I've just lost a job because I called out someone's crappy behaviour. I'd known her for years and felt comfortable telling her to stop being such a bleep! How wrong I was! It's exhausting being on the end of a smear campaign. When things eventually do straighten themselves out in my life, it'll be a blessing. 💯

I went through a big smear campaign. I wish I had known all this stuff back then.

You don’t protect yourself, you run away from it. You take it on the chin, because the moment you try to stand up for yourself it’s too late. They were blasting you to friends, family, and anyone who would listen the moment they met you. You were being torn apart without even knowing. Then boom discard, and you start realizing things aren’t what they seem with everyone that was around your ex. I’ve lost 2 jobs, numerous people I thought were friends, and loads of self esteem from being in multiple NPD experiences over the years. It messes you up.

I remember times when my Ex said his friends don't like me, and he was educating them on what I was really like. There were times he openly kicked off at me in public in front of them, and they did nothing to help me. It was like a show he was putting on and i was the villain in it. 🍒

I learned a lot more from self aware narcissists and dealing with narcissistic abuse than I have from psychologists (though they have helped) a lot.

I used to teach with a difficult coworker, who eventually turned our team against me. I ignored them for a whole year before crying to our supervisor about the passive-aggression, side glares, cold shoulders, criticisms, ganging-up on me, etc. I had to endure. My supervisor confronted the team, and the culprit immediately left the school (and she tried recruiting others to join her at the new school because she was lonely, but no one did.)

Been there twice. Once with a partner (it destroyed my social life). Then with my father in the family circle as I was beginning to see a little too clearly. It's extremely painful.

I told his family members he is abusive and now they have unfriended me 😢

Yeah but how do you deal with an ex female acquaintance who was hacked into your phone since they met you and you've essentially been on big brother for 7 years without your knowledge 🤷

How does that happen? How did you get away from that?

I had the same thing my friend. Narcissistic family members did this to me. You are not alone.
