So, each swarm, has its own dino level this effects how long it will take to tame the Megachelon while also they swarm him, Salmon will spawn and eat the swarm an it will lose taming bar how I fought this was hang around with a pike and stab, I also learned if you unload him "the area" it will not spawn salmon and you can watch your tribe log for "tame megachelon" yes the swarms are annoying but it is a good method for how strong these are, Also they do not go away you can stash swarms in spots like I did then lure a turtle to it.

I gotta try that method...What we did in our tribe was build a cage under our ocean platform and then lead the fish swarm to the Megachelon...once the passive taming process began we used Bloodstalkers on the platform to web and reel in the salmon that go after the swarm!!
Have you tried trapping and then kiting the fish? Might be easier to defend with behes between him and bad guy. Isn't there a loss in taming efficiency using knock out?
ok so what I did yesterday was feed it one mejo berry and I teleported away with HLNA and left the area and went East, spent a few afk and then went to arctic and was probably an hr later but when I was just heading back to the ocean my turtle got killed by a lvl 50 megalodon at lvl 195! I was like "wtf I tamed a turtle holy shit!" I was amazed but also disappointed that I didn't find it earlier. this was also on 1x on official.
What my friend and i did was to hunt the annoying salmons w a bloodstalker and i deal w the mantas and megalodons ridding a basilosaurus, a baryonyx also should work

This Mathis is inaccurate because the higher levels have up to 90.000 torpor with lvl 40 tho so you have to find a swarm of fish they spawn near the Mosa hight then when they are near the turtle they will just go to it an then it’s taming but you have to secure the Megachelion bec if it get damaged it loses all of the taming process an the fish swarm will be attacked by salmons and coles which have high health but easy to kill with a water creature and it needs max 30 min to tame a level 140 it’s so easy and u can do it at level 1 but the saddle is at level 45 hope I can prevent people of wasting their time farming narcs for the 90k torpor
Dont waste ur time i wasted like 200 tranqs on a max level. Ive tamed a few. Best way is to get the school of fish on them and trap them in behes. Now i dont know why this works but if you go far a away the trap just before u lose render for some reason no dinos attack it and all you have to do is wait.
Built a pen trapped one they found a school of swarm the used a grapel hook on my Dino gate the school tamed him with no damages now I got a 220 from a 145 lol on a 200% boosted sever still took 1 hours an 40 minutes tho
Sorry to say but it´s NOT the only way to Tame them ! Like someone wrote, kiting the fish school to it,which is maybe a bit stupid to do and always make sure that NOTHING attacks the Turtle works fine, just takes "depending on server Rates" some time.

i tested this today and this method is not working as you can not access the inventory when it's knocked out.
So does this tame method only work on a mod or can you do this in the base game?
I managed to tame a lvl 15 one of these with the passive technique. It took way too long so I came onto YT looking for new methods.

I believe that leaving render it had eventually got a swarm on it or something and it just tamed passively by itself while I was out.
there was also a maintenance an hr later so idk if that fixed it but this is on PS4

False i KO one and it refused me. Swarm only tame but the swarm wont lock on or show up
Only way I was able to passive tame mine was when he was on one of the islands on the ocean map. I think they have to be on land
