Good afternoon Mel from Georgia. Just checking you channel, everything looks good so far. One thing, I know you said EVAPORATED milk for the Mac & Cheese, but I had a friend that actually used SWEETENED condensed milk by accident once. You can only imagine how that came out.

I use golden mushroom soup in my green bean casserole and love it. I wasn't fond of the green been casserole until I started using the golden mushroom soup.
I have never used the Golden mushroom, I don't know if I've even seen it in years, but you know I haven't even thought about that soup on a long time. Thanks for sharing this awesome tip and for watching
Our family recipe for green bean casserole has a twist…we use 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can cream of chicken, & the best is…cream of cheddar cheese! 😋. The cheese sauce adds so much more flavor.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and my very favorite meal!!! I’m blessed to have my son and his family to celebrate with, but I will check my Aldi and see if they have the same turkey breast that you show here. I’m not opposed to having Thanksgiving dinner all year long! These recipes you shared will be a joy for me to cook!

Thanks for all the prayers for my friend’s husband. Les went home to be with Jesus yesterday, a month to the day after her daddy. Please continue to lift this family in prayer. After 41 years together, she’s feeling lost. I’m so glad she has a strong relationship with her Heavenly Father and that He will be her strength and comfort. We were already craving thanksgiving food so we made it last night! 😂 we bought the same smaller turkey breast but I made all of the sides! Green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, homemade yeast rolls and I actually made a purple sweet potato casserole that turned out amazing! We’re still planning on having thanksgiving dinner of course, but we just wanted it sooner ❤ it’s a lot of work for sure but so worth it!
I love this! No rule we can't have that awesome menu more than once a year!

Momma Mel; I watched Falon from Moss family tv microwave her sweet potatoes for a minute to make it easier to chop. Hope that helps!

1-28oz. green beans and 1 can cr. mushroom soup, french fried onions mix well put in a covered cassarole dish put in microwave for 7min. then stir and put more onion and cook uncovered for 3min. and they are done. I love the taste and it is so quick

Mel, I love each recipe! It amazes me how u can turn a crockpot into do all that! I was thinking part way thru, I hope that dear Mom who's living in a hotel gets to see this one, she's been in my heart and I pray for her all the time. I have a tender place in my heart for the hotel folks who can't afford a home & apartments are too steep for them. But for God's great grace to me, I might be in that same place. I have a sister who is allergic to Mushrooms so in our green bean casserole we use cream of chicken soup instead, I also use frozen beans not canned, I just leave them to unthaw in the refrigerator overnight. They have a nice crunch and taste more like fresh green beans. Blessings and Prayers thanks for the new recipes will be trying them for sure

I hate to peel and cut sweet potatoes. Walmart sells bags of frozen sweet potatoes already peeled and cubed. That's what I use now -- so much faster

I always bake the sweet potatoes in the oven, let them cook & pull skins off, mash & add other ingredients.
Me too. I was just trying to figure out if I could cook them in the crockpot first. Then pull off the skin and add the rest of the ingredients. I’m going to try it. I hate to use the oven. It is rarely cold where I live. I’m going to try it.

You can also put your turkey in broth. I always do that with all my turkey meat. Really makes it moist

The outside plastic netting n the turkey can also be used as a scrubber.

Why would you cook the turkey with the netting? It could impart toxins to the meat when heated, especially if it’s plastic.
Sweet potatoes, I like to add chopped pecans and shredded pineapple, then would add mini marshmallows and mix and done. Happy Thanksgiving all and stay patient when necessary, and always be blessed.
That sounds delicious, I've never thought about pineapple 🍍 😋 But I have added a little coconut before-I love it but the rest of the family not so much 🤣

I have a roaster we purchased form walmart a few years back which I plan on cooking my turkey in but I was stressing about my sides! You are so welcome! There is always a reason God lays certain topics on my mind - as silly as that sounds - I know without a doubt it's true. Thank you for sharing this with me and I hope you can get your oven fixed soon. But it sounds like you are making do just fine, my oven went out a few years ago and I bought an air fryer (one that looks like a small toaster oven, you can fit a pizza or small casserole dish in it to bake) and it saved us for a couple weeks until the new mother board came from Amazon and my hubby got it fixed. Gotta be creative sometimes - I made a whole video about cooking without an oven, here it is it might help you, too. At one time I had an electric roast that could cook many ways and several crockpots. Don’t you know I did not turn my stove on once!! Lol it was me and 2 kids so we were good with it. Easy clean up too

Love the lava cakes but I'm not sure about pumpkin and chocolate together. I might use vanilla or butterscotch pudding and white chocolate chips.

I can't really stand green bean casserole either, but I'll give this a shot. Now, I've been doing that same size turkey breast for years. I use my 27 year old round crockpot and just and envelope of dry onion soup. I guess try a round one. Thinking it's a "tighter" fit. And that pumpkin cake...well I just packed on some "extra" ❤😉
PS: just about like you, I've got 3 slow cookers, and they are a staple in my kitchen. I cannot survive without them 😊

Love doing the crockpot thanksgiving meals. We find it helps a lot. We also do our dressing in them. Our oven only gets the rolls and the pineapple/cheese casserole now.
That is awesome! And I have been wanting to try that pineapple cheese casserole for years now and I somehow keep passing it over - next year for sure!
