I just can not thank you enough for these videos but, I will thank you by buying your cookbook! I have a very food picky teenage son and getting him involved in cooking, especially with the air fryer, has really opened him up to trying new and different foods. I got the idea from you cooking with Logan and now my son and I look forward to your videos. Thank you again and I hope 2023 is full of blessings for you and your family.

Congratulations! So many young people these days (yes, I'm old now!) have no idea how to cook. It's one of those subjects that I think should be required in school. I was lucky in that both my parents worked and my sister was in high school, while I was in middle school. I was the first one home, so there would be a menu and instructions on the fridge and I would put the dinner on. When my sister came home she'd check to make sure everything was okay. About a month later she stopped checking! I must have been the only 13 year old boy who was excited that he'd gotten an electric wok for his birthday.
One of the best "gifts" you can ever give your child is the knowledge and experience that they can use to take care of themselves. Cooking is high on this list as it's not terribly difficult and can save you lots of money. After all it's always easier to make it yourself than to go to a restaurant. And if you teach him how to make his own "fast food" from scratch (rather than frozen bags of stuff) he will even eat better and can adjust the flavor to his liking.
      Congratulations again!

Okay, the holiday season is over, but one of the things that I love about it that I don't eat very often is roasted potatoes because it takes a long time. However, I was shopping in ALDI the other week and a bag of Small Dutch Yellow Potatoes caught my eye and my brain made a connection I wasn't even thinking about. The little potatoes would roast up rather quickly, especially in the air fryer. Yes, they're a little expensive, but worth it!
So, I take a bunch of them and cut them in half. Put them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Stir them up with a fork. Then I sprinkle on some Garlic powder. Stir. Sprinkle on some Onion Powder. Stir. Sprinkle on some Rosemary. And Stir. Then I pour these into half of my air fryer and spread them around. On the other half I put a couple of chicken breasts (Red Bag Chicken). Cook the whole mess at 330F for about 25 minutes and then up the temperature to 400F for the last 5 minutes.
With a nice brioche bun and a slice of pickle you end up with a very nice Chick sandwich and some tater roasties!
I love my Cosori Air Fryer!
I also stumbled across a RUclipsr from the UK (my home before moving to the US 50 years ago) who cooks traditional UK food in the Air Fryer. I have cooked his recipe for "Toad in the Hole" and even though it uses a batter it turned out great! It's basically air fried sausages that are then placed in a hot pan and covered with Yorkshire Pudding batter and cooked until the batter is finished. It turned out great!
Love your channel and get lots of ideas about things to cook watching you and the kids in the kitchen.

I found the trick to cooking fresh broccoli in the air fryer is to microwave it in a covered dish for about 4 minutes first, then spritz with a little oil and sprinkle your favorite seasonings over it (I like lemon pepper or chili lime). Cook it in the air fryer at 350º for however many minutes it takes until it starts to brown!

I'm very new to air fryers. It's been just a week now and I've learnt a lot from you already.
I'm completely in love with my air fryer and I was just blown away by how many different things it can make and how well.
As I'm so new, the things that didn't come out as well were mostly newbie errors. Although I've heard that too, that batters don't come out in air fryers
What has been amazing so far is banana chocolate chip muffins, Swedish meatballs, your Perfect Air Fryer Steak (which is my favourite way to make steaks now), chicken wings, baked potatoes, and some beef fajitas I made tonight.

Air fryer Pro-Tip #97: If it's supposed to be crispy when it comes out, give it a spritz with some olive oil. Not only will that help it get super crispy, it'll allow any seasoning you choose to put on it before it goes in a place to stick to.

As long as it's out of some sort of spritz bottle, or spray can (yes, there's olive oil in spray cans), and not rolled around in a vat of oil first, everything will be fine. It is, after all, only air.

OMG! I just realized this is the first video to get put on my update page! Why haven't I noticed I wasn't getting your videos sent to me before???? Geez.
I see you have a budding jr. chef to help you out now!!! Sweet!!!
I do LOTS of fries with toppings in my AF, but I never thought of taco seasoning!!! YUM!!! I usually just do cheese, onions, and chili.
"You wanna make that a cheese burger"? LOL You had to ask that? HA HA HA
If you want some super nice steamed rice..............instead of water, use veggie stock, chicken stock, or beef stock.
If you want fresh veggies, including broccoli, you need to marinate them in something first, or you need to spray them with a flavored oil or butter so they dont burn, and cook them on a lower temp for longer. More often than not, it's best to bake them in a covered baking dish.....or just wrap them up in a foil "bowl".
You can do a wet batter in the AF, but it has to be REALLY, REEEALLLY thick.......and whatever you are baking needs to be frozen when you batter it up. This is something that people who've been cooking for years can do, not many newbies or part timers can do it, because you have to know whatever ever it is you are cooking battered, will cook fully by the time the batter is done, so it doesn't burn, and/or be raw inside.
There's some adjusting to do, so you have to keep that in mind.
Another option is, for liquid batters..........dip your piece in the batter, then roll it in crumbs. I find that chicken works really well (for me anyway) with this method, as I can put some italian herb croutons in my food processor and then use that as my crumb mixture. The crust on the chicken is soooooo gooood!
Again, this is something long time cooks should be able to do, but newbies would have to practice to get it right.

I have a halogen oven that also came with the bread rack. Not much use for making toast because the bread bends over and really just dries out rather than toasts. I do use it, though. As a toast rack. Stops the toast from sweating on the plate.

Love Kathy's cookbook & my Cosori Dual Blaze air fryer but I really would like recipes using functions other than "air fryer". The DB doesn't come with recipes; only an app that has been less than inspiring. Thanks!

A tip for breaking eggs. Hit it off a flat surface instead. It stops any shell getting into it

Opinions and taste totally differ but I love broccoli in the air fryer. I was worried that it would burn (and it did slightly) but it was delicious and crispy. It reminded me of the Trader Joe’s freeze dried broccoli which I loooove

Love to roast veggies in the air fryer with a little avocado oil, salt and optional other seasonings. Don't like steak as it doesn't sear well enough at 400F.

Melting cheese on spice fries is a great idea. Was not sure if the fries were already cooked and the cheese was added later or if you were cooking the fries and cheese at the same time. You only cooked them for 4 min. Is that enough time to cook the fries? BTW, I am new to using an air fryer. Love your channel.

Guess y'all haven't heard that we shouldn't crack eggs on the edge of a bowl. I quit doing it that way and now simply tap the egg on something flat, such as on a cutting board or on a paper towel or wax paper on my counter.

Heard it, tried it and will continue to use the edge of bowl/pan. Very rare to have a shell make it into the food, and when it does super easy to remove with the shell; amazing how the smallest of pieces are attracted like a magnet! I don’t like having egg mess on the counter which seems to happens more frequently than a stray shell fragment in the bowl. Appreciate that we all have our own methods in cooking, sharing, learning, and gaining confidence.
