Love the shifter. Also - I'm glad you put the Touring back on. I will definitely be getting both the AWE Touring Axle Back + Xpipe... It sounds so perfect (much better than the Track). I think I've watched 1000 videos on different C7 exhaust options.. Borla, Corsa, Texas speed, all of the usual suspects, and nothing sounds as good (at least on video) as your setup.

I couldn’t decide between the flat stick or stock knob setup on my MGW, so I bought both and have swapped them a couple times already. GREAT SHIFTER! I had a Laguna Blue Z51, and now an Admiral Blue Grand Sport and honestly could not pick which I like better. AWESOME LOOKING CARS!
Five12 Garage - Love both options for sure, but it boils down to two thing (for me, IMO) 1)The flat stick looks better 2)The stock knob feels better With that, I overall prefer the stock knob, BUT ONLY SLIGHTLY! One thing I did to make swapping easy was to trim the boot frame that snaps into the console. The tabs lock in too hard so I rounded the teeth on the tabs. Now I can pull the boot out just like the C5 (without removing anything). With that, total swap time is maybe 10min! Great channel man, I loved seeing JT’s reaction!

laguna blue nice..i got a 19 zo6 with a manuel transm...completly stoc other than a monza 3 " xpipe with the sec. cats delted...sebring orange with the expossed carbon fiber all over..love it so much more than my grand sport with the autom...is this shifter really make it shift better??? n how..why???
Hi Scott, I've been on the fence about this Shifter is it really worth it? I have a 2019 Z06 and so far the mods I've done are Tony Mamo Ported Throttle, GM Intake, and and Intake Tube. Please let me know your thoughts thank you.
So I think anytime you can upgrade a contact point that transmits feedback to the driver is a good thing. Ultimately it’s personal preference, but I can honestly say the MGW shifter is a noticeable improvement over the stock unit. Zero play, no sloppiness and you can feel the shifter click firmly into gear. I think it’s worth the cost. And, these shifters hold their value. So if you decide you don’t like it, you can probably get most of your investment back selling it on eBay.

Hey Scott, what are your thoughts about an MGW short through shifter in a 02 Z06. MGW looks like the most popular shifter over Hurst, B&M and Hinson. Install seem pretty much straight forward, but I have heard that the MGW can be pretty stiff and there is talk out their about the anti venom mod which smooths things out. Do you have thoughts on the anti venom washers? Thanks for the video.
Hey Rich, thanks for the question. If it means anything, I'm considering the MGW in my '99FRC. Haven't had the time to even think about it lately. But ultimately I'd love to replace the stock shifter with the MGW unit. It really all depends on what type of feel you're looking for. Because the shifter is a constant contact point when you're driving, it dictates a part of the overall feel of the car. This was true immediately when I put the stiffer Corbeau Evo X's in the FRC. I felt so much more connected to the driving experience. The anti-venom mod is an improvement for sure. But if you like that positive, mechanical, no-slop feel, a short throw is the only solution. Haha! I met a few disgruntled wives at Carlisle this year. LOL. The install is pretty straightforward. The most difficult part is getting the dyno mat between the brake lines and onto the torque tube.
I did! I made a few changes lately in preparation of something new that I’ll be launching on the channel soon. So stay tuned! BTW...I kinda feel like living under a rock for a bit wouldn’t be all that bad right now. 😂
The MGW shifter in the C7 I just picked up takes real effort to find gears and is quite clunky. May have to take it apart and see why it's like that. Very disappointing otherwise.

The Admiral Blue GS's are absolutely stunning! Getting both shifter options gets you quite a bit of flexibility. Which do you prefer?

Yes. Night and day difference over stock. Feels like a bolt action rifle. No rubbery feel at all.
I love my stock shift knob with the MGW, since the 8 Ball look doesn't feel comfortable or match the cars aesthetics.
