This is a great product but I want to point out a few things, some should be obvious but others not as much. I have installed these in 5 different Trinity systems. Some originally sold as 4GB systems and others as 250GB/320GB systems. 1. 4GB systems will have an existing memory unit you'll have to remove and then also de-solder the connection header. I recommend using low melt solder. 2. Some 250GB/320GB systems while lacking the memory unit will still have a connection header you'll need to de-solder. 3. 4GB systems that shipped with 4GB memory units WILL be able to see the USB storage you attach to this header from the RETAIL NAND. This is likely subject to the USB storage size but I tested this with a 64GB USB flash drive and was able to see 56.7 GB free. 4. 250GB/320GB systems that did NOT ship with 4GB memory units will NOT be able to see the USB storage you attach to this header from the RETAIL NAND. Tested with a 64GB USB flash drive. This is also true if you swap in a Microsoft 4GB memory unit. The RETAIL NAND will not see it. 5. 4GB and 250GB/320GB systems with an RGH NAND will be able to see any size USB storage device you attach to this header. The 4GB and 250GB/320GB RETAIL NAND difference is important to note because the statement below by TheWeekendModder is only true on 250GB/320GB systems: "This product is especially cool for Dual Nand setups since the USB added this way can only be seen when in the RGH side. So you could keep a normal HDD or external USB for your "retail" stuff and then keep all your modding stuff on this internal USB which is never visible to the retail side (offering some protection to your retail nand)."

On my retail NAND I was surprised that I could format it as a "Memory Unit" 56.7 GB free. Read somewhere there was a 32GB limit and I'm currently on dashboard 17511. If I want the 64GB flash hidden from retail should I have left it formatted as FAT32?

I'm curious how much you know about the file system being used by this weekend modder? I've played around with this add on and a usb pen drive...i formatted it in the xbox...internal mu....added a folder "test"...shut down..removed it and plugged it into a computer...it instantly pulled a drive letter...recognized as fat 32....but the folder was not visible even with show hidden .....i added a folder "test 2"....safely ejected....plugged it back into the xbox 360....only the folder i had created "test" from the 360 was visible...retried in pc....only "test 2" was visible.
I desoldered the usb header from the one i got from you and snipped some 28 awg flexible wire...heat shrink tubed it...drilled a hole in the back of the console...soldered the wires where the header was...ran it out the back...then added a usb 3.0 header and put it in a usb header enclosure....so my internal mu is being ran out the back and i can plug anything into it without opening the console....it is spectacular with my samsung evo 250 GB SSD....games like skyrim ...when run on normal hdd...the graphics...for like castle walls you could see lines from the graphic rendering....because as each image is rendered...the read write head has to wait for the next hdd platter revolution...with ssd its instantly rendered...i mean awesome!!
you run each wire from the jst through the vent holes in the wifi card area....then solder them to your 28 awg flexi wire on the other side....then the usb header i posted to the male or female other connecter....that way when you take the case apart...you just pop the side and disconnect the jst
You'd have to trace it back with a multimeter and figure that one out. I've never ruined a point on a chip so I don't know what alternate points may exist.

@iyoe It's USB 2.0. Has too few pins to be USB 3.0 (would need 9 pins in total)

@@ichrismoku hi it was a misunderstanding, they are doing 2tb and another 2tb swap out dvd drive for a hard drive, and another one for external = 6tb.

This will work on retail if it's a 4gb console I've done a similar mod by just cutting up a USB cable.

you dremel a hole out for the header at the back of the console shell and drill your two holes
