    It is quite a torch however the battery issue bothers me also. Nice look Mr B thank you

      Yes, I agree hope they do the battery pack concept on other models

    Thank you for the review. It is an impressive torch, but I agree that the battery should be removable so that it can be exchanged quickly to continue use, if needed. The interesting shape makes it a consideration to be added to a collector's stash, if the budget permits.

      They are fun, as you say though the battery thing is an area, I would like to see them look at design wise. The inconvenience of sending it away could be annoying. The design is quite good though

      I use a portable battery pack in addition to my TM9K to ensure I always have light, very bright light if needed. Portable chargers have become very affordable and compact.

    This flashlight yea its beautiful, very bright but yeah, the price is just to much for me, especially when I'm actually still in high school and I really want it😭😭😭

      It's fun but yes it's expensive and more than I would spend on one.

    Superb review Mr Baz,
    I agree on the battery pack idea or even individual cells. The Manker MK34 26000 lumens still uses three regular 21700 high amp cells so I’m having a hard time believing this is the way to go. Not a deal breaker though.
    The price is a bit steep, lots of mega lights at this price point.
    I own 4 Nitecore lights, great quality but they are falling behind, they need to offer some big lumen lights and get back into the monster game.
    👍

      The Manker looks interesting. I'd find the built-in cells annoying, considering the price. It's a trip back to Nitecore, so you'll be waiting a while to get it back, or you can try to DIY it. Just easier if you can replace cells. I see the TM12K is just out! Power isn't the most important thing for me, it's fun to play with, yet lasts only a short time. Things like design, UI and other areas matter too

    Nitecore just released their new TM12K! It sucks to see still a built in battery though, but it would be much cheaper compared to TM20K though lacking strobe and spotlight.

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  2 года назад +1

      I saw that seems similar, bar the body design slightly changed. 10K to 12K isn't much you'd barely notice the difference in power. I too wish that they would get rid of the built-in battery and have a better solution.
      Spot mode on this is quite useful I think, it's worth having

      @@MrBazReviews yes, I agree on the spotlight mode. But of course a removable battery is a must for a high powered flashlight like this. I think it's also the first time they've used Cree XHP50 on their tiny monster series. Makes us wonder that they'll probably use it on the future TM30K or TM40K that will easily reach that higher lumens because XHP50 is still a powerful LED compared to their standard xpl2-V6.

    Too many button/functions. I just want ON/OFF. I found it was best to stick a cree led on old MAGLITEs or even cheap plastic 2xD torch to retain simplicity.

    • @MrBazReviews

      The controls work quite well on this, there are some that have tons of presses for a single button and maybe are not so intuitive. Simplicity can work, I think Jetbeam tend to keep it simple on the UI with most of their offerings.

    Isn’t it a problem having all the buttons at the back like that? You would think that it would make more sense having the button when your finger tips are when holding it properly. It seems that switching between modes and power settings needs two hands. Strange.

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  8 месяцев назад +1

      Fair point, on the buttons. I think many makers put the controls on the base area to reduce the space used at the top, keeping it compact size (sort of). I see it on various brands.
      I see NexTorch have a rotary control and single switch on their new TA31, maybe that will work better.

    In this video you keep using TWO hands to operate the TM20K just proves that there are waaaay too many buttons/configurations. The built in battery is a deal breaker AND the fact that the main power button is at the back. The Nitecore TM28 is their best compact flashlight with 6000 lumens, turbo, strobe, removable battery and button on the side!

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  Год назад

      I am making a video I always use two hands on just about everything. You can use this single handed, it's really down to what you want.
      I try to show you as much as I can, but you have to decide if it's what you are looking for or not.

      @@MrBazReviews I have the TM20K here with me. It’s very difficult to use as a tactical flashlight with one hand because the power button in on the tail and also the tactical buttons are at the back on the tail. One if the key uses of the flashlight is self defense. If someone is about to attack you in the middle of the night it is very difficult for you to aim the flashlight at that person with one hand while pressing the tactical buttons at the same time without being forced to aim the flashlight at the floor. The tactical buttons should have been on the side. Of course it’s easy to use the flashlight the way YOU are doing so because you are making a video, and of course, as you mentioned you always use two hands on just about everything, like baking a cake for example or washing your hands. But in a REAL WORLD SITUATION you will have a very difficult time using THE NITECORE TM20K flashlight with one have if you have to defend yourself in a dangerous encounter with someone, since one if the KEY USES of this flashlight is self defense

      @@dakotaxu4792 You're better off passing your thoughts onto Nitecore. I might have a different view on things compared to you and that's fine, but the TM range to me has been more about power and probably less about practical uses, but of course you make some reasonable points.

    This flashlight is by far the worst flashlight I have ever purchased. It never comes on when I need it. What a waste. A very frustrating Piece of waste. Yes, even when fully charged, I cannot get it to come on even in broad daylight just practicing to get it to come on. Garbage.❌️❌️👎

      If you have a problem like that aka a faulty product you need to get in touch with the seller. I just review items, obviously you have an issue there so get some help from the seller or ask Nitecore.
