Who Tee Who...... I just watched this video. To be honest I have watched many videos on the Hi-Point and they spend more time talking about what they don't like about them. So thank you for just focusing your video on shooting it.
I live close to the Hi-Point plant, I used to frequent there after I got off work, My cousin worked there and introduced me to the owner and inventor of the H.P.s. He was TOP NOTCH. A good friend. ( TOM DEEB ) You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer guy. Look up his obituary, I liked and owned his Guns before I met him. But hearing him speak about his love of America ( he was a veteran ) and his passion for living , helped my love for his Guns.
My dad has an older one....it's the size of a cordless drill, but it shoots! It still makes me laugh and I think it's awesome that Wies the beast has a RUclips Chanel.
Great video......i've been having a couple of hi points for a year now.....brand new from a Academy Sports......380 & 45......shot both this pass weekend for CCW license for first time......flawless shooting from both emergency equipment....both under $150.....brand new !!!
Bought my Hi-Point .45 about 12 years ago. Mentioned how well it worked on a survivalist website once . You would have thought I boiled puppies for fun. If I'd have been in person there they'd have stoned me. I just kept shooting it and kept liking it. I put the ghost ring sight on it. I've never had so much as a stove pipe with it. Not the most concealable gun in the world. (you'd actually have better luck concealing a Remington 870 with a goose barrel) If you're looking for an affordable gun that just keeps shooting the Hi-point is it. Thanks.
Chuck Bowen hey I hear ya! The thing runs good and has given me absolutely zero problems whatsoever! Everyone loves to hate it however. I have an alien hear iwb holster thst actually conceals it fairly well. I am 6'6" and a pretty big guy though. Thanks for stopping by!
I've got a Galco paddle holster. What model alien gear are you using? If they made a flush fit mag for the .45 it would knock about 3/4" off the heighth. Still wouldn't be petite by any means but it would help.
@@WHOTEEWHO I carry my 45HP in a cheap uncle Mike's iwb holster concealed. Size 5. I just tighten my belt good and wear my shirt untucked. No one notices it. I carry my C9 in a hip holster concealed. It is actually smaller than some of my other pistols I carry.I dint have a problem carrying my HP's.
I finally got to check one of these out at a gun show today. Didn't get to shoot it of course, but did get to see how well it fit my hand, and frankly it was the best fit in the joint. Price was only 195 as well, but alas I had to buy tires the day before and any extra cash I had got ate up by that. When the hell did tires get so damn expensive?
The Day GLOCK and all the other Big gun makers put out reliable guns at this price point :They May have room to judge ... till then : Hipoint is leading the pack in arming working class citizens ( even those with below minimum wage budgets) with decent pistols and carbines . God bless Hipoint!!!
+Danny Mcclusky I try to put out a video or two every week as often as I can. Sometimes life gets in the way. Love to get feedback on what people want to see next time
You know, it is funny how people believe the Hi Point is Junk or Cheap. As I mentioned before, Inexpensive does not mean cheap. Yes, for about $200 you can buy the .45 JHP. It is a no frills gun. Not a high luster blue finish or satin nickel. Just a plain old matte or Parkerized finish. Simple design, but designed to function well and shoot every time. Some of the high priced semi autos have failure rates far exceeding the Hi Point because of maybe too close of tolerances where a little dirt or dust can cause problems. I like mine for sure. I also discovered in the last couple of years some other inexpensive brands which work perfectly. Either I have been lucky or have just discovered brands which deliver what they promise without all of the bells and whistles. For example. I discovered the Heritage Rough Rider. The .22 LR/.22Mag Combo. I purchased three of them for plinking. I have 2, 4 1/2 inch barrel models and 1, 3 1/2 inch model with a birdhead grip. Fixed sights on all of them and perfect shooting out of all three. One ended up going to my son in law as a present and he loves shooting his. Another example of inexpensive quality is the Armscor RIA Model 200 & 206 .38 Special revolvers. They are both on the same size frame as the Colt Police Positive and the Colt Detective Special. The D size HKS Speed Loader is a perfect fit. Good shooting and accurate right out of the boxes. I called RIA in Nevada and they told me both models can handle + P ammunition but just don't use a steady diet of them. I have a box of + Ps but have not fired them yet. I did put a few boxes of .38 Special, 130 Grain FMJ, standard velocity through them and with their fixed sights, those rounds hit right on. Smooth action and comfortable shooting. Finally as far as inexpensive revolvers go, I purchased a Heritage 4 1/2 inch barrel .357 Magnum revolver which looks like the Colt 1873. It has a beautiful blued finish and the smoothest action. even though it says Heritage Revolvers, Miami, FL, It has stamped on the barrel, manufactured by Pietta Firearms of Italy. Pietta and Uberti are well known and respected makers of early American firearm clones. I got a Hell of a deal on that .357 and I can tell you it is a well balanced, sweet shooting revolver whether you fire hot .357 rounds or just regular .38 Specials. So like the Hi Point, there are other brands out there which may not be so well known that put out a quality product but just doesn't have all of the extras. In other words, you get a worker in casual clothes instead of one dressed up in a tuxedo. The Hi Point started it out for me to look at other brands which do not have big names but have big potential.
