Hi there, I just got my first air fryer yesterday. I had gotten the Cosori 5.8QT XL air fryer . I have a question. I've seen on some of the youtube videos of making frozen chicken breasts where the person in the video uses cooking oil spray on the frozen chicken breasts and onto the basket. Is this ok? Can i use original Pam cooking spray?
@Ivan Velez You can get any high smoke point oil like olive oil or avocado oil and add it to an oil sprayer like Mistifi (amzn.to/3qwV2Of) and use that to spray your foods and air fryer basket. OR, just pour a little oil unto your foods/air fryer basket and just make sure it covers everything.
@@empoweredcooks ok great thanks for the info. gonna make frozen purdue chicken breasts now. about what temperature and time is good to cook the frozen chicken breasts?
@Ivan Velez You could start with 360°F/180°C for 15 minutes, no need to preheat. After 15 minutes, flip the chicken and cook for an additional 8 minutes. Then add more time as needed until the chicken comes to temperature. I have a frozen chicken recipe here fabulesslyfrugal.com/recipes/air-fryer-frozen-chicken/

Wanting to buy my first AF - the 2 I’m looking at are Cosori CS158 & CP358. Which would you recommend? (I read there was a silicone plug issue with the CP358?)
Hi Claudia! I have owned both and I love the CP358 just a bit more. The silicone plug issue has shown up on the wifi models. I have inspected my basket/pan and there is no silicone plug. I like the CP358 a bit more because it has a shake reminder button and I can program the presets. Plus I think it opens and closes a little bit smoother. They both cook exactly the same though. :) Hope that helps! Here's my affiliate link to the CP358, if you're so inclined to buy it! :) (It's on sale right now, but I suspect the price will drop around Black Friday, based on what happened last year: amzn.to/2QtgPHq)
Do you have a recipe for breakfast potatoes / hash browns with peppers. I have tried just not getting the results like frying in a pan with oil and lots of time. Thanks. Skeeter
Just learning how to use an air fryer but can you make a video for how to make meatball sub with frozen meatballs in an air fryer adding provolone cheese and pepperoni...its the time I'm not sure of
Hi there, I have been using my air fryer for a few days now. One thing is time consuming when you want to cook burgers, and fries all separate. What I mean its 15 minutes for burgers then I have to take it out and then the fries in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes while the burgers are sitting aside waiting for the fries to get done. by the time the fries are done the burgers would otherwise be cold. I might think about buying a second air fryer. Also how can I set teperature to say like 375 degrees? cause it only does increments of tens say like 380, then next up 390, etc,....
Hi Ivan. Yes, not all foods can be cooked at the same time in the air fryer, so it does make things a little tricky. That's why I love to have multiple air fryers. To answer your temperature question- you will want to round up to the next nearest temp (you could also round down if you'd like) and then just keep an eye on things and adjust the cooking time as needed. I hope this helps.
I've been enjoying your videos tremendously and I can't wait to get your cookbook is there anyway that you can send me the site to get the recipe book and how do I pay it with a credit card I love the way you do that recipes I enjoy so much
Hi Cathy how much is the avocado oil that you use in your spray bottles? I found the same brand you use a 1 litre bottle for $46 then I did a bit more searching and found the same brand 1 litre bottle on eBay for $35. Is it really this expensive for avocado oil in the US?
Thyme and sage are both good substitutes that are similar to rosemary. Since the recipe calls for both of those as well, you could just add a little extra of each.
Hi Cathy! So I forward a lot of your videos to our 5 family Pokemon Go group LOL - no judgement zone! BUT I just bought my ex-husband an Air Fryer for Christmas - was actually delivered today. He's very excited. BUT NOW HE'S CALLED ME TWICE ASKING FOR IDEAS and it's only noon and he's had it for an hour! I don't want to have to block him ... Can you either make a collab of easy cooking for 1 videos or make a 1 basket EASY bachelor meals cooking ideas? I already divorced him once ... don't make me do it again! As always - thank you for all you do and the time it takes to make these videos.
I need to find a good oven style one! I've tested one out and I didn't think it was that good... it didn't even have a fighting chance! Which one do you recommend?
@@empoweredcooks Well I live in Sweden so I am not sure that the ones we have here is available in the US. But we have one popular here that is called Hamilton Beach and I think its the same one sold in Usa under the name: Vortex 5 in 1 air fryer :-)
Hello! I've seen that you've done in the past a mac n cheese recipe. So, it is 100% safe to use liquids in the airfryer, right? I'm asking this because you've used liquid heavy whipping cream for the mac n cheese. I own the same airfryer as you, in the same size. I guess that we have to cover with aluminium foil the container in which we cook the food with the liquid, so that it is safe and secure. I don't know but I've always thought that it is not okay to use liquids and I just want to be 100% sure 😂
My air fryer is a 5.8qt, so I am sure it will work in yours. Perhaps you may have to do smaller proportions, just keep an eye on your food- you got this!
