"Cool Things You May Not Have Known About Blender" I'd just like to point out how I appreciate how you say "May Not Have Known" instead saying something like "You didn't KNOW" or "YOU'VE BEEN DOING IT WRONG YOUR WHOLE LIFE IN BLENDER LOLOL". You're one of the few true artist tutors on the internet that actually know how to talk to other human beings and with tact, manners, not using click-bait and/or argument-provoking rhetoric. It really restores my faith in humanity to see someone like you finds success in being yourself with your work. Thanks again for another great video! I learn something new every time! 👍👍👍
Perfect timing while taking a couple of Virtual Reality related college courses in making virtual environments. I like am glad that I found this one video of yours in showing how to can move about in the 3D Viewport before exporting it. Thanks for sharing! You're the best!
Fun thing about fly mode: When you are positioning the camera, you can hit CTRL+ALT+Num0 to select the camera, then use fly mode to position the camera. When doing so, hold alt when using WASD to slow movement, hold shift to speed up; press LMB or press Enter to set the camera position.
Thanks, i learned some new stuff that'll come in handy like "pin an editor type" and remembered some stuff i forgot. One of the things i find very useful is "/" for local view, much easier than hiding things if you want to work on just one or (or more) things in a busy scene 🙂
I might be wrong here, but Node Wrangler allows you to CTRL-Shift RMB drag between two nodes and creates the required mix node. As in hold CTRL and Shift together only once 😎
Me: Oh, probably a bunch of tips he or others have already mentioned for beginners. Still a good refresher. Me (20 seconds into the video): I need to like this video immediately. I did not know that and it is useful!
One thing I noticed when using Blender, is that I get so use to using it, I begin to sometimes, use the same controls and can't figure out, why other software is no longer working, I'm pressing S to scale and forget the other thing has a Plus and Minus button to change the size.
When rotating, how is excluding, say the z-axis different from constraining the rotation to the axis? (R,Z vs. R,shift+Z, whether global w/ Z, or local w/ ZZ)
Fun fact about Toggle Quad View: It isn't as great as you think. You only have that one view, and can't use the opposite view. A much better way is to create the quad view manually by creating 4 separate area views using the vertical, and horizontal views.
I found a bug in shader node, sometime black&white data plug into mix color's factor work incorrect, to fix that just add a colorramp between and dont even need to change anything your factor node will work correct !
Ctrl+Alt+Q is a game changer but I personally always ruin it by ADHD-orbiting the camera in each view so it usually just becomes 4 views of the same angle lmao

Thanks! Yeah, I really hate it when youtubers use click bate.
So useful. I had no idea you can walk on your newly made environment. Nice 👌
Its a cool feature!
Doesn't matter how long you've been using this software, there's always something useful to discover 😄
So many fun little aspects that make Blender even cooler. What an awesome program! :D
Great video!
Thanks!
Very helpful tips Ryan. Thanks for uploading.

Ahh yes that works too!
I should use that more in my tutorials. 🙂

Very helpful, thank you !
Glad it was helpful!
Wow this is nice information😊😊❤
Very cool!
Thank you a lot for your cool videos!
They help me to learn so much new stuff for my Bachelor's Thesis (in which I mainly use Blender)
Glad you like them!
Great Video, great Tips. Thanks
You're welcome!

Oh Haha I think your right. For rotation its not really useful.
thanks
You're welcome!

im proud that i already knew and used about a third of them EDIT: Actually more like half
Cool 👍
Linux allows you to resize screen shots before taking the shot.
I use to think Windows was best but Linux is easier and better now.
Oh that's cool. What Linux OS do you use? I use Linux Mint, but it doesn't have the re-size feature.
It's the same in windows.
What your pc configuration
I've been around since 2.77 or something. And I still learned new stuff ☺
cool!
Good man, using Linux!
Yes! Linux Mint!

Oh interesting.
It's not like the Non-color data option on some nodes is it? I'm wondering the 'sometimes' is.
@@NotSoMuchFrankly not only texture img, procedural node too
These are cool but I was a little disappointed that you can't solve 8372/2 in your head instantly ;-)
Haha 🙂
🤯
thanks
