Alternatively, if you have any means to back-up your save from a cartridge (requires a DS with the GBA port and I believe an R4 cartridge, though there are likely other means as well), you could open up the save in PKSM (3DS) or PKHex (PC) and those should let you know. Not exactly accessible as you need a lot of other stuff, but a lot of people have them so like I said, just an alternative.

I was just bored and wanted to know my secret id, and this video was super helpful. Even if I need to go get another shiny with no evs because the one I have gave 2 possible secret ids, which the only difference was a gender ratio that the pokemon didn't have.

Question: Ive deduced and logged a wild Shiny Pokémon’s IVs from my Diamond Save. Among the results, Can a Shiny Pokémon caught via wild encounter (with no Cute Charm glitch active) in DPPt have Cute Charm as its listed Method when its IVs are calculated through Pokefinder’s IV to PID tool?

I kept track of EVs until I remembered pickup was a thing, so now my Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swamper is level 65 after Winona. Also if anyone needs a Sweet Scent Pokemon in Ruby Sapphire or Emerald, catch an Oddish on Route 117. It'll know Absorb and Sweet Scent. Update 2: welp, time to get 50 rare candies from Pickup since I don't have a copy of Emerald, let alone a 2nd GBA and a link cable. My coral DS lite spoiled me lol
Question I SRed for shiny treecko in a jpn version of sapphire if I figure out my Sceptiles IVs and get my SID does it reset along with the seed each time I restart the game since the internal battery I put in it works. If I take out the battery to prevent new frames will I still have the same SID?

Hi blisy, I’m trying painting method in ruby for flawless groudon, I’m always on seed, but the groudon encounter has always a +-10 frame variance, even by taking the same steps, do you think it has to do with wild encounter generation, even if I’m on repel, or does it have to do with the mini earthquakes from groudon awakening when inside cave of origins?
The shiny pokemon I'm using to deduce IV's from, a Golbat, won't lower it's EV's from berries. When I try, it says "GOLBAT turned friendly. The base *insert berry's applicable stat* can't fall!" This has lead to invalid IV deduction. How can I fix and/or bypass this?

You can talk to the berry master and the girl in sootopolis city to get two random berries every day and so, with a bit of patience, get a kelpsy one and then just a bit of farming (literally;))
Does the shiny from emerald have to STAY in game to use this to find secret ID? I have a shiny Illumise but without knowing I'd need the shiny for all this cool new stuff I'm learning, I transferred it to home. I'm reducing evs in BDSP, but after that will these tools still be able to help me find my secret ID?
This method gives you the secret id of the trainer that catched the pokemon. So yes and no. Yes, if you want to know the secret id of your original save and no, if you don't.

Another way to find your SID quickly is with the use of PKSM on a soft-modded 3DS. You’ll need a completed D/P/P/HG/SS save on cartridge, a DS or DS Lite, and obviously a soft-modded 3DS that has PKSM downloaded. For Gen 3, simply transfer whatever Pokémon you’ve caught on that game to Pal Park using a DS/DS Lite. Then, re-catch them and save. Remember, Pal Park REQUIRES 6 Pokémon to be transferred from the game you’re trying to check for SID. Afterwards, check PKSM for the Pokémon you transferred to your Gen 4 game and you’ll find the SID for your Gen 3 game under their stats. PKSM is insanely useful for checking SID in any Generation spanning from 1-7…

yes because a genuine shiny is “rng’d” through certain values you don’t see (SID, PID) - like in gen 1 a pokemon was shiny in gen 2 if it had the right IVs - i believe a hacked shiny would reflect shiny but the wrong values so you cant see your SID if the values were tampered to get the “shiny stars”

I used the pomeg glitch and code execution glitch to find my SID, without owning any shiny pokémon. Thank god it exists otherwise I'd be screwed! 😂

This works totally fine on any gen 3 game, even the GameCube games. The only thing it doesn’t work on is eggs.
You don’t need to do the leveling in RSE, I just do it in E for the ease of extra candies. As long as you can figure out exact IVs it works
