The C7 Z06 Corvette is the Best Bang for your Track Buck

- Ben from TrackArmour.com shares his insights on why the company chose to buy a C7 Z06 Corvette over the BMW M4, Shelby GT350 / GT350R and a Nissan GTR. With 650 horsepower and 650lb-ft of torque it didn't need anything else to be track ready right out of the box. However they did add some goodies from APR and MGW to make this Vette perfect on the track. The C8 is of course the newest buy but for the money a used Z06 can not be beat. This car goes much deeper than that for a serious lap time car. The engine mods are numerous and cheap, but make the car professional grade fast on any track. 15k on engine and suspension make the car beyond gt3 class fast, and will stick like glue with slicks without overheating.

Late to the game. I own a 2016 Z06, 3LZ, convertible, in Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic. I have owned a 1988 Z51 Corvette, a 1991 ZR-1 Corvette, and a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. All were great cars, but the C7 Z06 does more than I could ever ask of it. I would like to roll race (on a track) a C8. I like the C8s, but the C7 looks so much better. Thanks for the video!
I did LG shifter and LG sway bars with bumpsteer....all installed at LG (I live in the Dallas area)

nice coverage..i juss bought a 19 zo6 -manuel transm..not long ago...i keep hearing that the overheating issues were primarilly with th automatics...not manuel...transm???the transm n the engines are not connected..what is the REASON???
I too own a '19 Z M7. The reasons 15/16 MYs went into limp mode were the intercooler bricks/SC lid were not cooling the intake temps well under WOT for prolonged periods. Thus the coolant/oil temps skyrocket and ECU shuts down the motor. The trans didn't have ample cooling to it either. GM eventually added a trans cooler to the late MYs and offered owners an upgrade if they could prove the heating issues had occurred.
Also mgw shifter. And lowering it all the way makes it handle like garbage
Real drivers use a manual its far more skill than lame automatic