If you just did the maple & bacon without the sprouts, I would inhale it............ also, I have an air fryer, but it's a 2.6, much smaller, and it's factory set to 400 F. How can I adjust these recipes??
I would try contacting your air fryer's manufacturer/customer support for how to adjust the temp, that doesn't seem right that there is only one temperature you can cook at.
You should have made small knife slits so the seasoning is carried through the beast.Oh, and I would use minced garlic. Now let's go, I'll get back to you afterwards...
Hi Cathy or Kathy (sorry I don't know) I have followed you for some time. I have learned so much about my air fryer but I want to ask a question unrelated if I may? Do you have any tips for curing bacon at home? I have tried but something went wrong

@@empoweredcooks thank you, your response was extremely helpful. I’m new to your channel so I have lots to view and learn from you. Thank you 😊
@@claudiar4235 Glad you are here!
Do you have a recipe for breakfast potatoes / hash browns with peppers. I have tried just not getting the results like frying in a pan with oil and lots of time.
Thanks. Skeeter
I have not tried this, sorry.
Thanks
Thx for watching!
Just learning how to use an air fryer but can you make a video for how to make meatball sub with frozen meatballs in an air fryer adding provolone cheese and pepperoni...its the time I'm not sure of
I do some frozen meatballs in this video! ruclips.net/video/6oS7s7jwPvM/видео.html
@@empoweredcooks thank you
I've been enjoying your videos tremendously and I can't wait to get your cookbook is there anyway that you can send me the site to get the recipe book and how do I pay it with a credit card I love the way you do that recipes I enjoy so much
Hi Delores, you can get an online cook book here: www.yummyairfryerrecipes.com.
Mine has trays in it. Can u give tips on it ?
Hi Connie, just be mindful of where you place the tray. And if you are using two, be sure to rotate the position in the air fryer oven.
Do You Do Any Low Carb Recipes ?Thanks!
I have it right here: ruclips.net/video/58V0nkaYmfI/видео.html :)
Question I just order a cosori air fryer what size parchment paper I looked on Amazon it only has 8.5 and mine that I orders is the XL 5.8 size
That one works!
I just ordered mine yesterday but I got the XL One
That should work great!
What size and brand air fryer you use
Hi Tanya - right here! amzn.to/2QtgPHq
Have you use air fry a Cornish game hen or duck or goose?
Hi Cathy how much is the avocado oil that you use in your spray bottles? I found the same brand you use a 1 litre bottle for $46 then I did a bit more searching and found the same brand 1 litre bottle on eBay for $35. Is it really this expensive for avocado oil in the US?
Yikes! Nope, it's not at all! I buy a huge bottle from Costco and I think it's around $13?
My son is allergic to rosemary. What is a good substitute?
Thyme and sage are both good substitutes that are similar to rosemary. Since the recipe calls for both of those as well, you could just add a little extra of each.
@@empoweredcooks Thank you.
😂 that is sooo funny! Tell him to just use any of my recipes, but cut them down by half, and he can eat leftovers for a few days. :)
@@empoweredcooks If he was that smart - maybe he wouldn't be divorced ... twice
I want to try butcher box but some of the reviews if there is a problem concern me. Thoughts?
I've been getting it for a few months now and have been happy with every box I've gotten!
I would live to see a video when you compare owen style airfryer with basket style airfryer😀😀
Yes, it's totally fine!
Can this work in a 5qt air fryer ?
My air fryer is a 5.8qt, so I am sure it will work in yours. Perhaps you may have to do smaller proportions, just keep an eye on your food- you got this!
Can you use microwave dishes in the air fryer also?
Only if it's oven safe, so some plastics that are microwave safe wouldn't be good in the air fryer.
Thank you
If you just did the maple & bacon without the sprouts, I would inhale it............ also, I have an air fryer, but it's a 2.6, much smaller, and it's factory set to 400 F. How can I adjust these recipes??
I would try contacting your air fryer's manufacturer/customer support for how to adjust the temp, that doesn't seem right that there is only one temperature you can cook at.
I L❤️VE pork.... thank you for your time and for sharing this "jummy in my tummy" recipe. regards from South Africa 🌍
Hi Richie, it's Cathy with a C :) and I am so sorry, but I don't know anything about curing bacon at home. :(
@@empoweredcooks Thanks for reply Cathy, it was a bit of a long shot!
@@Richie90090 Good luck!
Most temperatures I have found are incorrect as I have to lower the temp and time on most protein items otherwise overcooked indeed.
Each air fryer is slightly different, so things may need to be adjusted according to your individual needs!
Can you make a Ramen noodle in air fryer?
U r amazing!!!!!
Aw, thank you!
How is the new air fryer going
I'm still deciding on it. :) Stay tuned though!
