Who the hell are you to just suddenly appear on my feed and drop the coolest looking shit Ive ever seen in my life? Very impressive work and the end result is just incredible
Very few people want to pay what this work is actually worth when you consider the labor and time + the small scale of his ability to make stuff. People always say this shit to these kinds of creators, but you realize he spent a few hundred hours just printing the visor aloen.
@@thefumexxl didn't really need a whole paragraph of an explanation that it took him a while to make that, I get it, but I was just saying it to say it.
@@thefumexxlsome cosplayers WILL pay for this huge amount of money. Some of them bought cosplay helmets from one russian guy back in the mid 10s and they payed thousands just to get it from him and only him. His helmets were good, really good but this... This guy is on another level, god tier level of crafting.
honestly, a collector could have commissioned this suit for like $5000, considering the multitude of skills required, the time, and finished product, perhaps comparable to an expertly made cosplay dress that goes for thousands!
I really appreciate you showing your failures and how you learned and adapted to the results. I feel like a lotta people just put a time-lapse on for that kind of stuff but it's really nice to see what kind of work goes into making an idea come to life.
One of the things I do now is do a 20% per volume mix of high durometer flex resin to large prints, You end up with an "super resi" that is resistant to breakage and is fully machinable
People like you make me want to go and blow thousands of dollars and try to do something like this, but then I think about bills and realize that it's not plausible at the current juncture. This was amazing. I just started playing CyberPunk 2077 a couple days ago because of the Steam Summer Sale, and I'm just blown away by this game.
Your dedication to finish this project is something else but that dedication absolutely gets rewarded! The result is amazing and absolutely badass! I felt your pain through the screen with the failed prints and the piece that fell and broke 😭
HOLY HELL!! i was waiting this video XD. When you spray it with black paint, my mind literally went OOOOOOH, that how it you made the lines. Really did a amazing work!!!!
First of all this is an insanely amazing build. It definitely deserves more attention. I love the sheer dedication to recreate something that - until now - only existed on screen with such accuracy and detail. (For those who are wondering what the song during the showcase at the end is: NEFFEX - "How it's Supposed to Feel")
Best way to make the visor: engrave/cut the pattern onto a flat sheet of polycarbonate, then vacuum form it onto an FDM printed mold Then proceed according to your process of spracing and sanding. (can probably spray and sand while it's still flat actually, so you can use an electric sander).
I would also have gone with vacuum formed PETG, simply because shells from resin are so brittle (and internal tensions can make them deform and crack even long after curing). It would perhaps look a bit different but surely not worse and it would be much more durable. You would have to sand it after the vaccuum forming though, there's no chance of the paint withstanding the bending and temperature. But this result is amazingly cool either way.
@@Iguana93 Maybe with a polyurethane based paint? That should be elastic, and I think there are high temperature polyurethane spray coating for automotive applications.
@@SidekickElements Perhaps? But even the elasticity in those is meant for natural flexing in the substrate. Vacuum forming introduces huge dimensional changes.
Man, you made one of the coolest things I've ever seen... it's amazing! My most sincere congratulations, it turned out very well, and you worked so hard, you deserve all the compliments possible.
this is mental! remember seeing this on tiktok a little while back, to go from nothing to a perfect replica of something that dosen't even exist in real life is outstanding!!

The attention to detail, functionality of your Props, and the fact that you just don't give up despite the setbacks and failures ❤ You have incredible skills, your projects are fantastic and on such another level, you belong up there with the top European cosplayers 🥰🥰
This turned out very good. As for the issues with the servos, it is a well known issue with classic arduinos, the servo library uses software timers to toggle the pins, not hardware, so anything that interrupts the arduino, like interrupts or likely wireless features, or just things that take a while to complete, can affect the software timer and therefore can affect the signal being sent to the servos causing them to jitter. To fix it you can either use a servo driver board which contains hardware timers or just use a microcontroller that has hardware timers.
there's a special kind of satisfaction that comes from your ideas becoming reality. this must have been very satisfying indeed. those little stickers were a detail I appreciated too!
Your constant perseverence is actually so insanely awe-inspiring! The final design looked so good too, putting that much time into this was definitely serious dedication that payed off so well. I'm hoping your next projects are even greater than this one!
One thing you can do to make cleaning off your supports SO much easier on your resin prints is to soak the print in hot water for a few minutes before pulling off or cutting off the supports. They'll pop right off, and do less damage to the print itself. Great job on the helmet!
I appreciate another maker that goes with the process of iteration with a lot of prototypes as you get the part dialed in perfectly! It can take a lot longer and cost more but the results are very satisfying. Very nice work! I'm glad you were able to repair the visor.
Absolutely!! I actually left out a bunch of iterations that this final version depended upon. Namely - the animatronics - there were two distinct, more sleek, but unfortunately underpowered mechanisms that had to be scrapped :D
Truly awesome. It is one of the character designs that I love from 2077. Together with the armor, it is just perfect

Alcohol ink's do regrade the crosslink chains of the plastic when they are forming during the curing process. Instead what you need is a dye that is suspended in the same (similar enough) resin that you are printing with. Your prints will crumble over time. this info is from my own firsthand testing and working directly with photopolymer manufacturers. If you need to dye resin again use the CMYK colour pigment set by Monocure . Its incredibly beautiful work and you are def gaining a sub. The black on red shine through is seriously some of the best finishing work i've seen on a resin print.
This is amazing. Your CAD work is nuts. I'm struggling to make something simple like a sisters of battle helmet, and here you are with TONS of details!
Videos like these keep me motivated through all the failures and prototyping on projects. I'm working on a collapsible helmet right now and want to electronically actuate the visor but have always been intimidated by the process so this is uplifting. Printing the resin visor I thought was a bad idea on my part but seeing yours in action was such a relief to know it was in fact possible. Love seeing your work and looking forward to seeing more of your projects! Thank you!!
The attention to detail is so satisfying to watch, I really love how the transparent face shield has turned out! Too bad it ended up breaking twice, even though you made a case for it. Maybe it needed more padding on the inside? Also how cool of the developers/designers to share reference materials with you, I bet they're also very impressed by your cosplay.
1:12 "Looking cool while breathing." 🤣 What a great result, dude, and nice touch with the eye contacts. Nicely done on the process of building it. I admire your patience and follow-through!
for shipping fragile stuff, you can get those cheap a+b soft foam mix and get cheap large shipping bag from the post office. pour the a part in the bag, and pour b part in a ziplock bag and into the bag. when you need to use it, just pop the b part in the bag and itll form into whatever you need.
If you break it, you can also cosplay it and say it’s Oda but Battle Damaged, just ad maybe some red LED’s to look like fresh burn cuts along the cracks of the mask like he was hit by a thermal mantis blade or Monowire
I did some construction at an airport, installing new power.
