stream but 3am is a bit early to wake up, could you do more videos in stead of live streams, we like watching some one build/make stuff
Your channel has been a HUGE help to me! I'm completely new to the cosplay game but very familiar with 3D rendering and prototyping for work. My nephew wants a shao khan mask made to fit him and spikes for his armor. I'm going to give it a try with the EVA foam and foam clay! Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! Have you tried using faux gold leaf as metallic finish on foam and resin? It lends a far better metallic finish than any paint,even the most expensive ones. Would love to see you use duochrome/iridescent "chameleon" pigments in a project, with Your talent it would be mesmerising! ❤️
From start to finish, what a great project and object! Would I, though, be correct in saying than anyone wearing the mask would lose their binocular vision? A funny thing given the famously good vision of real owls.
