Thank you for this one. I'm a meat lover, but with prices the way they are, I'm barely eating it once a month. Always appreciate grain/bean/frozen veg options to amp up what my garden is producing. Here is my best budget tip that I suspect will be novel. You can get 8 oz of Great Value Smoked Sea Salt for $4.84. That's expensive for salt, but about half what you'd find elsewhere for smoked salt. When cooking in the air fryer, especially for meatless meals, it adds an amazing savory grilled flavor.

I had a 2 lb pkg of ground beef to cook. So I did it in 2 batches 1 lb at a time. The first lb, I followed your lead and put foil on the bottom. It was a pain to scoop the meat out and then have to deal with the greasy grate and the teeny pieces of meat that fell through, etc. So, the next batch I put the meat directly into the bottom of the pan and cooked it down there. Then used the grate by putting it over the cooked meat (as a fitted strainer), held it in place and poured the grease into my grease can and it was a lot less messy.
I am addicted to your videos. Thank you for sharing all of your recipes and secrets!

You're definitely an amazing lady here with air fryer cooking Kathy! Love watching you and your sweet kids throughout your videos. We got an air fryer gifted to us last Christmas and have been using it for a few things. There's just the two of us, now, but I would have loved to have this appliance when I was cooking for my family. So great of you to spend your time sharing all you do and I thank you. I do find I have used the air fryer more than the instapot we got 2 years ago. ❤

I recently found canned black beans with jalapeño by Ortega. All Mexican seasonings are included. I sliced Turkey Cheddar sausage and air fried until they where a bit toasty. Added the beans, lightly drained, and air fried until hot. Topped with cheese to melt. It came out delicious! I had found the case of beans on Amazon, about $1 a can, the sausage on sale for $3.99. This made 2 good sized meals for me.

I discovered something interesting with the Cosori 5.8 qt. I had to buy a new basket, because the handle broke away from the basket. I found out if that happens, save the handle! If you want to cook food without the basket, the handle comes in handy to still use the air fryer.

Hi Cathy - thank you for teaching me how to use my air friers (yes, I own two Cosoris now)! I love your videos and cookbook! My money saver is my small, but mighty hand held FoodSaver sealer. I love the concept of the FoodSaver, but don’t always love the big machine (no room on my counter) and making my own bags. I found the little rechargeable hand held and buy the pre-made “zip lock” bags that go with it. The pre made bags are an investment, but I wash them well, air dry them and use them many times. The money I save on tossing out freezer burned food more than makes up for the cost of the bags. Thanks again! ❤️

If we don’t have the dual blaze, on recipes where you take the grate out, would an aluminum pan in our regular air fryers have a similar effect?

Two questions: 1) when using the Pyrex baking dish, how in the world do you get it out of the air fryer without burning your fingers/hands? 2) I cook for one. Thank you and your viewer for that info. The nuts and bolts thing sounded weird to me after I posted it. I hope it didn't sound TOO stupid. Do you think it will be OK to place some strategically placed (clean) hardware (I'm thinking some nuts from the Lowe's hardware aisle) to keep my parchment liner from being sucked into the heating element. If your concerned about cost, avoid expensive frozen foods, especially veg. Prep time is longer but fresh quality is superior. Napa cabbage and broccoli are great portion stretchers. Ramein are nutritionally useless. Pork is always on sale somewhere. Chicken thighs are cheaper and better than breasts. Shop multiple stores for the sales. Make ice tea or lemonade instead of soda.
That's where the real savings are! Love my AF!

I do for each meal that may get a little messy (but find I don't do that too often). They are basically finger holes to lift the tray out.

Comment: For more flavor, use spaghetti sauce instead of tomato or pizza sauce.
    From KetoTwins channel:
For quick pizza, use a flour tortilla as the crust. Spray it with oil, and air fry it to firm it up ( or fry in pan on stove).
Then add sauce (I like tomato & basil spaghetti sauce), cheese, toppings. Cook around 4-5 min @ 380.
This can also be keto if you use a keto tortilla and sauce,. Entire pizza can come in at under 10 net carbs.

This has nothing to do with the recipes lol but we bought and LOVE our cosori air fryer thanks to you :) I think it’s the cosori pro? Anywho can you give any tips on how to touch the buttons so they work? I find myself cursing at the fryer because half the time touching the button pad doesn’t seem to do anything as far as change prompts. Is there a secret to how I should be touching this? (Sorry that last sentence reads a little weird🤣😆)

Thank you for the smaller serving recipes. I only cook for one and dividing recipes is not as easy as it sounds.
